Just downloaded Photoshop and need help learning how to use it

I've read the tutorial Doc & Dave mmade in the Graphics section and I'm still confused as shit.

I was hoping someone could dumb it down for someone who has never used it before and feels like he's looking at Chinese writing

YT still might be easier to follow, instead of people telling you how, your're actually seeing it done.

As B.D. said youtube would probably be easier to follow. It helps when I see something done anyway.

If you're confused by normal tutorials, you'd do well to do video tutorials.

However, when I first got Photoshop a few weeks ago, the first tutorial I did was this: http://www.sigtutorials.com/tutorials/basics/halo-signature.html

It's so simple, you learn the basics such as layering and blurring, and you get a good looking graphic out of it.
