Eve Taylor couldn't see anything... Try as she might to open her eyes, she was blinded. At first, it was nothing but darkness; as black as night. Any attempts to move were thwarted by the searing pain pulsating through her body; she couldn't move from her position.
'W-what... what happened?'
Eve was hardly able to keep a coherent thought. Her head was in agony, moreso than anything else. This is what was possibly preventing Eve from seeing straight - let alone at all - and doing her best to get up. She tried lifting her arms but something blocked them. It felt like something external was pressing down on them and Eve did not have the strength to remove it. Doing all she could, she turned her head slowly to the side... but that only made matters worse. The pulsating in her head quickened in pace and throbbed harder with each beat. However, she withstood the pain to gain temporary vision in her left eye. Slowly, the darkness faded and became replaced with a sea of red... nothing but red...
"Ahh!" Eve winced in excruciating pain.
She turned her head back to stop the pain but it was no use, the pain intensified and the sea of red merged with the black darkness. Eve quickly scanned everywhere she could with her left eye at what she was seeing but couldn't make out anything except distorted images. Everything was blurry once again but this didn't look like real life... a vision or a memory... and there it was... an unforgiving pair of eyes ... tearing through her very soul...
... the eyes approached closer and closer yet no matter how hard Eve tried, she couldn't defend herself. She struggled as best she could but it was no use... the eyes came close to Eve, piercing through her. After what felt like an eternity, the eyes shifted gaze to
Senshuken who laid defenseless on the ground. A wicked smile procured from underneath the eyes.
"No! No!" Senshuken screamed. "Help! Help me, Eve! Help me...."
The sound of Senshuken pleading for his life trailed off as the eyes and Senshuken were gone in mere seconds... Eve tried reaching out for him but it was too late...
... Senshuken disappeared...

... Eve was forced to lay on the ground in a sea of red and a blanket of darkness until she heard something in the distance...
"Leon! Come! Quick! Get help!"

... Eve woke up... slowly, she opened up her eyes... Eve did so with caution, making sure the sea of red & blanket of darkness no longer resided nearby. To her relief, what she woke up to was laying in a hospital bed. She had no recollection of how she got there but she was thankful the nightmarish realm did not exist here.
She did her best to sit up but the pain had yet to completely subside. She couldn't do much other than let the bed keep her posture in tact. Eve turned her head to investigate further, looking around the room. It looked as if she was with other patients (& not in a private room) and the dimmed lights suggested it was night time. She spotted the chair next to her bed which housed her gear & all important essentials she left in her locker room... except for Senshuken...
... Eve straightened her head back into position and leaned into the pillow. She began rubbing her hand across her forehead, trying to stop the pain in her head... but it felt a little different... she felt a gash across her head... slowly, she rubbed it and she looked at her fingers...
... she saw the sea of red...
... and the blanket of darkness began to creep back in...

... Eve pulled the towel away from her face... her face was dry after wiping it down from having a shower... she thought after having flown back to the states and being in a five star hotel bathroom would make her feel better... but she felt empty.
She stepped out of the shower and looked at her naked self in the mirror, parting her hair away from her forehead to reveal the scar. It was weeping; days removed from the attack and it still trickled red... trickling red...
... Eve began to get a painful migraine & began to rub her forehead again...

... but unfortunately, the pain would not go away... rubbing it did not do anything... Eve could feel th-
"Hey! Hey Eve!" A familiar voice echoed.
Eve shook her head, looking up. She noticed she was no longer in the bathroom of that hotel but in a room with
Stacey Madison. Her once naked body was now covered up with clothes. It only felt like mere seconds ago she was inside a hotel room recovering but now she was being interviewed by her work colleague and occasional friend, hours from her next match (which she derived from her sports bag full of gear on the floor... Eve never brought her gear unless she was wrestling that night). Everything had changed... except for the scar on her head, still haunting her as it had the past week.
"Did you hear the question?" Stacey asked, trying her best not to be annoyed given the circumstances. "Do you need to lie down or something?"
Eve continued to rub her head despite her efforts proving fruitless up until this point. Her body language suggested she did not listen to a single word Stacey had to say. In fact, Eve couldn't really care at this point. How could she care when she had no Earthly idea where Senshuken was.
"Eve? Hello?" Stacey asked again, waving her hand in front of Eve's face. "We can reschedule the interview if you're going to be unresponsive."
This did not stop Taylor from doing what she had been doing for what seemed like the entire interview. Annoyed, Stacey was about to get up but it was at this time Eve decided to speak.
"I'm sorry, Stacey." Eve apologised, keeping Stacey engaged. "I... uh... I haven't exactly... my frame of mind..." Eve trailed off for a moment to try and form an actual sentence. "I'm sorry I cannot provide you with the respect and decency you deserve for this interview not as a journalist but as a person I can consider a friend for whatever there is between us... but my head isn't where it's supposed to be right now for a few reasons Stacey..."
Eve uses one finger to rub her head; Eve used her finger to visually show reason number one whilst still rubbing her head.
"One: my head is on a swivel. I've been seeing these damned visions every day with red and black and eyes and a wicked smile that I cannot seem to shake. I try to look the other way but no matter what I do, they're there."
"What's there?" Stacey interrupted.
"I just said it, Stacey. The colours and the images. They're following me and I can't get rid of them... not only are these imaginary creations haunting me but I have to keep another eye out for where Senshuken could be or the... thing that took my championship. I have to be prepared for another attack or a chance to do so to get back my Senshuken that was stolen from me..."
Another trail off as Eve winced in pain, her head pounding. Stacey looks to try and help but Eve put her hand up, signalling that she wasn't in need of assistance. Stacey sits back in her chair as the hand of Eve turns into a two fingers.
"Two: there are a few screws loose up here." Eve mentions, using her knuckles to knock her temple. "Not only am I experiencing visions as well as recovering from a beating that severely damaged my head, somebody took MY FUCKING SENSHUKEN!"
Eve curled up her fist and hurled it towards the wall, smacking it as hard as she can. If Eve's hands were made from stronger materials, she would've smashed a hole in the wall. Stacey jumped slightly at the act as Eve retreated her hand towards her chest, using her other hand to rub it.
"Do you know who it was?" Stacey said, trying to keep the interview on track. "Leon mentioned that you said 'he took Senshuken' when he found you lying on the ground. Can you shed some light?"
She does her best to point three fingers in the air.
"And three... my head hurts. Between seeing these things, the physical pain I feel and the stresses of trying to keep on guard, I cannot think straight. No matter how hard I try to sit down and replay the situation in my head, the best I get are the eyes... and the smile... and this is what pisses me off the most."
Eve's head remained pointed towards the floor but her eyes look directly at Stacey.
"With all do respect, I wouldn't be here sitting down and talking with you in an interview if I remembered who... or what took Senshuken. To be honest, I barely remember having this interview scheduled as it was - let alone what I've done throughout the entire week; it's been a complete blur - so consider it a miracle I turned up. If I knew the asshole that attacked me from behind to take Senshuken away from me, I'd be hunting them down. I don't care what I'd have to go through or how many more beatings I needed to take. Hell, I couldn't care less if I didn't show up to work at all... there is nothing more important to me than retrieving Senshuken by any means necessary. Nothing! My match tonight, my job, the winner of the Gold Rush tournament, my health & safety... nothing other than getting back Senshuken."
Stacey saw how serious Eve was about her statement by looking into her eyes. It stared daggers through Stacey, much like how the haunting eyes stared daggers through Eve.
"So... without knowing who did this... what would you do then?"
Eve let out a small grin for the first time in a long while.
"Well, if I can't get my hands on Senshuken's captor, I might as well get my hands on someone else. As a famous friendly psychiatrist once said, 'it's best to let your anger out than keep it bottled in.' I hope he's right because this hourglass figure has got a blockage somewhere that needs fixing... and as of this moment, the only opportunity I have is in my match tonight against Veejay. Unless he was the one who stole Senshuken, I have nothing personal against him... but a girl's got to vent."
Eve slowly gets up out of her chair, holding her hand.
"Oh, and Stacey... if you happen to be privy to any information regarding who took Senshuken... don't tell me until after the match and lead that person to a monitor when I'm in the ring. I want them to see just what this pissed off Italian woman can do when you've taken away her fucking baby."
As Eve left the interview, all she could see was a sea of red wrapped in a blanket of darkness. However, it wasn't the same colours that had been haunting her. The darkness she could see was the one within her and the anger that had been released by the acts of the person who took Senshuken away from her. The piercing eyes and the wicked eyes were not following her any more. Instead, she was the one who wore the deadly vision and had a creepy smirk from ear to ear...
... Eve was ready to go out into the ring and release what was within her... if she couldn't see Senshuken again, she had to let its captor know what kind of monster they'd leave behind...
