RIP Sgt. Michael Paranzino / RIP CM
According to Obama.

The President today declared a major disaster exists in the State of Rhode Island and ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms and flooding beginning on March 12, 2010, and continuing.

The President’s action makes Federal funding available to affected individuals in the counties of Kent, Newport, Providence, and Washington.

Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.

Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide.

W. Craig Fugate, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, named Craig A. Gilbert as the Federal Coordinating Officer for Federal recovery operations in the affected area.

FEMA said additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by the State and warranted by the results of further damage assessments.

FEMA said that residents and business owners who sustained losses in the designated counties can begin applying for assistance tomorrow by registering online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA(3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY) for the hearing and speech impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) seven days a week until further notice.

Yay for floods and having your city declared a disaster area. :(

GAAAAHHH! THE COMMIES ARE TRYIN' TO HELP ME! I DON'T WANT YOUR HAND OUTS KOMRADE OBAMA!

And he's ruining the youth of America! They could be out there swimming in it instead of getting a damn handout! Where's my rifle? I need to stroke it gently while singing a good old boy love song.

We want to redistribute those flood waters. We'll only take it from the top 25%.

But seriously, you aren't in any danger, are you Mr. Eko?

Haha no I'm fine Jose, thanks for asking, I live in a one-story house without a basement or anything so I don't really have to worry about the flooding. It does make it really difficult to go out to the store and stuff though, the parking lot infront of my house is flooded to the point where it's basically just a large pond.

Oh well. Rainy days = lazy movie-watching couch-sleeping days.

A couple of weeks ago, I could have literally got in a canoe in my basement and traveled my way to my washer and dryer.

It's about to be like that again.
