So on Impact James Mitchell (Sinister minister) made the announcement that he has a new project to replace Abyss...

Any ideas...?

Is it going to be someone on the roster already...? or has TNA pulled a fast one and wrangled big show in as a new monster....i dont know....probably not Big show, but anyone got any ideas...? cos i am at a loss.

Well, recently we heard that TNA signed former superstar and world champ of Wrestling Society X "The Dark Prophet" Ricky Banderas. It would be logical that he'd align himself with Mitchell and possibly feud with Abyss. Mitchell tends to go with the bruisers and Banderas can certainly be that. So I'm saying it's Ricky Banderas.

The article was up on Wrestlezone a while back. They signed him. Now if only they'd sign Jack Evans or Matt Sydell. Those two have amazing skill. But yeah, The Monster Abyss vs The Dark Prophet Ricky Banderas with James Mitchell. I can definitely see that happening.

Whats banderas like in ring? I saw a bit of him in WSX but i found WSX to be unwatchable, so i didnt really catch that much of him. I tried searching his name on U-Toob but nothing really came up.

Matt sydal and Jack evans... I hear that...although the chances of ROH letting them go with there new PPV deal.

Yeah. I mean come on, Jack Evans' high flying puts some of the X-Division to shame. A 630 splash, doesn't get cooler than that.

Back to the subject at hand though, first off the best way to watch WSX is to mute it because the Play By Play is painful to listen to.

Now as far as Banderas, they had only one actual match with him in it and it was against Vampiro. Both were in my opinion, kicking the crap out of each other. The match included Vampiro getting powerbombed by Banderas through a table that had fluorescent bulbs on top of it. Any guy that will do that to an opponent has my undivided attention. Not to mention the guy looks so creepy with his face and the eyes, it makes Kane look like a babe magnet.

As far as the rivalry happening, Banderas is not exactly a small guy and he can dish out punishment pretty good. So I'd imagine a fight between Banderas and Abyss to be similar to two trains colliding; brutal. And off topic, let's face it. They need more heel bruisers and Banderas can help in that area. And while there are some, I mean good ones. Tomko's got potential but Steiner sucks so much in the ring now that he makes John Cena look like Ricky Steamboat. And Abyss with the face turn, that counts him out. So all in all, Abyss vs Banderas I could imagine as one of the most brutal and bloody rivalries that Abyss has been in since the war between him and Raven.

Abyss vs Banderas would be awesome. I used to watch Banderas during his IWA Puerto Rico days and he was absolutely insane. I remember seeing him once powerbomb an opponent from the balcony of a gym thru a table, and the guy missed the table and bounced his head off the floor. So yeah, Bandares's sick ass would be perfect to feud with abyss

WSX wasn't unwatchable imo. They reminded of old ECW's hardcore division. They just had low production value's and not the best of announcers. Ricky Banderas isnt that impressive. He is more of a brawler than a good technical or high flying wrestler. I think him and Abyss can have good matches if he is the guy that is being brought in. If TNA can make him more Abyss like in the ring than he wouldn't be that bad in TNA. I was thinking that they eventually have an angle where Banderas and Abyss become a tag team since they have a similar style of wrestling.

Never said that Banderas was a god-like wrestler. But for this case, a rivalry between him and Abyss would be perfect. both are brawlers and both can do some pretty sick stuff hardcore wrestling wise. Expect a lot of blood and violence when these guys collide.

what made WSX unwatchable IMO was the phoned in crowd noises, and the fact that the crowd looked a little too pretty and perfect, they all seemed like they walked off the TRL set and onto the WSX set. The in ring was good and i think if i rewatch any of it ill just mute it like EXTREMERAGE81 suggested.

Looking forward to seeing banderas debut if it is infact him...probably is now i think about it.

And i know i know this is probably the least likely thing to happen ever, what if TNA had pulled a proper fast one and got big show on board...

Honestly I think it's possible we could see a debuting Big Show in TNA. Sounds like something he'd do, and who is more of a monster then the Big Show aih? There's a bunch of reports saying he wanted longer time off, but now that he's back in shape and has already wrestled Hogan last week, could he be ready to return already? I have the feeling if Hogan got into his ear (which he would since Show looks up to Hogan as god allmighty)and told him to go to TNA to get revenge on Vince for not letting Lawler work the show, he'd be down for it.

Just an idea. Could be Banderas though.

Anyway you look at it either if its Banderas or Paul Wright this person will get a short push and the Abyss will destroy them. If they are going to push Abyss as a top face he will need to destroy Mitchell's new guy. Though if its Wright theres no way that he will get a push that will end quickly.

Is it me or does them seem to remind you of Kane and Taker with Paul Bearer. Now i'm notstarting a WWE vs TNA thing but seems like that kind of storyline that is going to be devloped.

It's similar, your right but just Kane which is represented by the guy comming in who is rumored to be Ricky Banderas and Undertaker who is represented by Abyss aren't brothers and of course Jim Mitchel is like Paul Bearer in this angle/storyline. Either way the storyline could be juicy no matter who it is but I think the matches will be a let down but then again I could be wrong.

Wouldnt the obvious choice be on Mitchell being the "guy behind" Christopher Daniels heel turn? Didn't we read that here a while back as a possible story. Though personally I think it would be good if it's a new guy.

Okay first off. I too don't like the heel turn for Christopher Daniels. There was nothing wrong with his gimmick to begin with. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And impact this past week, the whole thing with Daniels makes no sense to me.

Second, I love the idea of Vampiro coming in, but it's not going to happen. He said to be done wrestling in america. I have no problem with Banderas vs Abyss. The only problem with Paul Wight/Big Show is that I don't want a guy bigger than Abyss. As far as I'm concerned, we should have only Abyss as the giant in TNA. Nobody else.

I do believe it may be Ricky Banderas. It probably will be, but I have thought of someone else other than Paul Wight. Maybe Raven. Raven hasn't had a good feud in TNA since Abyss, and it would be a good way to rebuild both of those two as monsters. Serotonin may also get involved in some way. Banderas is the most logical person, though.

They should bring in Big SLow in TNA to feud with Abyss and there's already talks about that and bring in CHris Jericho to feud with Sting I mean they can even bring in VAMPIRO vs STING and it would help a lot in the feuds hell bring in Abdullah the Butcher vs STING it means ratings!!!
