Jay Briscoe vs Matt Hardy ROH strap

Otacon

Dark Match Winner
First off I just want to say I recently relocated from SC to NC and a local station here in NC plays ROH for an hour on Saturdays.

You can't deny that Matt Hardy knows the business, knows how to work a crowd, and work in the ring. With that being said, I dont like to judge, but man he looks out of shape.
Jay Briscoe can work in ring. I'm very impressed by both brothers. Now I see why the dirt sheets talk about them coming to WWE.
They put on a great match none the less but this match compelled me to post and get some opinions.

What do you cats think?
What is the future for the Briscoes?
What is Matt Hardy's future?
and
How do you think this feud will play out?

Watched tonight's episode earlier as well, and you're right. Matt has put the poundage back on. It looked like he had lost some a while back. But his gut damn near looks like mine. The match was cool though. As far as the Briscoes go, they're pretty good, but idk how they will fare in WWE. Time will tell.

Good way to send them off and get them off TV for a while not to crazy about them going to the WWE think they would fair better in TNA not only in the tag team division but character wise they wouldn't be watered down or stuck with a stupid gimmick.

I genuinely do feel bad for Matt Hardy. It's gotta' be hard for him, a man once heralded as "the better Hardy" to finally come to this. And I don't mean wrestling for ROH, hell he's lucky he's getting that kind of national exposure, but to be in the shape he's in and how he seems to have gone completely batshit insane for no good reason other than it seemed to "get Jeff over."

That being said, I'm still a mark for Hardy because I still fondly remember the "Matt Hardy WILL NOT DIE" schtick from 2005 (-is) and how he blurred the lines long before CM Punk was dropping pipe bombs and breaking the fourth wall. That and Matt Hardy Version 1 was hilarious, who else remembers "Matt Facts?"

So getting him exposure like this could only be a good thing, I'd personally like to see him stay in ROH in a main-event role, he's a reliable worker, solid on the mic and if he stays sober and can get himself in shape he can be a huge asset just because he knows how to work the fans and work social media.

The Briscoes though...I can't see them faring well in WWE. They are fantastic in the ring and I've always been entertained by them, they can work with anyone. But their style, their look...It just doesn't fit. Hopefully they'll get a decent tag run thanks to Team Hell NO! Rebuilding the credibility of the Tag Divison but I can't see them going further than that.
