Largest move set in the WWE?

Ace Sleeper

That's some grade 'A' protein!
Lately a lot of people (especially during the WZ tournament) have been calling superstars out on their move sets and predictable formula, etc. So this brings up the question, since there's so many superstars with limited move sets, who in the WWE do you think has the widest range of moves. I'm saying WWE, because you could make the argument about people in indy promotions and their non ending move sets. And with superstars in the WWE 'having no freedom in the ring' as some of you say, what's your opinion? Who has the largest set in the WWE?

And you know what? While we're here, who has the most limited move set? Which superstar is absolutely the most predictable with their moves and formula in the WWE?

Clearly the most predictable and limited move set belongs to John Cena. Anybody who says or thinks otherwise is a complete tool. The Person with the largest move set in WWE would have been Jericho when he was still there (man of 1,004 holds don't you know), but currently, IMO, it would have to be Daniel Bryan. Sure he's got some spots that he uses repeatedly but no two matches are the same and when given time, he can have a great match with anybody. Proof? Miz/Daniel Bryan from Raw. Amazing match.

The most predictable for me are :
John Cena,Sheamus and Randy Orton

IMO the actual largest move set in the wwe belongs to...well I'd say John Morisson.

EDIT : I forgot to mention something !!! The smallest moveset doesn't belongs to Cena !! It belongs to the Big SHOW !! (punch, clotheline, chokeslam...that's all folks ^^ )

Obviously, like everyone said, John Cena has the most predictable moveset in all of WWE.
-He loses for the most part, comes back with two shoulder blocks, ducks a clothesline for the pre-knuckle shuffle slam, 5-knuckle shuffle, goes for FU [AA] and gets reversed.

I'd have to say the superstar with the largest moveset have to be:
Daniel Bryan, Chavo Guerrero, Drew McIntyre, Chris Masters

Have you noticed that most Maine-eventers have that predictable john cena type set up orton, edge, bigshow(if you count him as one),rey and lots more
But anyway I would say that Daniel bryan has the largest moveset in the wwe

Masters actually has a pretty large moveset now:

masterlock, spinebuster, samoan drop, diving shoulder block, military press, overhead toss slam, clothesline etc. but probably not the largest

tbh, the largest moveset would belong to somebody like regal or bryan, although id say regal definitely has a larger moveset cos he taught bryan and has more tricks in the book.. shame we dont see him wrestle much these days :(

Kane has a pretty limited moveset in my opinion. Uppercut, big boot, clothsline in corner, choke slam and tombstone on occassions.

Didn't think Jericho was in WWE anymore so I will go with Morrison and Daniel Bryan with the largest moveset.

We also need to remember that WWE does ban and prevent wrestlers from using many moves so sometimes it is not their fault that they only have a few moves. Personally I think Undertaker vs HHH will basically be a punch, kick match but the emotion of the match could make it enjoyable.

In my opinion the most predictable is Cena(obviously), The Great Khali(chop, whip in the corner followed by stomps, headbutt, vise grip(haven't seen him use that in a while), and the double handed chokeslam)

The largest: either Bryan, or John Morrison

what? kane has a decent sized moveset.
he has the moves you said the clothesline from the top rope, sidewalk slam, he throws dropkicks when his opponents are sitting up and more

but yeah i would agree that its bryan, then morrison 2nd

The amount of moves wrestlers in the WWE perform regularly, and I must emphasize there's nothing wrong with this, probably maxes out at 20.

Frankly, I'm amazed that the argument that an expansive move set inherently results in quality wrestling has survived this long.

I don't understand. How does this make sense to you? Don't you think that if a wrestler has a more expansive move set it would make their matches more watchable? Example: Not trying to hate on Cena (although I can't stand him), but all his matches are pretty much the same and that's because all he does is take a beating all match, hulk up, 2 flying shoulders, sit out belly to back suplex, 5 knuckle shuffle, reversed AA, take another mini beating, hit the AA or STF, 1...2...3. I know he gets the crowd involved, but when you know what's going to happen you lose interest.

Now somebody like DB, Jericho, Punk can have a different match every night and it's exciting because you know you're not going to see the same thing they did last week.

It's 2011. If you're still making the Cena only knows 5 moves argument, you're a ******.

That's because people like yourself obviously don't understand the 5 move argument. It's not that he uses a set of moves like everybody else does in their matches, it's that he ONLY does those moves throughout an entire match give or take a different move here and there. So please...next time you want to try to flame somebody, take the match and press it firmly into your own eyeball :p

I gotta say Rey Mysterio.Half the shit he does amazes me.I mean he has so many ways to get them into the 619 the different moves he used to do of after the 619 and more.

I would have to go with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. They have huge movesets, most of which are moves that they do not use in the WWE

In his younger days I would have gone with Rey Rey too

Are you kidding me, everyone in wrestling uses the same moves pretty much every match, do you really want guys to use a completely new moveset every match? Ugh.

I'm not a big fan of the "5 Moves of Doom" criticism, but I do tend to like guys who can pull more out of their bag when it's needed.

I don't know who has actually mastered the most moves, but based on what I've seen, I would say Kurt Angle, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Randy Orton and A.J. Styles are the most likely.

Once again people only hear what they want to hear. Read nice and slow this time. I realize that all wrestlers have their own signature moves but John Cena's 5 signature moves make up 90% of his moveset. Atleast other workers space out their signature moves and sprinkle in different stuff. John Cena does ONLY his 5 moves of doom.

Smallest moveset:

Has everyone forgotten the Great Khali?, between the likes of him and Mark Henry you still have less than ten moves.

R-Truth in my opinion is an honorable mention when it comes to predictability however, including the finish.

Most moves? Jericho's 1004 moves was an amusing nod to the man that I think still holds that record: Dean Malenko. William Regal also gets a nod here, along with Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and Benoit. These men could throw out something new at the drop of a hat and often did depending on the opponent.

In the current WWE, the largest moveset I do think goes to Daniel Bryan. Morrison does have a lot of moves but we still haven't seen everything Bryan has to offer yet. He's in the vein of most of the wrestlers I mentioned above who can throw out something new at any given moment.
