Lost Koz-lov

Mac Attack

I'm neat.
Vladimir Kozlov has never won any type of WWE title. He statrted as a general monster and then started a downward spiral and is now teaming wiht Santino. Kozlov has had many memorable matches but has never had a Wresttlemania match although he served as a lumberjack in the wwe tag team unification match. Kozlov had the potentiallity of being one of best WWE heels but is now a face and is being forced to compete in Dance-OFFS

I wanted to know what you think killed the momentum that Kozlov had and whta could evntually boost him up to stardom again.

I think when he was traded to ECW is what killed him and possibly the winning of the atg titles could help boost his momentum
YOUR THOUGHTS

As soon as he lost to Shawn Michaels to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. I'm not saying he should've won that match, but the weeks that followed could've been better. Have him feud with someone going into Wrestlmania in just a single's match at least. Or he could have just went with an Intercontinental or U.S. title run.
To build back up his momentum, get rid of Santino. Turn on him instantly before your legacy is destroyed even more. He's not a good face at all. He's a Russian, Communist, bland boring. Remember his old attire? White trunks and black boots. Nothing special. But his mean streak will ultimatly get him over. He was my pick for the next WWE Champion. He could still get there, just focus on winning instead of of kissing the fans' ass.

Kozlov would be a multi-time world champion by now if for one little thing, if only he was over. He's actually over now, but only as a comedy character. But as a serious challenger for world titles people just didn't give a shit about him. He was put over numerous times by super-over faces like Jeff Hardy & Triple H. And I also believe he pinned Undertaker clean in late 2008. One of the best pushes given to somebody new in recent years and nobody could connect to him.

Kozlov's push would've been brilliant if only they picked a better guy to use. If only Swagger had been given similar treatment when he was champion.

Russia isn't seen as the threat it was back when The Koloff's and other Russian wrestlers were dominant. Kozlov doesn't pose a threat to anyone because he can't speak good English, he's not that big, and no one cares about Russia.

The answer is an Arabic character similar to the Muhammad Hassan character that was so controversial. If Kozlov was Arabic, he'd be a viable threat to the WWE title. Hassan's push was killed because of terrorist bombings in London, I believe. If it wasn't for that, Hassan would have been a legit threat for a world title of some kind.

Kozlov simply doesn't pose a threat to anyone, which is why he's never gonna be a World Champion. Or a successful champion anyway.

Kozlov is a prime example of the amazing talents WWE has, but choose to keep the 'selected' few in the Main Event. His Start In WWE is one of the best ever, Undefeated for the best part of 2008 (or 09 correct me), WWE title contender, Smackdown Main Eventer...and now is basically a larger Santino (Another Wasted Talent IMO). Even during his time in ECW, he was still dominant. Bring back The Moscow Mauler, the man who could headbutt a wall and the wall would come out worse. I Liked watching Kozlov when he was a Russian Bad-ass...until WWE change him, have fun wrestling The Uso's every week on Superstars...I'm Just Sayin....

I think the main problem is that the guy is HORRIBLE on the mic. The past 'evil' russian characters may not have been great but they were able to create some heat, however Vozlov is terrible. In modern WWE its vital that you can speak and get a reaction from the live crowd, he simply cant do it. He's ok in the ring but without a connection to the audience you are never going to get a push.

Kozlov is a terrible character from start to finish.

He started off as a monster heel and then all of the momentum seemed to be drained out of him due to a couple of different factors. One moment he was on an undefeated streak that was putting him amongst the players, the next moment he was in a tag team with Santino Marella doing dance moves in the middle of the ring.

That being said, I don’t think that they are missing out on much. I always found Kozlov to one of the most boring entities in the WWE and even his in-ring performance left a lot to be desired, in my eyes anyway.

I mean, he does what the WWE want him to do and that is be a monster heel or a comedy face and that is all that he will ever be. I do recall that he was feuding with Triple H when he started. Something must have happened there to make him fall down the pecking order so swiftly. In my opinion, it was that he had no connection with the fans and even now he struggles to make that connection. It is a sad day when Santino Marella is the highlight of your tag-team.

I guess what really killed his momentum was when he lost to HBK, sincethat was what ended his undefeated streak. I think in order for him to get back on the path to stardom is for him to go back to how he was when he debuted: just go into the ring and beat people up. That is what I liked about Koslov, he didn't need to say much. Koslov would just go straight into the ring and take care of business. He would let his actions speak for him.

i really dont remember anything memorable about kozlov...i can't remember a fued a match anything about him that warrants him being up in a better slot that he's at now...dont get me wrong NO ONE should be forced to team with santino for more than one match but kozlov isn't exactly a top draw nor was he ever one...the "double double e" isn't exactly sitting on a sleeping giant with kozlov

No one ever gave two shits about Kozlov. I think the biggest problem was that he was thrust into the main event so quickly and kept beating down guys like HHH and Hardy but couldn't draw heat. After his one on one winning streak ended against HBK, I think that was when everything went downhill. Creative couldn't figure out what to do with him anymore, I don't think he played a significant part in that year's Wrestlemania, and he faded into obscurity. The guy never connected with the crowd, negatively or otherwise so WWE does to Kozlov what they love to do with monster heels: turn them into comedy characters.

Now granted, Kozlov seems to be much more over as a face than he was as a heel but to me this only proves that since it took pairing him with Santino to draw a decent crowd reaction, that he'll never be a credible world champion. Or at least, not in the forseeable future.

kozlov died when he lost to HBK to face taker at WM it just ended like that 1 lost next day santino partner... its crap... He needs to turn on santino maybe in a tag team tittles match and then destroy cody and drew and move to SD and face posibly a face IC champ. Stick a GOOD manager to this guy and u got your self a great heel maybe even a bigger monster he has in 2008

Kozlov is awful anyways, I enjoy him more as a comedy character and as a face. He isn't good in the ring, and it showed when he was put in feuds with main event guys (Taker, Triple H, Jeff Hardy). I rather have him and Santino win some damn matches though. I loved the Kozlov where there was no music, he just walked in and squashed people. It got boring after awhile but just because he's a face doesn't mean he should be weak. I wish he was still considered the "Tough Russian" when he was a heel, this would make him and Santino win some damn matches.

Plus, in OVW, Santino had a gimmick of a Russian shoot fighter. This gimmick showed that Santino is pretty solid in the ring, I wish they would bring back this gimmick and have a Russian sort of duo here. Kozlov has the look, Santino has the in ring skills.
