Match Stips that make you scratch your head

Ok so I was feeling a little nostalgic and decided to read over past WWE/F PPV results on wiki (yes the best knowledge website ever...but seriously) and it amazed me some of the interesting or bizarrest (sp?) stipulations that WWF actually executed for their matches. 2 of the strangest ones that come to mind are the 1-2-3 kid vs razor ramon in a crybaby match and Goldust vs Undertaker in a "Final Curtain" match, where essentially you could only win via pinfall which confuses me as to why they had to give the match a name.

Anyway I wanted to get your thoughts on what you thought the most unusual or unnecessary stipulations for a match in any promotion were in the history of pro wrestling and just for kicks tell me if you thought wwe or tna or another promotion could get away with trying these strange stipulations nowadays.

I personally have always thought that The King of the Mountain match was way too compiled with stipulations. The idea of the reverse ladder match thing is mildly entertaining, but the penalty box and mandatory pinfall victory is just a little too much. Also, I remember a couple of kiss my ass matches happening back in the Attitude Era that were just stupid.

I agree. As cool as KOTM can be, its gotten WAY TOO complicated over the years. You have to pin someone to earn the chance to go up the ladder? And the person pinned spends 2 minutes in the penalty phone booth? How many other stips will be on that piece of crap? Then one year they add in certain 'Special Enforcers'?

I've never really gotten the thing about Strap matches (or any kind of matches that involves you and your opponent to be tied together) and I must honestly admit I never liked them either.

I know there's like a million worse gimmick matches that could come to mind eventually, but the strap match is one that just pinged pretty instantly in my head, the fact that you have to wander around the ring, tap 4 ringposts without being physically in contact with your opponent, unless you want the count of ring posts to be reset, boring if you ask me, could've easily done something better with the Strap stipulations.

A good one is the texas death match where you have to pin your opponenet and then get a ten count. I always enjoy those. Or how about a Bodybag Match? Or that awful Concrete crypt match which just didn't work at all. There seems to be a whole list featuring the Undertaker. A Reverse Battle Royal etc... is always pretty confusing (and has Russo's fingermarks all over it and that atrocious Kennel from Hell Match). There's a bunch of them.

The Crazy 8 match that PWU used to do. Why the hell would trampolines be surrounding the ring? It makes little to no sense to me.
