On August 8, 2008, wrestling journalist Georgiann Makropoulos reported that Walter "Killer" Kowalski had suffered a major heart attack and that doctors did not expect him to make it through the night. On August 9, 2008, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has reported that he was taken off life support and was unresponsive. Kowalski passed away earlier this evening. (1926 - 2008)

Wrestlezone would like to offer Kowalski's family and friends our most sincere condolences.

Can't say I know much about him, he was way before my time. He did help train some current wrestlers and paved the way for more, and that shouldn't be ignored.

Friggin beat me to it. He was a killer heel back in his day...a WWF hall of famer...former WWWF tag champ with both Gorilla Monsoon and Big John Studd...for NWA Calgary Canadian Champ.

Can't say I know much about Kowalski, but anyone who passes away, and especially with his resume, deserve your respects. Peace brother.

Should put some information about him in here so younger fans know more about him.

The man who trained triple H, Chyna and loads more. Again before our time and aside from that little nugget I don't know much about him. RIP Killer Kowalski. For a wrestler he lived a hell of a long life which is good. A sad day for wrestling but thankgod the guy got to live for so long outside of his ring days.
