After the excitement of Kingdom Come, WZCW's application list has increased vastly. Now we will see some more newbies face off for their right to compete in this company, who will rise above the rest to join the WZCW Elite.

Deadline is Monday 8th March 2010 23:59 EST

*camera cuts to backstage, where Chris Jones is seen leaning against a wall, lazily watching the stage crew run around. Leon Kensworth soon walks up beside him, mic in hand*

Kensworth: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here now with one of the men who is set to compete in the contract battle royale this week on Meltdown, Chris Jones. Chris, welcome to WZCW.

Jones: Well, thank you very much Mr. Kensworth.

Kensworth: It's alright, you can call me Leon.

Jones: *stares at Kensworth blankly for a minute before continuing* Right. Anyway, Mr. Kensworth, I'm sure the reason you're here right now is so that I can introduce myself to the fans, and tell you all just who I am, and what I'm about, right?

Kensworth: That was the basic idea, yes...

Jones: Well, if there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that actions speak much, much louder than words. So, rather than tell you and the people watching what I'm about, why don't I show you?

Kensworth: Um....alright?

Jones: Good. If you'd just head for the nearest exit, please?

Kensworth: ....why?

Jones: *sighs* Because I'm new here and I don't know my way around. Head for an exit and I'll be right behind you.

*Kensworth frowns slightly before heading down the hall. Jones starts to follow, before stopping and looking back at the camera. He motions for the cameraman to follow him, who starts to do so. All three men walk down the hallway until they get to a door. Jones opens the door and steps outside, looking around the snow-covered street for a moment*

Kensworth: Why are we outside?

Jones: Don't worry about that right now.

Kensworth: But there must be a reason you-

*Jones cuts Kensworth off by quickly shushing him, then starts walking down the street. Kensworth looks at the cameraman, shrugs, and starts following him, the cameraman right behind him. After about ten minutes of walking, Jones stops in front of a bar. He turns to Kensworth and the cameraman*

Jones: Alright. You two stay right here-no, wait...

*he takes a few steps backwards and motions for Kensworth and the cameraman to move forward, who do so*

Jones: Stay right here. Regardless of what you hear or see, stay put.

*Jones then grabs the camera and turns it to face an alley beside the bar*

Jones: Keep the camera right there. I'll be back in a minute.

*Jones then leaves the camera's viewpoint and heads into the bar. After a few seconds, there are loud screams and crashes heard from inside. Kensworth looks at the cameraman briefly before a loud crash is heard. The window facing the alleyway shattered as someone was seemingly thrown out of it. Before the man in question could get up, Jones is seen jumping out of the same window and attacking the man. He violently stomps on the man's ribs, screaming and shouting the whole time. He continues to pound on him, eventually picking up a nearby trash can and throwing it at him. Kensworth can only watch on in shock as Jones finishes by picking up the man and dropping him into a dumpster, slamming the lid on his head for good measure. He soon walks back towards the two, breathing heavily*

Jones: THAT is what I'm about.

Kensworth: .....WHAT?! Just attacking random people and damaging them for life?

Jones: *glares at Kensworth* Are you stupid or something? I don't ever attack anyone without a purpose.

*Jones then points back into the alleyway*

Jones: That man is a highly skilled hacker, who has gone into any bank account he can and stolen money. He has about 50 grand that doesn't truly belong to him.

Kensworth: You don't know that!

Jones: Oh, trust me, I do.

Kensworth: Well, why not let the police handle it?

Jones: Oh, please. Do you really think the police can track him down? They're lucky if they can arrest the right guy in a domestic violence case. They can't be considered competent enough to catch a computer nerd who can get rid of any evidence that incriminates him with a push of a button.

Kensworth: Well....fine! But you went way too far with him!

Jones: Too far.....TOO FAR?! What if it had been YOUR money that was stolen, Kensworth?! What if it was your money, your money that was supposed to feed your children, that was supposed to send them to school, that was supposed to keep a roof over their heads?! What if it was all you had, and some selfish fat prick like him just came along and took it?! Would it be "too far" then?!

*Jones points into the alleyway again*

Jones: That man may not put knifes to people's throats, or rape anything that walks, but he still ruins people's lives. If you ask me, what happened just now is the least that should happen to him.

*Jones looks at the camera*

Jones: You see, when I get into WZCW, and trust me, I will, everyone will learn real quick, that THAT....was justice.

*Jones then pushes past both Kensworth and the cameraman, heading back to the arena as the camera fades to black.

The camera is looking at a warehouse in downtown Chicago. It walks downstairs and we see Hancock sitting in the basement. One light is on and you can barely see Hancock in the corner.

Hancock: This is the first place I saw my first fight, fought my first, and my last. This is where I got my first break, if you can call being thrown in an underground fight when you’re 8 years old a break. This is where I learned life is unfair and the only thing you can do is fight it. You try taking what life gets you, just going with the flow, get’s you bruised and broken. When you fight back you gain respect and you own life. That first fight I tried to run away but the wall of drunken men pushed me back to the monster. Mike Gizzani was his name, 6 foot, 19 year old who was built like an ox. And that idiot didn’t hold anything back against the 8 year old that was being scarred for life. He broke two bones and he was the goal I used to train and face my opponents. 5 years later I saw that mammoth at one of my fights. Beer belly, obese, and balding at 24, I challenged him and fought him until he died of cardiac arrest. From the point of having my head bashed in, to me feeling someone else’s blood against my face, was where I realized the life I was born into was the equivalent of hell. And you can’t make a deal with the devil, only beat him into submission. That’s the way I live life and that’s the way I’m going to take my WZCW career.

When I step into that ring it will be completely different than from my first fight. Back when I was inexperienced and afraid I got knocked around. Now I’m experienced and the only people who are going to be afraid in that ring are my opponents. When I started my dad didn’t give me the apple I was supposed to be reaching for. I wasn’t even aware of the punishment of losing. I had no motivation; I was a lost fighter, one who is confused and easily beaten. I learned that the apple was also the stick. The treasure of being at home with no bruises, no broken bones, and a quiet father was the greatest treasure of all. The sound of my father’s voice, my mom’s screams, the spit hitting my face; were the things that made me want to see my opponent eyes go shut. To stop the pain of others and to stop the pain of myself, you don’t just follow the devil’s orders you take his task and make it your own. You realize how it can help yourself and the ones you care about. You beat the devil at his own game and it becomes your own. He stays on my shoulder through every fight, up until today. Now I am the devil for my own game, I won’t have to change his intentions because they are my own. When I see the other rookies I will know my dad is far away. The devil will walk into that ring and walk away with my goal and his, a WZCW contract.
