At first sight, most new members of the WZCW roster take time to transition into the company but it seemed Dr. Zeus already had one goal before even taking his first step - to find out where the Steven Kurtesy has been hiding. Unfortunately for his former confidant Sandy Deserts, she has become the target for Zeus' rampage that has terrorised the roster and will continue to be until she reveals the location of the former doctor. Although Sandy has been avoiding the answer to this question, she has nowhere else to run as Zeus finally get his match against her where Sandy has seemingly promised Zeus the answer should he be able to defeat her. Given his current undefeated streak and Sandy's few wins in WZCW, it is all but confirmed that Zeus will finally get to the bottom of his investigations.

Goodnight and Goodbye

Inside of the den of the Geigel household, Dorian is sitting, furiously studying a book and taking notes. This isn't an uncommon sight on Dorian's days off. Often, Dorian would sit as uncomfortably as an easy chair would allow, reading different articles about medicine, and what different studies were occurring across the world. After all, this was what the world expected of Dorian; he was the wunderkind of psychology, and nowhere was that more abundant than at the doctor's convention he just returned home from. After giving his presentation about the wonder drug he'd been working on, hundreds of doctors lined the block, to pick the young doctor's mind, offering cards with phone numbers. But the only card Dorian had kept was Dr. Kurtesy's. His passion for medicine intrigued Dorian the most, and he could imagine that, right now, Dr. Kurtesy might be in his own den, reading books on medicine.

Normally, Dorian and Kurtesy would be exact mirrors, performing the same task. But Dorian wasn't reading about medicine tonight. Rather, he was reading a large book, titled, Urban Shaman. On his pad of paper, Dorian had written, "The only way to release a vengeful spirit is to salt and burn the body." Light reading, Dorian called it. It focused on the concept on Tulpa, or the creation of physical entities through thought. Dorian read three chapters now, after seeing a patient who described witnessing a demon in his sleep. What might have seemed like the idle ramblings of an addled mind became a little more credible when similar reports arose across Baltimore. The men involved would claim falling asleep at inopportune times, and in their dreams, the demon would persuade them to do unspeakable horrors. Sure enough, coworkers and family members spoke of these men falling asleep during conversations, and waking up with terrified faces. But that wasn't what convinced Dorian to study Tulpa; it was the conviction in his patient's words. Dorian had seen patients devolve into blubbering messes when he challenged their delusions, but this man stood firm. This man felt as if he had locked eyes with the devil himself, and by the end of the appointment, Dorian felt as if he knew the devil, as well.

And after all, with a little conviction, the craziest man in the world could be the sanest.

A soft knock on the wall broke Dorian's concentration, followed by a lilt as sweet as ambrosia. "Honey,"spoke up Dorian's gorgeous wife Ellie, "it's almost midnight. Aren't you coming to bed?"

Dorian broke his stare from his book, to look at his love. It was amazing to think that a woman could look as beautiful at 11:43 at night as she did at noon, but that was Ellie's gift to the world. She looked at her husband with soft amber eyes, more concerned than annoyed at having to tell Dorian to come to bed. These eyes glowed during pregnancy; Ellie was thirty weeks in at this point, and somehow she looked even more beautiful for it. Perhaps this was because Dorian could see his future family, with the woman he always dreamed of sharing it with.

Dorian so loved her, and knew it wasn't fair to keep her awake at such a late hour, but he considered this to be crucial to his work. Dorian offered a little smile to Ellie, and pleaded, "Soon, my dear? And after all, when has anyone that works at a hospital worried about late nights?"

Ellie smirked at her husband. "Funny," she replied, "I'd imagine anyone working at a hospital would try and get as much sleep as possible."

Dorian rose up from his chair, and walked over to his wife, taking her in his arms. With a sly grin, he shot back, "Oh, late nights aren't so bad. After all, I think you and I could think of a few ways to burn the midnight oil." He offered gentle, loving kisses to his wife, underneath the open doorway of the den.

Ellie giggled coyly, "I'm sure we could," sneaking in a kiss or two, before pulling away. "But it's like I said; I'd imagine anyone working in a hospital would try and get as much sleep as possible."Dorian grinned, before looking at his book. Ellie looked at the book, title revealed, laying on the coffee table in front of Dorian's easy chair Dorian."Urban Shaman, huh? It... It sounds like the name of a terribly awful rapper."

"It... It isn't. It's something for work." Answered Dorian. Ellie looked at him with a skeptical eye, as Dorian turned back to his wife, half hoping she wouldn't go any deeper. Usually, when Dorian said it was for work, Ellie would drop the situation. But this wasn't a usual occasion, and this didn't seem very scholarly.

"Are you sure, dear? I know undergrad was a long time ago, but I fail to remember Sigmund Freud theorizing on voodoo."

"I'm reading for a patient. It's just..." Ellie looked to Dorian quizzically. Dorian always knew he could trust Ellie with anything, but this had to be too ridiculous, even to ask her. "Ellie... Have you ever... Believed in something so much, it became real?"

The quizzical expression on Ellie's face didn't change a bit. She leaned on the wall for a second, looking down to collect her thoughts. After a moment of silence, Ellie softly began to speak. "I mean, in some ways, you could say it did. I believed in all of this, and it happened. It's not like I rubbed some lamp, but yeah, I believed all of this could happen. And, I believed in you." She stopped for a second, to kiss her husband, and looked him in the eyes. "and I'm pretty sure you're real."

"But what if I didn't exist?" Dorian blurted out, almost reactionary.

Ellie looked at her husband, really unsure where this was going. "But, sweetie, you do exist. To me, you're.... Well, you." This satisfied Dorian, as his wife took him by the hand. "Can we go to bed now, dear?"Dorian and Ellie walked down the hallway, hand in hand, but made a stop. They stopped at an open doorway, equidistant from their room and the den. The room was colorful and bright, with little furniture but a warmth and comfort that automatically draws you close. This was the be the nursery for the baby, and Dorian and Ellie looked upon it with adoration. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"I'm sorry, could you speak up? This room is so loud, I could barely hear you."

"Shut up." Ellie swatted Dorian on the shoulder, more a love tap than anything else. It was extremely loud, but then again, Dorian asked for it. He left for the convention in Switzerland expecting to paint when he came back, but Ellie painted while he was gone, choosing to make the room as Seussian as possible. The only thing that Dorian got to decorate was a music box, that stood on a chiffarobe near the crib. He walked over to the music box, and began to turn it. A sweet lullaby began to rise from the box, as Dorian walked over to be beside his wife.

They smiled as the music played, and walked to their bedroom, as the music reverberated down the hallway. Ellie, dressed in an elegant nightgown, went to her armoire to take off her earrings. "You know, you're going to turn our child into a nerd with that song."

Dorian, brushing his teeth in the bathroom, spat out, "It's sweet. He'll fall asleep to it." Ellie shook her head in the mirror, as she examined herself closer. Dorian gargled, and clearly said, "Is it really any different from your box?"

"My box has sentimental value."

"Your box comes from a Disney movie."

Ellie started to wind up her music box, as Dorian slipped into bed. Ellie allowed it to play, as she turned off the lights, and crawled into bed, snuggling next to Dorian.

"Sleep well, handsome."

"Sweet dreams, gorgeous." Their code words. It was the first thing Dorian they said to each other when they fell asleep together for the first time. A night never went by where they didn't say it.

It's hard to believe that in fifteen hours, Ellie Geigel would die. And everything about Dorian would crumble at the seams.

Welcome, Dr. Zeus.

Leon Kensworth sat in his pew, surrounded by shadowy figures. He was torn between wanting to know who these wayward souls could be, and wanting to just get out of this abandoned church, as soon as possible. Nothing was really keeping him, save for the stare of the woman that led him to his seat. She had finished her hymn, and had sat behind Leon, watching his every move. Or in this case, non-move, because Leon wasn't sure what he had gotten himself into. He watched as Dr. Zeus climbed up to the altar, to speak to this sea of darkness. A sea, Leon noted, that he was now a part of. He watched as Zeus turned around to look at everyone, and zeroed his eyes on Leon.

"You're cute." A voice shot at Leon, from behind. Leon looked over his shoulder, to find this mysterious woman almost hanging on his shoulder. He opened his mouth to speak, before she interrupted, "Got any manners? This is a ceremony. Look up there." As Leon turned his head, Dr. Zeus breathed in, and began to speak.

"I'm glad you could all join me here today
To help send this nasty wasty away.
And a shame too; none of this had to be.
This falls on the shoulders of Kurtesy."

Dr. Zeus looks to Leon again, and points to the bags. Dr. Zeus looks.... Content, at the moment. He actually looks like he's putting a demon to rest.

Except, it isn't a demon; it's a human being.

"Kurtesy believed he could save this soul.
He made saving Sandy his life long goal.
Poor Steven Kurtesy just couldn't see,
she isn't like you, and isn't like me.
Steven's best laid schmes have led him astray.
Like all good intentions gang aft agley."

Dr. Zeus looked upon the crowd thoughtfully, curling his nose ruefully at some awful thought.

"Good intentions? My God, is that a lark.
Sandy's heart was filled with absolute dark.
Steven's thoughts, oh so noble and so grand.
Expose what he could never understand.
These swine can't be saved, they only destroy.
They spread their wicked on us, with pure joy.
That's why I was sent; to clean your mistakes.
Cause you had no clue how dire the stakes.
The world's gone to evil if Sandy lives.
We sink into anarchy like a sieve.
We'll all suffer from Sandy's many sins.
She's not where it ends; she's where it begins.

Dr. Zeus motions his hand over to Leon, telling him to rise. Leon pauses for a second, but rises out of his seat. Perhaps this could be his chance to run for the hills. Then again, perhaps not; the woman sitting behind him has risen, and is staring intently. "This is where you come to the altar. Try not to screw this up." Leon starts to saddle down the pew, noting that the woman is mirroring his every step. When he reaches the aisle, he pauses, trying to get his bearings, and not let his surroundings get the better of him.

"Won't you come down, and see what I have here?
For all you know, Sandy could be right here.

Dr. Zeus gestures towards the body bag, inviting Leon to come open it. Leon starts to fidget, looking nervous at what Zeus could have in this bodybag. What... Or who, could be occupying it. But if Zeus does have Sandy in here, then he has to help her. Leon cautiously walks up to the bodybag, and starts to pull on the zipper. Leon finally opens the bag, and jumps back, half expecting an arm or a leg to fall out.

What he got was absolutely unexpected. Pictures and cards of the WZCW roster fall at Leon's feet. Leon looks on in horror.

Dr. Zeus isn't after one member of the roster; he's after all of the roster. Pictures of the finest wrestlers the federation have to offer look up at Leon, almost pleading for his help. Leon picks up two pictures, and sees the face of men he's come to see everyday.

Leon looks down, and his feet are surrounded by pictures of Sandy Desserts. All of the pictures show a smile, except for one; a plaintiff Sandy, running from Dr. Zeus. Leon looks up, and sees that Dr. Zeus is in a rage, as he pounds on the podium with his fist, and speaks in a near shout.

"Kurtesy had a large mess when he left.
Shocking; in the ring, Steven's rather deft.
So when Steven left to go find his peace,
He left me with work that will never cease.
But I'll carry it out, since it's God's work,
To purge this hellhole of every last quirk.
So I found the biggest project ahead,
And filled poor Sandy with absolute dread.
Sandy's the monster that should never be.
You're locked in darkness, but I am the key.
And as I release you from Sandy's spell,
I'll unlock the door to send her to hell."

Dr. Zeus nearly collapses on the podium, before looking back again, relieved at having shared his plan to everyone. He regains his composure.

So, after this hymn, and on our accord.
We all go in peace, to serve the lord."

The woman walks past Leon, and to the podium, as her backup choir joins her, as they sing a "hymn".

"I feel her, I see her
The sun caught in raven hair
Is blazing in me out of all control"

Upon this, Dr. Zeus lights the bodybag on fire, as the hymn continues. Leon looks on in absolute amazement of what he is witnessing. Dr. Zeus, come Hell or high water, will have Sandy at Kingdom Come. As Leon backs away, he looks at Zeus' face, through the flames. Looking into Zeus' eyes, he finds the face of Sandy, burning in effigy. Dr. Zeus is just staring at the flames.... Absolutely content. Perfectly fine with this hymn soothing his soul.

"God have mercy on her
Kyrie Eleison
God have mercy on me
Kyrie Eleison
But she will be mine
Or she will burn."

"Darkness rules this night" says a soft female voice. "The brightest and fullest of moons cannot penetrate through the thick cloud cover, blanketing the stars from those seeking guidance from the heavens. Even the illuminating inventions created by man to alleviate this problem refuse to work; protesting as they are terrified of witnessing the terrors a night like this provides. The wind howls with a cold, heartless breeze that could tear through human flesh and contract muscles effortlessly, scaring those who fear that the sound may be something even more frightening than they can imagine. It is a night where parents are forced to check their offsprings' closets and the empty space between floor and bed, reassuring that no monsters are lurking in the shadows. It is a night that keeps innocent people awake in doubt, wanting ever so badly to fall asleep so their experience of such a night can pass. They call for someone to protect them from their nightmares, yearning for dreams to consume their minds... they beckon for the Sandman!"

Thunder can be heard throughout the background of a completely blackened room with only one small barred window allowing both light and air to pass into the room, despite how little of each there may be outside. However, there is another noise more audible than Mother Nature occurring, within the confines of the room. It is almost as if someone were clanging metal together, creating an eerie chime whilst footsteps echo as a backing track. A high-pitched whistling sound can be heard singing along to an unknown tune, working together with all the other sounds to create an orchestra.

"Mr. Sandman,"
(sings the soft female voice in a slow manner)

"I'm so alone"

* Clang * Clang * Clang * Clang *
(goes the clashing metal)

"Don't have nobody to call my own"

* Clang * Clang * Clang * Clang *

"Please turn on your magic beam
Mr. Sandman..."

* Clang *

"... Bring me a dream"

The high-pitched whistling continues once more but this time, at an exponentially slowing rate, eventually stopping with a single whistle as a person steps into what little light is available, revealing a female figure donning a light fabric (which acts as a hooded piece of clothing) holding a metal pipe in her hand. She drops the pipe, looking towards the ground as her hands grab the top of the hood, lifting it back as she cocks her head in the same direction, causing golden glitter to jump into the air and cautiously fluttering everywhere. She reveals her identity to be Sandy Deserts but her appearance is anything but normal as she raises her hands into the air, letting out a primal scream. Her long brown hair has become short, blonde and spiked, with the sides of her head shaved down to almost nothing accompanied by a black dye. Her cheeks are heavily coated with the same golden glitter which spouted into the air and darkened eyes as black mascara hides them from the light.

Sandy smiles as she slowly brings her head and hands back down, looking at the ground once more as she starts to chuckle incessantly, staring at her hands before clenching them.

"And just like that" Sandy soft speaks as she continues chuckling "the one and only TRUE Sandman has awoken from - supposedly - eternal slumber..."

The Sandman looks around the darkened room with her head still looking down. Slowly, she walks towards the edge of the room, holding out her arms as she feels the lifeless walls, sliding her fingers gently across them.

"Isn't it ironic that the rebirth of the Sandman takes place inside the same walls that hosted what should have been the death of the Sandman?" She poses. "It was within these walls that I was transformed into the one they call Sandy Deserts, treated with years of psychological therapy before being deemed fit to re-enter society as a functioning member once again. I was nothing but a distant memory thanks to the efforts of the acclaimed good doctor Steven Kurtesy. The connection that Sandy developed to the doctor kept me at bay but with his disappearance, it was only a matter of time before I would be unleashed again - in spite of the so-called caretakers such as Michelle Frost were supposed to take over the reigns of Kurtesy and keep Sandy's mind at ease - removing myself from this room: Cell Block 253 of the Freudian Wing inside the San Francisco 'Corrections Facility' commonly referred to as... my home. "

She pushes herself back from the walls, shaking her head and wagging her finger as she slowly paces around the small room.

"But... the credit for the Sandman's second coming shouldn't just belong to time itself. No, no, no... it seems that another force is at play who has forced and manipulated his way into the fold and in my radar. A man who is feared by many for his ability to simply bat an eyelid to jump inside one's psyche. A man who refers himself as the good doctor as well. A man who is similar to myself in so many ways, shielding his boring real-life identity with a new personality to suit his methods. A man they call... Dr. Zeus..."

She laughs at the mention of the name as the Sandman stops pacing.

"Ah yes, it sounds ridiculous to me as well, inducing me to pronounce his name as if he were a God: DOCTOR ZEUS!" Sandy bellows out in a deep voice with her arms outstretched. "A name when screamed to the heavens instils fear and showcases ultimate power, sounding like an unstoppable force who has a superior intellect over everyone, looking to reign supreme over everything as he attempts to make the world see through his eyes, creating his own perfect world. A God-like creature able to read the minds of the weak and punish them as he sees fit, smiting them with intelligence and intensity. But that's all it is - a mere name. Whilst clever in design, the man behind the name Dr. Zeus - Dorian Geigel - has accomplished NOTHING!"

'Sandy' slams her fist into the wall as she yells out the last word of the sentence.

"Those who are filled with nightmares haunting their existence take one simple look at the man who masquerades as Dr. Zeus and envision chaos, twisting their own minds and reality all because his name invites it. He has done nothing important other than narrate his own fictional story to continue the web of lies and deceit his name has created to fulfil his needs. I've seen men like Thrash change and contort themselves into a shell of their former selves from interacting with Zeus. Thrash and many others have been ambushed and assaulted unnecessarily a million times before yet when Zeus is the man orchestrating the chaos, the psychological affects enhance tenfold."

'Sandy' bends down and picks up the pipe she dropped before, using her cheek and fingers to caress the pipe, rubbing off old rust in the process. The look on her face indicates as if she is almost enjoying the sensation of the rough surface.

"People seem to forget that those who hide behind names and labels like Dr. Zeus are as human as any one of us. They all have their own worries and nightmares, having difficulties coping day-by-day yet they put themselves on a pedestal and rule the food chain. Dorian Geigel was nothing but an aspiring doctor, seeking for the approval of famed doctors including Steven Kurtesy... one approval that tormented him for years. I remember vividly, the first time that Dorian saw his idol up-close and in-person: another day I spent wasting away inside this cell of mine and being used as an experiment to further the research of understanding the psychology of athletes. I saw a younger and ambitious Geigel, looking up to Kurtesy as I sat behind a transparent mirror, wrapped inside a strait-jacket as I was being gawked at by other promising psych students alongside Dorian... but I remember him, excited and eager to hear the wisdom of Kurtesy. The look he had in his eyes was of disbelief, not willing to accept that he had been selected to see Kurtesy in action, until question time rolled around. Just like Dorian, the other students wanted to impress Kurtesy and answer his questions. Those who got them right were elated whilst those who answered incorrectly felt shame; one of them being Dorian. A look of horror as Kurtesy shook his head and explained why Dorian was wrong, a look that stayed with Dorian until the tour went to the next patient along and disappeared from my sight. I saw Dorian at his weakest and he was no different to any human. Just because he simply changes his name he becomes almost immortal and untouchable? LIES!

'Sandy' throws her pipe across the room, making a loud clanging sound in the process.

Every man can be defeated and it only takes one person to stand up to the face of evil such as Dr. Zeus and personify him again. As Steven Kurtesy stood up to the vicious Ty Burna, I too will stand up against the man they call Zeus and be his immovable object. I will ascend to the heavens, climb atop the Mountain of Olympus and I shall challenge you Zeus as the one they call Morpheus, sending you deep within the recesses of the underworld where you shall rot for all eternity because...

... DORIAN GEIGEL IS NO GOD!

Your reign of terror will end before it will truly begin Zeus and the nightmares and chaos that you encourage will join you in the abyss as the dreams of the people will be restored! Darkness may rule this night, the next and forever after but at least there will be someone like the Sandman to protect the dreams of the defenseless and keep the nightmares at bay. I am not bothered with how long it takes to achieve such a dream but make no mistake Zeus, I will personally make sure that the demise of your name and the fear it brings along with it will go smoothly and your Kingdom you reign atop your own personal Olympus will perish as the world says goodbye and goodnight to Dr. Zeus."

'Sandy' begins laughing out loud before reaching into her pocket, pulling out her pouch and reaching within, throwing sand into the air before pulling out a second batch, blowing it forward to create a smokescreen. When the "dust" settles, the room is empty yet the voice of 'Sandy' laughing still echoes throughout.
