With Apocalypse now behind us, it's certainly left its mark as a new World Heavyweight Champion was crowned once the dust was settled. Vengeance will be making an address during this week to reflect upon the events of the pay per view, he will also be facing a former World Champion in the form of Everest, this will be the first time these two have faced off with Vengeance being the champion instead of him, will this inspire the new Champion more or will Everest teach him a thing or two about what it's like to be the top man of the company?
Former Champion Titus will no doubt be looking to bounce back after what seemed like a grouped attempt to make him lose the belt, in some controversial fashion, Vance Bateman has decided that he will face his ally for the past month, Showtime Cougar one on one as Ascension's main event this week. Showtime definitely made his mark not only defeating Ty Burna but also taking him off the stage with The Final Act during the World Title match, will both men focus on just putting on a good match or will their focus be on the Championship that is being held by Vengeance?
Speaking of Ty Burna, no one has seen him since the incident at Apocalypse and isn't expected to appear on Meltdown or Ascension this week, but word has reached us that his valet, Serafina, will be addressing the situation during this week.
Where one superstar vanishes, another one appears as John Constantine made his debut at Apocalypse, interrupting a public address by Doug Crashin. He demanded some competition to face him for his debut match and he's been provided with the Elite X Champion, Austin Reynolds, who successfully defended his belt against Chris Beckford. Has that rivalry finished or will Reynolds try and put the debuting Constatine's words to rest? His Apocalypse opponent Chris Beckford will be facing former Tag Team Champion Mr. Baller this week
Reynolds wasn't the only champion to retain his belt as Big Dave successfully halted the challenge of Blade. With his run continuing to impress, he now sets his sights on Garth Black who came up short against his former partner Phoenix in the Last Man Standing Match, but no doubt he will be focused given his previous history in the tag division. Phoenix who was successful at Apocalypse can now move on and will be facing Blade on Ascension, naturally both men will be wanting to get closer to the Elite X or EurAsian belts given their current runs of late.
Currently one big question that is being asked is "Where is the Mayhem Championship?" The answer remains a mystery still as there was only one clue left and many assume it to be Steven Kurtesy who wasn't seen in the building after the events. Chuck Myles wasn't impressed with how the match ended and has decided that until the Mayhem Championship has been found, Kurtesy will be the one suffering for it, this week he teams up with Doug Crashin once again to reunite Crash-Klinic and they will take on the combined team of Baez and Gordito, word is that this might be No Disqualifications until the belt is found.
The Mayhem Ladder Match also saw some pretty intense heat between Scott Hammond and Chris Jones, both of which came out of the match in a pretty sore situation with the belt being stolen, not to mention that Jones was under a pile of chairs when the match was stopped. These two will face off on Meltdown. The other man who was trapped with Jones, Steven Holmes, will be facing off against the man who cost The Ghetto Stars the tag titles at Apocalypse, Jordan Lights, no doubt his mind is focused on Baller and I doubt we have seen the end of this.
Speaking of the Tag Team Championship, the champions Pride of Toyota wish to see out a pure team to face and have seen their challenge called by Alexander Steele who will team up with newcomer Tucker Graham, will the champions set the mark or will a surprise victory for two of the most recent arrivals be on the cards?
The unpredictable road to Unscripted has begun!
