Jericho/Fan Altercation

I wonder if they are going to use this tomorrow on RAW, with Ric Flair coming back to respond to Jericho. However I do have problem with Jericho hitting a girl if he indeed did. It is unclear by the video whether it was a girl or a guy but the majority seem to think it was a female. But at this point it doesn't matter; I don't condone any guy hitting a girl but self defense is self defense. The security was inadequate and shouldn't have allowed for that to take place in the first place. Jericho was being stand up by posing for pictures even though he is a heel. The fan shouldn't have done what the fan did and Jericho responded. I also feel that this takes you back to Jericho hitting Shawn's wife (a girl) by accident. The WWE could either 1 use this to further Jericho's heel character, or 2 it was an angle to beging with. I'm sure Jericho will say something relating to this incident. If he doesn't then you can safely say the sittuatuion was legit. But once again, Jericho had no choice, the crazed fan attacked and got it right back. In response to Johny B, he didn't lock his door because he was already out of his SUV to pose for pics. And also as I already said before I don't condone a man hitting a woman but (I know this is a bit of a stretch) if a woman came from an inch to ending your life and the only way to protect it was hitting her, would you do it, or would you let your life be endangered?

Jericho was completely in the right as it is a given that he may defend himself when needed.

The fans started heckling him, and not just with words but with physicality. Jericho showed more restraint than I could have mustered.

And just on a personal note I found this to be hilarious as hell lol. Jericho beat up on how many people including security guards? Seriously that is just bad ass.

I love Chris Jericho......he's seriously my hero, and after watching that I love him even more. That woman cleary deserved what she got, and all the other idiots he beat up deserved it too. What did they expect trying to pick a fight with a wrester? The only bad thing that's going to come from this is the media id probably going to try to massacare the WWE again. But I think the WWE has already established that they dont give a shit what the media says.

Ok I am not a Jericho fan and havent been for a long time, but that is beside the point. I always said if people are in the public eye they have to expect stupid stuff like this. Unfortunately there are people like that lady, but I definately agree with Jericho on this one. That lady was way out of line putting her hands on him not once but two or three times she deserved to get hit. Hopefully for Jericho he wont get sued by her or the other guy he pushed down.

The idiot should have seen it coming. Jericho got pushed against his car, you could just see something behind his face snapping and he just thought "ok, one more touch and i'll fuckin punch him"
Whether or not is a girl i guess is still yet to be confirmed...

But still, it is what most people would do in that sitution, Jericho was right.

On lighter note.... it was pretty funny :P

It doesn't matter if the fan was a girl or not. The fan deserved to get beat for touching him. You just don't do that. You don't provoke wrestlers and hurl obscenities at them thinking they won't do anything. Yeah, they're professionals, but they also have the rights to defend themselves physically. He wasn't the one that started the offence. I know a bunch of people are gonna be like "Oh my god! He hit a girl! He hit a girl!" So fuckin' what? She was a dummy. What did she expect after doing what she did? And what I find particularly funny about this is how only the part where he hit a girl is isolated for that direct controversy. How annoying.

it's a shame how these little girls want to say that Jericho was in the wrong. there's a saying...a female grows balls and steps to a man wanting to fight, then they get treated like a man. note to females, JUST DONT DO IT!!!!!

Jericho had the right to do what he did and shouldnt be punished or anything. fans take this way too serious.

Wow, so after viewing a couple youtube videos of what I assume was the altercation.. it looks like Jericho was merely stuck waiting to leave, when a female fan touched him, only to be pushed back by security, then literally grabbed him and seemingly tried to pull him around to her. Which warranted Jericho's action.

Anyone who believes Chris Jericho was in the wrong, I invite you to look at what happens to moronic fans who jump rails at football events, or attempt getting onto the court at Basketball events. Those fans get fucked the shit up! Why? Because you aren't suppose to put your hands on the talent or get near them.

She clearly touched him, and even seemingly had the attempt to cause him harm, by pulling on his shoulder, trying to spin him. Granted I doubt she meant to hurt him, but Jericho had every right to react the way he did.

Further viewing the video, it seems a male fan tried jumping into the issue, and got shoved on his ass by Jericho as well. I noticed someone (I think Jake) mentioning that he hopes the fan sues. Uhm.. why and how? Because she did what she wasn't suppose to do, as it states NOT to touch the Wrestlers?

He was still apparently on the grounds of the arena, seemingly trying to leave the back parking lot area.

And who gives a fuck if Jericho tells the live audience he'll take all of them on. It's scripted, it's a show. When you watch a movie about alien's attacking New York, do you rush the fuck outta the movies and try to find a news station that's picking up the broadcast of this destruction? Seriously.. how stupid can some people be?

It probably was an angle..I'm surprised that everyone just automatically believes that it was real. WWE does thngs like this sometimes to get heat. Usually they just have a planted fan in the audience to confront someone like Orton or Edge. So why not outside the arena?

I could see Jericho possibly using this to his advantage though, he is a heel suppose be a heel who hates the fans, this only will only add to the heel heat he gets, I could see him mentioning how he beats up fans and shit, that is unless WWE tells him not to mention it in hopes that it just goes away

Right..why do you think it happened the night before his angle with Flair?

If this was real, why would they report it? WWE always tries to cover up incidents like this. If this was real, then Jericho is going to have some legal trouble, at least until the people get paid off, since he attacked them first.

When Snuka killed a girl, do you think Vince reported it the next day? No, because he didn't want to give it any more media attention than it was already getting. But Vince wanted this to get media attention, which means it will probably be covered tomorrow on Raw.

So it's hard to tell from the video whether or not the person who went for him was a chick or not. It looked like it was, but whatever. It's irrelevant - Chris Jericho was completely in the right. I'm a little confused as to what happened - the fan pulled his door open, then he stopped, and got out for pictures? So first off, what kind of crazy fucker tries to open someone's car door, while they're driving? Secondly, it was kind of silly for Jericho to come out then, but it seems to me like he cares enough about the fans to come out and take pictures. So then he gets jumped by the same crazy fucker, and somehow, he's wrong for trying to knock their lights out? The hell with whether it's a chick or not - if you screw with someone, you deserve to get fucked up. Jericho had no idea what their intent was, and even if he was pissed off and threw the punch in anger, it was also in self defense. If he were to have gotten anyone else, that's security's fault for letting them get to close to them. Jericho probably threw the punch in both anger and self defense, and hopefully he got the bitch.

I really doubt it's an angle - listen to Jericho in the video. He's screaming and cursing, i.e., "Do your fucking job! Get this fucking bitch out here!". I mean, if they turn it into an angle, they'll need the video, and you can't have Jericho saying that even with it bleeped out on a PG show.

But all in all, Jericho was completely justified in what he did, the security was horrible, and the fan (and not just the one who jumped him, you could hear all the moron hecklers, "You're an insult to Canadians", and so forth), was completely out of line. Seriously, people - kayfabe died a long time ago, and you need to give it up.

Hell yes, this is exactly the best thing to make Jericho vs. Rourke happen at Mania. Chris Jerihco, the asshold scurge of society against an uberface Mickey Rourke.

Anyways, not a big deal. If you study the history of the business, this type of shit was pretty much a nightly occurance in the old days of wrestlign. Pick up a book and read about the old heels getting into knife fights with crazy fans after a show. This stuff used to be common place before society got all cute on us.

Bottomline, don't touch someone. You don't have any right to touch someone else, whether it be male or female. You put your hands on someone else, expect something in return.

Anyone who thinks jericho is wrong even in the 1% is not thinking straight. I don't think any of us are celebrities here so we wouldnt know what it is like to pretty much be in fear that at any time someone is going to attack you. He is a performer, and when he challenges 20,000 fans to a fight it is for the performance. Just because you know him does not mean he knows you. what would you do if a stranger on the street ran up on you trying to fight you????

and on a side note - thanks a freakin lot you idiot loser who attacked him because now all you are going to achive from this asshole move is that you will be dealing with legal problems of your own and when normal human beings who are fans want to meet wrestlers it will be alot harder to approach them without them thinking that anyone else would do the same thing.

i definitely think even though jericho threw a punch that he did nothing wrong because if i was a wwe superstar i wouldn't want to deal with that either. honestly i think that girl deserved it for being an asshole about it

From World Wrestling Entertainment:

“After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho’s car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Chris Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Mr. Jericho. Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Mr. Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later. Mr. Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The WWE is working with local authorities who are investigating the incident to identify the man and woman who fled the scene.”

So it seems that Vince has Jericho's back on this one, and thank god. After seeing both the video's today I can see why he would lose his mind. I have been a bouncer for clubs before I went to university and I know how it feels to be in a comprimising situation and cornered by rowdy people (drunk or not). It is a very tense feeling and sometimes rational thinking has to be put aside and self defense takes over. If I was in the same situation I would have probably done the exact same thing. I really feel for Chris in this situation and it will probably force him to be much more secluded from now on when dealing with fans, which is a shame.

Let me preface this with I have never been a huge fan of Chris Jericho.

After viewing this video, as a cop, I can tell you Jericho did nothing wrong. He's the one who could and should press charges. Jericho simply reacted to someone attacking him. Yes, it was a woman, but that doesn't matter. Just because she's a woman does not mean he has to stand there and take her physical assault. I've seen some people suggest he could have just run away or driven off. Not really. He was trapped. There was nowhere for him to run, and he shouldn't have to run away. He was getting into the car to leave when the female assaulted him again. He was pretty much trapped like a rat the second time she came up to him. That's when he shoved her away. Yes, he is a lot bigger than her. So what. He doesn't have to let someone assault him because they are smaller. He used just enough force to get her off of him. He could have used a lot more, but he didn't. He showed restraint. In the real world, there are no Jedi Mind Tricks or Vulcan Neck Pinches to get people to do exactly what you want them to do. Jericho used just enough force to end the attack on him, which is what he is legally entitled to do in any state or country. Now, if he had continued to assault her, that would be another story.

The female fan started it. Jericho tried to get away, he couldn't. The female fan continued her assault. Jericho used just enough force on her to end her attack on him. He didn't assault her. He didn't beat her ass. He showed restraint.

I hope he presses charges against the fan and her punk boyfriend.

who cares if it's a girl or a guy? Who cares if it's a work or a shoot? I really hope we get better footage, cuz if this account in which Jericho beats up about 5 guys and 1 girl all at the same time is true, well, fuck me, that's awesome. All I've seen is him throwing one right. It's an evil-looking right, but I WANT MORE!

Jericho fans, celebrate. The Sexy Beast really does have that badass edge to him we always thought might be there.

GO JERICHO GO,GO JERICHO GO,GO JERICHO GO

That girl had it coming shes lucky she didnt get a codebreaker for her troubles lol.

First I think this could be a work. But lets say for fun its not.

Jericho
a) should of not got out of the car...Period. And if he made a bad decision of getting out he should of got in the second it got physical. And I do hope he got out to take pics and sign autographs and not try to start shit with the morons banging on his car. Im from detroit and when someone bangs on your window you speed up.

b) Never put your hands on a fan. The first push (maybe) just for self defence but when the security guard had the guy in the black leather jacket on the ground He should of never layed a hand on him.

Now WWE is set up for a HUGE lawsuit and he could get suspended.
