Regarding the Cena movie thing, I think you're both forgetting the point Sly made, or maybe you never saw it in the first place. Cena starred in WWE movies at WWE's behest. He didn't walk into Vince's office and go, "Yo, Vince, Fox wants me to play Dutch in a Predator remake, so I'll see you in a few months." Rather, WWE decided to put their biggest star in the films in a bid to make them successful - plus Cena flew back and forth to be on Raw every week. It's also jumping the gun to assume that, if The Marine were the next Avatar, we wouldn't see Cena for dust.

I do have a question though. I was on another site and people were saying they were really enjoying Daniel Bryan's title reign. I told them they had just over seven more days to enjoy it and I was roundly condemned - nobody else thinks Sheamus is winning the belt at WrestleMania. If it were any night but WrestleMania, I'd say Bryan had good odds. Where do you come down on it?

Hey KB, have you watched NXT lately?

It's good.

They practically did what I had hoped, and that's essentially drop the whole competition aspect and just let it operate as its own brand, though it's still technically "NXT Redemption." I just watched this week's episode and it had some solid wrestling, the best wrestling in WWE all week (though with Kane, Big Show, Mark Henry and Khali all in action on SmackDown, that's not hard) and some funny backstage segments. Derrick Bateman in particular has some serious acting chops. He comes off almost like a cheesy sitcom character, but it works really well. Seriously, this show's good now and I wish I had picked up on it sooner.

I've dealt with the same kind of people. They refuse to allow the possibility that Bryan losing is a good idea. Sheamus has been built up as this face monster since around Summerslam. I don't think he's lost a clean match since then. If he loses, it's back to square one with him. If he wins, Bryan has a few ways he can go. Also, I'd bet money these are the same people that complain that winning the Rumble means nothing anymore.

KB, can you go one further and give your full predictions for WM for all the matches? I'd be interested.

Cena
Taker
Sheamus
Punk
Kane (just a hunch)
Maria/Kelly
Team Johnny
Show

I think that's all of them.

I review it every week.

Yeah it's plausible, but again it's Nash, the guy that has at least twice claimed a heart attack to get out of a match he was guaranteed to be jobbing in.

Granted.

Have you ever had a moment where you were just depressed by the fact that you knew something about wrestling?

I was thinking more along the lines of "I recognised Dylan Klein in a video he was in for two seconds" levels of pathetic nerdiness, but Benoit is also a good shout.

Oh do you mean stuff like "why do I know that?" That happens on a daily basis, namely when I listed off the information for No Mercy 2004 without having to look it up.

I think one of the reasons why Punk/Jericho may not be living up to its potential is because they diverted the attention of the storyline from Jericho complaining that Punk stole his "best in the world" moniker (after all, that's what Y2J's return videos had been all about for months) in favor of focusing on Jericho picking on Punk's family. Do you agree?

I feel like they should have stayed on the path they were originally going. They had a lot of steam going with that and now don't even mention it anymore.

Partially that yeah. I guess simply arguing over who the ebst wrestler in the world, as signified by being WWE Champion, isn't interesting in Vince's mind anymore.
