Santo would win. The match is being held in Leeds, so any perceived advantage for location goes out of the window. Santo is a bigger star than Bret Hart, touched the lives of more people, was more well decorated in his locale and is remembered as one of the all time greats at that level. Bret Hart is a fantastic wrestler, don't get me wrong, but he lacks the popularity and success of Santo.

HUGE location advantage for Hart here.

The guy was just revered in Europe. Even when he took a sabbatical in '96, McMahon insisted he still work the European tours, because without his drawing power over there, they were likely to flop.

I like this match. Mexico's best versus Canada's best. I'm leaning towards Hart though. I'm not one to underrate the older guys like Santo. In fact, I tend to be one of the ones doing the educating on them. But I feel that Hart's technical expertise, his toughness and his smarts coupled with a crowed that would be firmly in his corner would give him the edge. Plus with this being in a cage that combines traditional rules and WWF rules (which Hart has the most experience with)? Hart was always great in a cage.

That all puts him over the top. Vote Hart.

Who are you to doubt El Santo?

I really only posted for that line as I haven't decided yet here. Great match up for sure and possibly the most interesting this round.

Hey, Bret Hart worked with a groin injury the likes of which you've never seen before!

Vote Hart
