It's X-Division Week!

I've got more Ho's than Jim Duggan
This Thursday and Friday while the wrestling media world waxes poetic about the future of TNA on SpikeTV and even the future of the company itself, TNA brings to the world a double feature of its signature division.

First- tomorrow night Impact Wrestling presents Destination-X from the sold out Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, headlined by a tag team dream match and Austin Aries' attempt to cash in on "Option-C" for the second time when he faces Bobby Lashley for the World Title.

And if that wasn't enough, the following night, Friday August 1, TNA will debut the 2014 version of One Night Only: Xtravaganza.

Here is TNA's chance to bring us a real #August1Warning! After specualtion last year that Low Ki could be the man behind the vignettes, he has a chance to instead make August 1, 2014 his night to shine as he returns to compete for an X-Division title shot alongside the likes of Chris Sabin, Manik, Kenny King, Trent Baretta, Rubix, Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams, Tigre Uno and others. Also the card will bring fans another dream tag match as The Wolves and Bad Influence compete in a ladder match for $25,000, as well as a two out of three falls encounter between Aries and Sanada.

This set of shows falling back-to-back couldn't come at a better time for TNA. They need to showcase what it is that makes the brand stand out, and nothing can do that better than putting the X-Division in the forefront.

What are you looking forward to from this "x-fest" we are being treated too? Which night intrigues you more? Which matches are you most hyped to tune in for?

As for myself I love that Low Ki has returned and will be prominently featured on both shows, and I can't wait for both Wolves matches as Eddie and Davey show why they're the best tag team in the business that's working full time on American soil, and they have two amazing sets of opponents to demonstrate that against.

I'm excited about the Hardyz and Wolves match.
Curious to see what past wrestlers show up.
Austin Aries and Lashley may be a good match.

Should be a pretty cool night.

In a way though, this shows either the shortsightedness of TNA or how little they really believed in EY. Why didn't they use the whole Option C think with EY? With them playing the whole underdog thing, why didn't they have him win the X title and challenge Lashley again? It seems like a missed opportunity given how much time and effort they put into his title run. They could have easily worked Aries in after. Not that I am complaining, it just seems like it would have been a better ending to their feud.

As much work as they put into it, the ratings tanked with him in that spot. EY is a great working hand, but he just doesn't belong with that gold around his waist. It'd have been a waste of time in allowing him another shot, even if his feud isn't quite dead yet.

That's true. It just seems like a waste to have Aries return to the X Division only to leave again right away.
