Hey guys, in yesterday's episode of Monday Night Raw, Jack Swagger left, and before he left AJ Lee high and dry he said that he needs time off, my question is: Does he need to take time to reinvent himself (angle wise of course), could he be on his way to a face turn, or is this one of those things that the WWE is wonderfull for, and it's a way for him to be released, what are your thoughts??

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw this man. I hope he does reinvent himself, because I'm probably in the minority when I say that Jack Swagger has potential.
He doesn't have to do a whole character change, maybe give him a manager, and please stop acting like he is the second coming of Kurt Angle. Jack Swagger needs a personality. He said he knows he's better than "this", and I know he is too. So I'm just gonna hope that if/when Jack Swagger returns it will be better than this run.

Firstly I don't think you are in the minority thinking that Swagger has potential because I believe a lot of people here feel that way.
But on the topic. No I don't think he is done he is just going to reinvent himself and then come back. They don't tend to constently mention a losing streak if someone is just going to be fired after getting beaten by the WHC.
Swagger will be back in a short time and will start winning matches and I can't wait for it he is superb in the ring and isn't bad on the mic either.

I think Jack Swagger has too much potential at this point to be relased, honestly they are realizing that this gimmick that he has now, whatever that gimmick even is I'm not even sure, is not working and they are going to do some kind of revamp with his character and hopefully he will get over with the crowd either as a face or a maybe even start a tag team? I think him and A-Ry could be good together as they both kind of have that same attitude and seem kind of the athletic type that could be a good face team to bring up through the ranks that have two young guys that have had spot light but hasn't really done anything to their full potential.

I've been saying this for a while now, he needs to recapture his ECW persona. He was a great cocky heel. I'm hoping the rumor of him and Big Johnny teaming up is true. I think Swagger's old persona would be great in conjunction with people power. If Swagger can go back to that cocky persona, ditch the hair cut, and get a new finisher, he can go places.

I recall in Jericho's WCW days he went through a losing streak. He'd have tantrums every week when he loss and eventuality he got over with the crowd and started winning. That could be an avenue they take with Swagger. Personally think his character would be a good look for the dead US title scene.

I really want Jack in with Heyman. Jack, Punk, Brock, and the Dudleys would be one heckuva group. Call it "the Deadly Alliance" or "DA" as a nostalgia callback.
I've liked Swagger since his debut. I really wish they'd booked him as a strong US champ instead of putting the belt on the guy with the sock puppet.

Swagger definetely needs to be repackaged. He is one of the best WRESTLERS that WWE has and a great inring performer. I feel that he needs to be back at that spot when he was the WHC. A Swagger face turn is highly unlikely. I'm not so sure that WWE need him as a face. I am all for a dominant Swagger again or maybe even when he gets back on course with winnig, will be a good candidate to fued with Ryback or maybe even Daniel Bryan. Change his look and his persona completely, almost start from scratch. Fact is that his All American American is truly All Around Stale. Please don't turn another gifted performer into a superstars jobber aka Drew McIntyre.

Swagger needs a manager..Harvey Whippleman would be a great choice for Swagger if he ever chose to come back...Also, he should get rid of the Ankle Lock..Go back to the Doctor Bomb..Another thing he should do is constantly use his amateur wrestling skills during his matches...He should use various old school "hooking" submission holds that Lou Thesz and Frank Gotch used..Along with getting new theme music, Swagger should focus on the US Title and bringing attention/prestige back to it because the belt has been in the hands of foreigners such as Santino and Castagnoli(Cesaro) and Americans without honor or dignity such as Zack Ryder

I think it's just a way to repackage him or even bring him back w/ a manager like Heyman and a mean streak. They would be nuts to allow him to walk and got to TNA who would repackage him and use his talents. They could take Swagger and a few other lesser used guys and put them in a group w/ Ric Flair as their manager or Heyman

I actually hope he comes back as a face. He has been a heel for his whole WWE carrer so far and I think he could be a really good "hero" if allowed to be. Put him on Smackdown and have him start getting big wins. He knows he is better than this and is going to be the "real" American American!

What would save Jack Swagger's career? He has grown stale and has lost his "swagger." How does he get it back?
Personally I'd like to see him have to get back to basics. Who is the man that can teach Swagger how to carry himself like a champion? Who is the man that can offer Swagger the art of wrestling so to speak?
Mr. Bob Backlund, himself, he's loony and crazy and who wouldn't want to see Backlund making Swagger learn the president's names? Reclaiming his "All American American" heritage. thing is he has the potential to be the next kurt angle. let him take some time off. bring him back lets say shaved head and beard to begin as a bad ass face. perhaps during a angle where lets say cena is getting mobbed by this new punk/heyman dangerous alliance ive been hearing about.. swagger comes bolting to the ring and uses quickness and amatuer wrestling throws to clear the ring. show casing his background and new face turn with a new look. no music when he initially hits, jeans and a tshirt. not tights.make it look unplanned, not wait for his music then he comes down hulking and clears the ring. i think this would blow up the iwc and turn a few heads. granted during his time away. he would have to tone up, cause lets face it, he has become a tad pudgey
I highly doubt the WWE would release him. The fact that this is a minor story going on now, it wouldn't be WWE fashion, so to speak, to release him. Usually, they would have some "loser leaves WWE" stipulation or get the crap beat out of you.
Anyway, it's a toss up between reinventing himself (while maintaining his heel alignment) or on his way to becoming a face (still reinventing himself). I'd love for him to turn face as the WWE seems to be lacking on that side of the roster, especially when you have guys like Antonio Cesaro, Damien Sandow, and a returning Wade Barret in town. I think Jack Swagger has a lot of potential waiting to be tapped into. I believe WWE didn't do Jack (no pun intended) or themselves any favors by pushing him too fast and overexposing him. He has upside and in my opinion, potential Main Event star. Although I can see him more as a high mid-card position.
One interesting thing that I'm questioning is whether or not he's going to continue the All-American (American) gimmick given the fact that Derrick Bateman is doing the "USA Guy" gimmick. A possible tag team? If so, I wouldn't mind that. I'm against makeshift tag teams, but as long as they get coordinated tag team wise, I'll be fine with it. Aside from that, I do believe he can have a successful singles run. It's all really up to the WWE and how they use him, but I do think a "reinvention" is needed or at least something more "real" a la letting him be himself with the volume turned to the max.

Never count out Swagger! Jack Swagger is a bonafied future WWE star in the making. I just wish that people would stop putting pressure on Jack to be the next Kurt Angle in this new wrestling era. Swagger is Swagger and just hope the WWE will just let Swagger do that in time.

I think Paul Heyman recruiting him to stand alongside CM Punk and Brock Lesnar and a returning Jericho. Maybe all of these guys leaving are storyline a way for Heyman to create a stable to take over Raw. Heyman as the figurehead, with the WWE Champion, Brock the ass kicker and legitimate bad guy, Jericho the old school veteran who is sick of being disrespected by the new breed of superstar and Swagger, the hungry lion. I do not like the idea of Swagger being a comedy figure, he has so much more to offer. And Smackdown he will get lost in the shuffle of mid carders. The past few times we've seen Swagger, he's sold his frustration at not being able to get a win. We saw it after his match with Ryback when he screamed "that's it" and that's when the commentators began mentioning Swagger's losing streak. If WWE was going to fire Swagger, they'd just up and do it.

Sawgger is really stale. So, I pray for him to return as a face because I've always had a vision that Swagger would make a great face, and its something I have been hoping to happen for awhile. This is a great opportunity for that wish to be granted if he doesn't get released first, which I really hope doesn't happen because I firmly believe there is still hope left for him.

Actually, I'm very surprised that WWE hasn't tried the "Let's tease Swagger being a real face" card before this. If you think about the "standard" babyface of years past, Swagger's youthful look fits it to a T. Don't tell me you've never seen a hint of Bob Backlund while comparing Swagger to Angle (and Lesnar to a lesser extent). Swagger is very technically sound and wrestles almost old-school....Swagger returning as a face with Backlund as his manager... That is actually not as far-fetched as it sounded in my head!
