Kelly Kelly attacks Vickie: Drew to feud with Dolph and turn face?

I was gonna start a thread about this.

When Kelly came out and attacked Vicky, I was happy to see Vicky get beat up but at the same time, I was like WTH?

Why would Kelly attack Vicky?

Doesn't this make her look hypocritical after all her whining about McEntire using excessive force?

I was shocked to see it too, at first I thought it was SABLE!! Haha.

Im not sure about this or where they are planning on going because recently I have been getting the feeling that Kelly Kelly is getting a bit of a darkside to her, I was waiting for her to turn MEGA BITCH. But now this.

Itll be interesting to see what happens on Smackdoown coz Vickie will be pissed!

Maybe she has a thing for Dolph?

Seems like the route WWE is trying to go here is Drew's aggressiveness rubbing off on to Kelly Kelly...first it was the jumping of Lay-Cool on Smackdown, and now this.

If they're going to follow through with turning Drew face, what better way to do it then by pitting him against a wrestler managed by the person who garners more heat than anyone in the business?

I can see how that would make sense but why Vickie??

What stake did Kelly have in that match? Absolutely none.

This is what is confusing me.

Kelly Kelly interfering in Edge's match was pretty random to say the least. But I think that this could lead to Drew siding with Vickie Guerrero and Dolph turning face. I think this could lead to a situation where Vickie takes a fancy for Drew and Drew betraying Kelly Kelly in order to align with Vickie and advance his career. That would lead to Dolph getting betrayed by Vickie and turning face in order to get revenge.

I think that this is a better scenario because I feel that Dolph has gone as far as he possibly could have as a heel. He has a good and an exciting moveset and getting betrayed by Vickie will ensure that Dolph gets a good pop whenever he comes out to oppose Vickie. Drew's career, on the other hand, is stagnating at the moment and a run as Vickie's boy toy will certainly help him get over. As a face, I don't think that he will be able to sustain his overness once his feud with Dolph and Vickie finishes.

Why Kelly is what I wonder too. I think Kaitlyn would have been a better choice since her Dolph and Vickie have a past. I think it would be legit to see Drew just become a mad psycho heel and attack Edge during the match then attack Dolph as well.

The 'where's kaitlyn' sign summed it up for me, perhaps she was originally booked to be the attacker but wwe backed out last minute as she isn't well known enough yet?

Why would Kelly attack Vicky?

Why, indeed? That's the kind of thing that's kept us guessing throughout the Kelly/Drew program. All along, I've presumed that involvement with Kelly was going to culminate in Drew turning face. But this incident expands the possibilities; maybe Kelly's involvement with psycho Drew will turn her heel.

Then, the idea of attacking Vicki offers two paths to ponder: (1) How could anyone who attacks the evil Vicki be anything but a face? (2) Or, if Kelly attacked Vicki to become more like Drew, maybe that's her ticket to "heeldom"....and an alliance with Drew.

Last Friday, when Drew won his match without unnecessary violence, Kelly climbed into the ring, presumably to talk to him, but he stalked off with his back turned to her. I thought the writers were calling off the whole program between the two, indicating that Drew had decided Kelly wasn't worth dealing with.

But now there's the match Friday night with Kelly and Edge teaming. The announcement of the match revealed no involvement for Drew. If he stays away, I would guess the Kelly/Drew program has ended. But if he interferes, it opens up a bunch of new vistas for a Kelly and Drew team.......but we don't know whether they'd be heel or face.

I find it interesting to read people on this forum saying that WWE's storylines are terrible and that nothing new has been offered. This Kelly/Drew thing is a good example of how Creative has kept us guessing; always coming up with something new to think about. I think it's great.

I quite like how the end of that match played out with kelly looking all dejected, and that kick-ass ropes flip that drew did to get out of the ring, i thought it's one of the only segments I've ever seen that just went flawlessly, even drew's future shock ddt had that awesome swing to it and it looked so much better than usual.
In fact I think that match itself made me a fan of mcintyre as i'm just dying to see what happens next for him

This could be an avenue for Drew to turn face. There's enough midcard heels as it is and another midcard face would be a great addition. Drew has been more intense and vocal in and out of the ring lately and I've always thought he would make a better face than heel. I'm curious to see where this goes and this could be the push that McIntyre needs.

I agree with BGC. SD is in need of more faces and I think Drew would be perfect for that. From what I've seen from him in FCW, Drew really plays a face better than he does a heel. He just doesn't seem natural as a heel. I think a Drew/Dolph fued could be great for SD and this could be one of the better matches at Mania if it happens. I look forward to seeing how this story progresses.

Like most if not all of you, Kelly Kelly attacking Vickie made me say" What in the blue hell???"
I have really come to be intrigued with this Kelly and Drew storyline. But I just didn't understand why she attacked Vickie. I know wrestling's written a head, ( I will not say fake, that is in a sense false) But Drew is not in any way connected with Dolph or Vickie. When divas or superstars are put in multiple storylines, things go ugly.
But I am definitely tuning into Smackdown tomorrow as always, but I can't wait to see what will happen. ( I saw the non spoiler match card so i kind of do)

When Kelly did the run-in at the Rumble I was a surprised as anyone, although it wont be overly hard for her to explain away as her just being sick of Vickie's actions and wanting to stand up to her, it's basic face stuff.

The moment it was over I suspected a McIntryre/Kelly vs Ziggler/Vickie program may be in the works, probably culminating in a mixed tag at Mania which is a total waste of Dolph IMO. I know Ziggler will make McIntryre look good and Vickie's heat will make him a face, but long term I just don't see him as a face given his lack of charisma.

Soooo.

I watched SD tonight and nothing happened involving Drew and Kelly.

Instead Kelly come out and talks about how Vicky had been going through her personal items. I was like "HUH?"

Then Drew come out and has a qualifying match against Kofi and it was much ado about nothing. Just had Del Rio interrupting. Nothing to do with Kelly.

So we now have a hole.

I don't mean to be impatient but why does WWE create these holes?

So now what?

I really hope they don't just up and abandon this. If I'm not mistaken, there's suppose to be a title match next week between Dolph and Edge. Perfect opportunity for McIntyre to interfere on behalf of Kelly Kelly to try to win her over.

I always hated McIntyre, but with this story with him and Kelly Kelly, I've actually found myself to be intrigued. I hope they don't fuck this up. For the first time in his career, he could actually be relevant.

They Should But The Intercontinental Championship On Dolph And Have Him Face Drew At Mania This Would Be A Great Intercontinental Championship Match And Have Drew Turn Face With Kelly kelly re hired on drews corner and vickie on dolphs corner

Kelly being involved with Drew is making him look very tweenish as of late. The crowd is even starting to cheer him. Drew's character could very well work as a face. I've heard stories that he was a fantastic face, but I don't know if it could work. What I DO know is that it's worth a try. Smackdown is now in desperate need of top faces. The youth movement is doing great for the heels, but no faces are part of it. If the crowd is starting to cheer him, I don't see why you can't test the waters. Smackdown's over run with heels anyway, and Mcintyre isn't going to get ANYWHERE if he stays one.

THeir characters don't need to interact in order to further the storyline...plenty happened to make it progress actualy:

1) Kelly Kelly's aggressiveness continued
2) Announcers continuous references to Drew's mindset not being in the right place due to Kelly's distractions during his match with Kofi (if the storyline was dropped, I don't see them bringing this up that often...remember the Kane/Kelly storyline that was dropped out of the blue?)
3) Kelly using Drew as a comparison to Edge
4) Kelly getting fired

Yes, that's a good analysis of the situation and I hope it's correct because I would hate to see them end the Drew/Kelly program prematurely. I had been thinking they abandoned it because they preferred having Kelly get involved with the Edge/Vickie thing. Yet....what for? Couldn't they have found another diva to do it? There are a bunch of gals waiting around for something to do; why couldn't one of them take the Edge/Vickie program?

But if Drew is to be involved in the Edge angle, this could wind up being one of the most intricate storylines ever created by the writers. There are a lot of directions to take it, and paramount in the storyline is which way they turn Drew with it.

After watching Smackdown! last night I have to agree that I think this will ultimately end up with Drew and Kelly together. The only question is, in what capacity?

I think the key thing is the Kelly has been more aggressive lately and also that she brought up Drew when talking to Edge. Clearly he is still on her mind.

Now, does he turn face, or does Kelly turn heel? I think the heat they would get, considering Drew "corrupted" the sweetheart of the WWE would be tremendous if Kelly went heel. It would be easily explained as well, as Drew would have the "You have to look out for yourself, and nice people don't get ahead" mentality. Also, there is nothing preventing Drew from handing Vickie a letter from Mr. McMahon letting her know Kelly is not fired. I know they haven't used the "Chosen One" gimmick in ages for him, but he could play it off as playing his final card with Vince to get Kelly back in.

Last night on Smackdown, Vickie "fired" Kelly Kelly (she said she was fired from Smackdown which makes everything think she'll come back to RAW) but Kelly's name was removed from Smackdown and put in the 'WWE Alumni' category on WWE.com. That could mean that she's gone from the company for now or it's just to enhance the storyline.

It's obviously just for the storyline...there's no reason for her leave the company OR get moved to Raw when she's currently involved in one of the better storylines in the past several months.
