A feint squeaking can be heard as the shadow of a light fixture swings in a confined room. The light fixture swings slower and slower until it crashes it the ground below. A grunt can be heard followed by a small sniffle, as if one were crying. A match is lit in the dark room as the figure strikes the edge of the wick of a candle. The candle light flickers as it moves closer to the face of its holder, The Beard. The candle reveals only half of Beard’s face, the familiar side that which the crowds use to rejoice and get behind. All that remains is a shell of his former self.

We could’ve been somebody. We could’ve been somebody. But you just had to ruin it like everything else in life. You had the dream and now you let it collapse right in front of you.

Beard speaks with a raspy voice and tears swell up in his eyes before the candle light switches sides to reveal the darker, more monstrous side of Beard. The side Ezekiel Hewitt forced out.

But we are somebody. We are the villain. We are the scary monster. We are the freak show. Ricky Runn will have his moment, but it will be crushed. Our focus is no longer on him or the championship belt.

Our focus is on the one they call Titus.

Hewitt walks into the room with a lantern in hand to address his monster.

And while Mr. Titus has done his fair share of work in the acting world and has been through hell and back in WZCW, this is a hell he hasn’t yet encountered. This is the hell of a desperate man.

Beard turns and grabs the lantern and walks out of the room into a more spacious living corridor, where he begins to pace back and forth.

You’ve played the hero for the last time Titus. It is due time that the villain wins. And this monster will not be defeated again. Luck wasn’t on my side at Redemption and if you want to make it through Meltdown Titus, you better hope you have that luck that Ricky Runn had. Luck is for losers and when it runs out those losers are executed.

And this man right here is the executioner. Titus you’re last role will be a good one I will tell you that. That isn’t something you have to worry about. You will always be remembered for your heart and determination. Sometimes though the hero has to die Titus and that’s no shame. Your performance at Meltdown will be award worthy, but it will not be enough.

Beard slams down the lantern as a small blaze builds up through the dark room. Hewitt looks around and admires Beard’s fire, both physically and metaphorically.

You see Titus, it will be another man who wins the award. For once it will go to the man who deserves it. This man has worked and sacrificed a family to get where he is today. He is the one deserving of the rewards. Not you Titus. Not you Ricky Runn. Not you Barbosa. No one holds a candle to this man’s rage, his passion, his hunger for this company. Yet he is only see as a “gimmick”. Well this “gimmick” is on the verge of becoming something more dangerous than ever. And that award goes to…

Beard walks into the screen as he shoves Hewitt out of his way and in a whispers he states the answer for all to hear.

The Beard

Hewitt laughs at his disciples work as Beard has a half smirk across his face. The flames spread across the floor as they read “Fear the Beard”. As the smoke fills the room Beard and Hewitt become feint shadows before a swift slam of the door, disappearing into the cold of the night.

6 things you probably didn't know about Titus Avison.

Titus Avison is one of the strangest enigmas in the celebrity world. He's been a superhero who is loved by Keystone City, Kansas. He's won four Oscars and for some reason he prefers to wrestle. Adored by fans the world over, men want to be him and women want to be with him. Yet the question is, do we know the real Titus Avison?

He's British.

You think of Titus and you think of Keystone City in Kansas. This blue collar town which is famous for its manual work is a town that is as American as they come. Yet their hero is not a native and in fact during his first run in WZCW had never mentioned. Titus was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in England. This is another blue collar town which offers the beach, countryside and lots of history. He'll switch between accents from time to time but he's British by Birth, Keystonian by the grace of God.

His debut was a disaster.

As one of the most decorated wrestlers in WZCW history it comes as great surprise that his debut was a disaster. This was a six man tag match and he was obviously pinned for this. Backstage wrestlers didn't want an actor in the place and they actively petitioned Chuck Myles to get Titus fired. After missing Meltdown 2 Titus pleaded to be in Meltdown 3 and he improved a lot. Eventually he won over his peers and very quickly the fans were behind him. If it wasn't for his resilience things would be totally different and Coronation Avenue would have a new star.

Titus and rematches don't happen.

Titus was Elite X champion for some time and lost it in a triple threat match. He was never pinned and never got a rematch. Titus has also lost the world title twice and in neither occasion has he been granted a rematch either. Whilst he was annoyed initially he has mellowed and states that if he's lost he should make his way back up for the right to have the belt and not given it. Rightly so.

Red Mask is technically an outlaw.

In 2010 mayor Byron Turner of Keystone City outlawed vigilantism. In 2012 the new mayor of K. de Frogg took the city by storm. One such thing he did was acknowledge the work that Red Mask did for Keystone and told him personally he's free to do what he wants. The law, however, hasn't officially been repealed so any time our hero steps to defend what's right he's technically an outlaw.

He has a 'brother'.

Before he disappeared in his first WZCW run Titus was stalked by a mysterious LA. LA showed up on the titantron, left letters and sent phone messages. Who was LA? The plan was to have Luke Avison debut in WZCW as Titus' brother and have them team up. It was nixed when Titus disappeared and Luke Avison never appeared. It should be noted that this was not his real brother but just someone who could use the family name.

He killed someone.

Swindle McKenzie was the manager of Carmen Bratchny who sadly passed a few years back. Many fans remember this as the moment that got Bratchny to be adored as well as Karen McKenzie coming to the fray. What does this have to do with Titus? McKenzie was taken to hospital and found to have a brain aneurysm after a match between Bratchny and Titus. The incident was caused by Titus jumping from the top rope to hit Carmen but missing and hitting Swindle. Medical staff state that this condition was already there before hand but conspiracy theories still persist.
