well first off ill start with this he beatin everyone he ever fueded with more times since coming to tna, more than they beat him, and with his feud he devalues the person ex. christain to me every since he fueded with angle he never been the same, and AJ hes not so ever put him over i mean there trying to make Aj a serous character and a threat why have him lose to angle every week, and in fact the only person i remember him losing to was joe and thats the last time he lost a match to anyone so what do you guys think.

While i certainly agree that Angle is WAY overused in TNA i think the comparison to Hogan is somewhat extreme. Kurt Angle has excellent in ring skills, he can carry match. Hogan on the other hand was NEVER good in the ring and downright terrible today (Orton and Michaels had to oversell hogan terribly in his last two matches). also at least unlike hogan Angle doesn't have year long title reigns in every promotion he is used in. TNA has yet to have WWE level success due to many reasons. Overusing wrestlers could be a factor in TNA's Slump , but i think if TNA were wise they would stop using old gimmicks *cough Black Machismo cough* come up with some new stuff and just entertain us with good old in ring action. (like the old days of TNA)

There are several similarities between Angle and Hogan, however, I believe that the difference outweighs enough to end the comparison.

First of all, Hogan was brought in by Vince McMahon to be the flag bearer of the company. Angle's role seems more to coach the younger guys. He seems to be like the two most recent incarnation of Ric Flair in WWE. He was rewarded with a championship, even recognized as a world champion. He is big in Japan. Both of these are Flair contributions as opposed to Hogan. (Yes I realize Hogan was big in Japan, but nowhere close to Flair.)

Secondly, Hogan was built as the "future" whereas Kurt Angle is being built as the present. Angle is also being used to show the fans there is an alternative that even the wrestlers feel is superior. Where Hogan was the flag bearer of the nationalization of the sport, Angle is leading a split. Hogan was trying to combine audiences of several local promotions, whereas Angle is trying to demonopolize the business, much like Steve Austin did during the Monday Night Wars.

Angle can be compared to several "flag-bearers" but I don't think Hogan is the one.

HELL NO not even a comparrison kurt angle has been there what like a year or 2? has he helped get tna off the ground and become a main show? hell no not even close the closest tna person who can be compared to hulk hogan is jeff jarret he made tna what it is today he is the biggest star of tna history within tht company dont even come close to comparing angle to hogan only jarrett cause angle has hardly done anything besides win a few championships

No need for this thread. There's already been one similar and there are plenty of Angle threads in general.
