My only problem with The Shield breakup....

Da Solo

Getting Noticed By Management
So far, I'm loving the Shield break up. It's been handled perfectly: Rollins went heel and joined HHH, Ambrose is on his ass and quickly becoming the most interesting face on the roster, and Reigns is milking his main event push for all its worth by chasing after the figureheads (HHH, Orton, Kane).

I even like the little redesign each character got. Rollins' new gear took some getting used to, but it fits him. Makes him seem like the acrobat he truly is and gives him distinction while keeping the all black. Reigns looks best in the Shield getup because of his size and badass mean mug. Even though they changed his vest a bit, it's just as good or even better. Ambrose wrestling in jeans and a T-shirt is literally one of the greatest attires for a character I've seen: it's simple and makes him look like a straight up thug when he's coming to the ring.

Now my only gripe about their paths is minor, but I thought it should still be said:

Ambrose should have kept the Shield music and entrance.

I know Reigns is getting the push so you keep him with what's already over, but the whole entrance vibe of the Shield is Ambrose more than the other 2 combined. Imagine The Shield music going off, blaring guitars and all. The crowd is going wild and Ambrose, in his freaking street clothes, is walking down through the crowd hype as hell, muttering to himself and cracking his knuckles ready to whoop ass while he call-and-responses the crowd a bit too. It'd be like a whole 'nother Sandman type vibe. Reigns just walks down like it's a stroll through the park. It wouldn't hurt him to just come from the back and get a new theme. On that note, I'm a little biased because I think Ambrose got the worst end of their news themes. It's generic as hell.

This is a minor complaint xD I was expecting something like Reigns has had 2 world title shots, Rollins is Mr MitB and Ambrose has nothing. No seriously though, I see your point but my guess is Ambrose will have new stuff soon enough. The only reason I guess they kept Shield intro on Reigns is because he's the one they want insanely over right now, the Shield was insanely over so...also because he can knuckle bump audience people without looking xP

Well, I'd actually argue that Ambrose's new ring gear kind of sucks….because:

it's EXTREMELY played out, but I digress.

Anyway, I actually agree with you about Dean coming through the crowd. Ever since FCW, I always viewed him as sort of a rough street urchin type character, kind of a feral child who was raised on the streets, someone that could pair up well with a manager like Jake Roberts. For that reason, i think it fits his character perfectly to come through the crowd, far more than it fits the other two. He should be of the people. Though I do like Dean's new music, I'm pretty happy with that.

I agree OP with everything regarding their individual attire, but wouldn't it be kinda weird if Reigns kept the Shield attire and ditched the music and entrance? I'm not sure you're really thinking that one through.

I think the whole thing is terrific; it must be every rookie's dream to follow a career path like this, using a group to get yourself introduced and established .....then break off and forge a path of your own. That three people were involved in this and all three are actively doing new things is remarkable.

At the beginning of the Shield, I thought WWE management was figuring Dean Ambrose to be the eventual breakout star. He seemed to be the unofficial leader of the group. As the program proceeded, it appeared Roman Reigns was going to be "the one." Seth Rollins seemed almost buried by the other two....so, how terrific is it that he's been given a push as prominent as the one for Reigns? I'm truly enjoying what Rollins is doing,

Some folks on this forum have said that Reigns' push is being rushed. I can't see it; if anything, it was delayed. There was a point a few months ago that he seemed ready to go out on his own.....but WWE management saw something that compelled them to keep the group together for a longer period than I believe was originally intended.

Doesn't matter, though, because look at the three of them now. It's great.

yeah Ambose needs to tweak his attire a little, get rid of the plain white tank topmaybe add a vest of some sort and a sleevless shirt with his gimmick on it similar to brian pillman

I think Ambrose does need a somewhat different attire, however I do agree that he should come through the crowd looking to just kick someone's a$$. I know he's supposed to be a face, but he doesn't have to get the crowd involved, just have him come to the ring like he has tunnel vision, focused on who he's about to wrestle.

I do agree on this, Reigns was always the guy at the back... Ambrose was always the guy leading the Shield... it seemed like "his thing" rather than "their thing" and when they started to tease the dissention it was him seemingly leaving through the crowd.

I get why the E have done it, they REALLY want to make Reigns seem the "man of the people" and thus they are having him interact with them in every entrance.

Attire wise, it's not great what Ambrose is wearing but it does kind of suit his personality in the "no nonsense" way. He's not dressing to impress, he doesn't care... he's just there to kick ass. In an age where the top guy still wears jean shorts a white vest isn't the worst thing to wear...

The hoodie thing is good, although I think they are not using it cos it's "kinda Punk's" thing... If they want him back they're not gonna start letting Ambrose "nick his thing" even if again, it seemed like his to begin with."

If I had to choose attire for him I'd go with something similar to what Pillman used to wear.. or beat Jericho up and steal his light jacket... that might be a great look for Dean as he mockingly lights the jacket up during that fued...

Ambrose keeping The Shield's entrance theme and style would have been cool. He's talented enough though to get over with his new entrance. Roman needed to keep The Shield's theme and entrance motions more than Dean did. Could you see Roman getting over as a monster with some generic rock riff? I don't. His new remix of The Shield song fits him perfectly! While I see the point the threadstarter is trying to make, it makes sense for WWE to have done things the way they did. I dislike Ambrose's new theme, but maybe it will grow on me. A song that shows more elements of the craziness his character is willing to go through to get what he wants, would have benefited him more. Just give it time. He will still make it. All three of them are going to be huge stars.
