I was thinking it during one of his promos. His quest was to remove Del Rio from being champion, not winning the championship. To have a foreign US champion would make sense Swagger would go after him but the heel/heel dynamic makes it suck.

I've wondered that from the beginning of the character. Every criticism he's had of Del Rio applies to the UNITED STATES champion but they've never even been on camera together I don't think.

While he hasn't had camera time with Cesaro, they did something similar on a Smackdown during the road to Mania. Swagger was backstage with Colter and Barrett stops them and begins to applaud them for what there doing with Del Rio. Colter thanks him but then notes how they also have an issue with Barrett because he is not American. Barrett in disbelief then steps up to Colter but Swagger steps in, probably said, "We the People" and they walked away with Barrett left shaking his head.

Of course nothing more came of it, but they can do something similar with Cesaro and he can easily turn face in the process working with Swagger and Colter.

Something NorCal said in the moron's thread got me thinking. He said that the last decade has probably been the one where more money had been made by the wrestling business (or WWE, at least) in its history. He's almost certainly right. Would you say that WWE is currently in a boom period?

Chances they did didn't have DZ cash in during WM29 so ADR could finish off Swagger (as he made him tap out again on Raw) and conclude their feud so Swagger could get buried or at least punished for his stupidity with the drugs?

No I mean. the costs have gone up and though people are earning more, the price ranges have just gone higher. Some economist could dismantle my assumption. Or Slyfox.

Question, what was Harley Race doing from 63 to 75? He has no match history in this period.

In a sense yeah. Just not the traditional one.

Isn't there more money everywhere?

How would you rate Brock's run as champ in 2002-04

Yeah, but it's spread out more.

As close to a disaster as you can get.

Good chance of it.

Last time I checked that global economic crisis makes the answer no by default. But then, I'm not interested in economics so that might be totally wrong.

There's more actual money floating around yeah, but there are a lot more people around now so it's less valuable by default. Also the distribution of wealth is getting more and more one sided. Translation: the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

He was world champion in 73. I'd assume you're wrong.

Watching various Shawn Michaels matches from the early part of his singles career one thing that's evident is how weird the situation was surrounding his finisher. He started with a side suplex and eventually moved onto sweet chin music. However I seemed as thogh they didn't have a name for it at first and thus didn't feel like a finisher for some time.

So I ask when did the they begin to refer to it as sweet chin music? Did this correspond to when the move became his finisher or did that occur earlier but just wasn't refered to by name? If that's the case when did that happen?

The Bi Lo Center in Greensville, SC - host of this Monday's WWE Raw - is advertising John Cena and Alberto Del Rio versus Ryback and the new World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler

If this is true, Ryback is totally a heel now, right?

It was just a kick when he was a heel. It was definitely called Sweet Chin Music by In Your House 2.

In theory but it's a bit too early to say.

Just finished watching WrestleMania IX and something I never picked up on before was the announcers saying that Luger attacked Bret earlier in the day knocking him out with his forearm. I don't remember this leaving to anything after Mania before Luger went from the Narcisist to his American gimmick.

Did WWF do anything with Hart and Luger following Mania IX as a result of Luger's attack? If not do you know of any plans that might have been in place but for one reason or another were scrapped?

If they did it was just on house shows. I never remember them having a televised match.

My best guess would be they were setting up Hogan vs. Hart and wanted to feed Luger to Hart to set that up. Hogan bailed though so the plans were scrapped.

Thoughts on greg Valentine

Very good but by the most famous time of his career he was way past his prime.

Well, Weed's not a drug so what are you speaking of?

Is the three stages of hell between Austin and HHH one of the 5 best matches ever in your opinion?

Has their ever been a worse creative decision than turning Austin heel at Mania x-7?

Ever? That's a bit too much. Top ten or fifteen though is acceptable.

Oh sure. David Arquette as world champion for one thing.

If you were forced, regardless if it were a good idea or not, to bring up someone from NXT as a new member of The Shield, who would it be?

Maybe Conor O'brian.

Randy Orton threw what was described as a “temper tantrum” backstage at WWE RAW regarding the crowd reactions from his bout with Sheamus on this week’s show. You could also clearly see by his facial expressions during the match that he wasn't happy. He’s also not happy about Ryback and Dolph Ziggler getting roles as prominent heels and is still pushing for a heel turn. The original plans called for him to turn on either The Big Show or Sheamus at WrestleMania 29 but that obviously didn't happen.

Thoughts on this?

I can't say I blame him on the crowd. Basically the crowd said "screw this, WE are the real entertainment here" after about 2 minutes of what was a decent match.

As for the heel turn stuff, he's definitely right on Ziggler. Orton has a proven track record as a top guy. ZIggler has proven that he can't maintain momentum without someone far more talented to walk him through a match.
