Is there still passion amongst us?

I almost do not want to start this but feel obligated to as a life long WWE fan.My question is are you, as a fan, still pasionate about watching the product?

I need to explain this specifically.First off I want everyone to realize that I'm not calling anyone out on their feelings or trying to make myself seem superior.

I don't get TSN (I'm canadian) so the only access to WWE programing I have takes place at roughly 2 am on wednesday nights, friday nights, and saturday nights. Keep in mind that the shows are 2 hours long and run until about 4 in the morning. Despite this I still stay up and watch them (assuming I don't need to wake up early the next day). I even watch the pay-per-view previews channel to see the brief adds for the up coming event(At one point that was actually my only link to wrestling).

Now I understand that I may be a little more fanatical than most but I can't help it.I want to know how passionate you are about the WWE. Do you still feel that passion? Are there any mildly insane things you do for your love of buisness? If so, recall some of these events. Not just recent things, but maybe stuff from when you were younger too?

And if your not passionate anymore, maybe explain why you do not feel that spark .

*Do not turn this into a WWE bashing or PG rating rant *If the PG rating or if you feel the product is stale are reasons, than say so, just not like a two year old.

Thank you for your time

i would say that i still feel the passion, but i am now more mature with it (not by much, lol. ;))

i use to wear all the shirts of the rock, as he was and will always be my favorite, and when i was a kid, he was one of my childhood hereos, along with ozzy and jackie chan. (i know, weird combination.) i also always tried to see all the ppv's and talked about the program with my friends.

now that i am an adult, i still love the business and watch it whenever i can, but i dont wear the shirts anymore or watch the ppv's.

i dont wear the shirts because i am in a now in college, and one of my main goals is the girls at my school. lets just say wwe doesnt really help you get laid. i feel bad about not supporting it sometimes, but i realize that the main way to support a show is by watching it. wwe makes tons of money through advertisement.

i dont buy the ppv's because, again, im in college and really dont have the money to buy them.

when im older, i plan on probably buying the ppv's although its natural to stop wearing the merchandise as one gets older.

i also use to do (pro) wrestling with my friends. i remember being afraid of being stunned, but when it happened, i realized that it doesnt hurt at all, lol. ddts can hurt though.

now, i still wrestle with my friends, but its more actual wrestling, as i was a wrestler in high school, and its fun to mess around with the other guys that did it too.

i think that most people still have the passion, but we mature in our passion.

everyone always seems to get down on people when they critises the wwe and say that real fans should just enjoy the product. but i need to ask, dont baseball fans critique choices that coaches make? dont you scream at your basketball team when they mess up? ive seen wrestlers critizes the iwc, and they should for some of the bs that is spread around, like the false rumors. but when fans critique things, they are just showing how much they love the show, and want to see it succeed.

i know i added a lot of extranious information, but i hope that i answered your question to your satisfaction.

I'm still pretty passionate. I think its probably the most I've been since I started watching it in the past year and a bit or so. Every Tuesday I'll be back from college and instantly watch Raw online, I don't have Sky Sports 1, 2 or 3 so I watch it online. And tonight when I get in from college I'll find NXT and watch it, same goes for Friday I'll get back and watch Smackdown!. Also every Monday after a PPV I'll always find the PPV and watch it. Plus even though I know I wont be able to order it and know whats happening I'll watch the preview shows on Sky Box Office.

I wear the merch, just recently brought CM Punk's latest shirt, planning on getting Christian's at some point aswell, but that's four shirts I have now. Its essentially a Christmas tradition now, or if I have the money I'd get it earlier, to get the latest WWE Computer Game. When I can I'll buy the WWE Magazine, once my rooms sorted the walls will start to fill up with the posters I have.

I'm apart of an gfed aswell, when I have the time I'll always roleplay, cutting a promo like Edge or Jericho, etc. As far as the PG Rating goes, I really couldn't care less, I still love the product, and it really isn't as bad as people claim it to be. My friends been a wrestling fan longer than I have, been something like 9 or 10 years now for him, I've liked it roughly 7 coming on 8 and his passion hasn't changed either.

I wouldn't say that I lack the same passion for the product. What I would say is that the WWE has not given us anything to be really passionate about over the last year or so. You look back at the Attitude Era and there was so many different characters that could get you out of your seat and into what they were saying but that seems to have disappeared now. The reason why I think that most people will get disillusioned with the WWE, and TNA for that matter, is that they have a lack of personalties. They want to create something special. They had that with Hogan and The Rock and Stone Cold but they seemed to have thrown away the formula of creating this special superstar somewhere over the last 10 years or so. Now, this is not a bashing of the new era of WWE. In fact, I am still a fan of the franchise and of the company. However, it is my view that they have not attempted to create a superstar that really motivates people to come and see the show.

The closest they have to that is probably John Cena and he is despised half of the IWC. The Rock and Austin were special because no matter hat they said, you had passion and could affix yourself onto that. The WWE doesn't seem to want to do that any more and even if they wanted to, I don't think they could.
