I like Stevie Richards who's nothing special in the ring but really great at the character aspect.

Do you have anyone like that (aside from Kane)?

Is HHH's "It's time to play the game" on par with "If ya smell..." the shattering glass, and Taker's gong as "iconic" wrestling entrance themes?

Hey, big fan of your question answering abilities.

My question is why did you start this thread? Moreso, what was the drive behind it, and has it lived up to this?

No. It's a level or two lower.

Thanks.

Another old school guy started one so I copied it. That was a year and a half ago. His lasted about three days. I didn't really have a drive for it.

What did the combination of Hogan and Andre have that Hogan and Flair didn't? Hogan and Flair were the biggest names in 1988 as they still were in 1992, right?

Hogan was falling fast and no one cared about Flair in the north.

As for Hogan vs. Andre, people don't really get how big of a deal Andre was to the WWF. Andre challenging Hogan would be like Undertaker walking up to Cena and saying Wrestlemania 29.

To go along with that, look at Andre. He's (kayfabe) 9 inches taller than Hogan and 200lbs heavier. Flair isn't physically intimidating at all. Hogan wasn't going to give up to the Figure Four so there was no real threat other than a cheating pin. As for Andre, there was a big physical threat because he was so big.

Another thing I think people overlook is the attachment you get by watching the same people in the same company. Let's say AJ Styles showed up on Raw. We'll know who he is, but there's no connection to him with the WWE guys. Yeah he was awesome in TNA and he's their golden boy, but a lot of that is because he's been there forever and his name means a lot there. If you take him out of TNA, a lot of the shine goes away. If you want an historical example, look at what happened when DDP came to WWF. No one really cared. The same was true of Flair vs. Hogan. We knew his name, but since we couldn't talk about what he had done and the fans hadn't seen what he had done (in theory), who cares? he was an NWA legend, not a WWF legend.

Your prediction for the Kane/Orton match at Extreme Rules. I thought their match at WM was completely boring, but I think their match at ER will be good.

What could've been done with Sting / NWO

1. if Starrcade 1997 worked like intended?
2. after Starrcade 1997?

€dit: What were the plans if it happened like they wanted?

I've never heard what was goign to happen next. What I would have done is have Hogan leave unti like June and come back in the red and yellow while Sting decimates the remaining members one by one.
