It looks like WWE will be using high-speed camera shots in their shows in the not too distant future. Now this is something we have seen before; slow motion capturing is not new when it comes to replays. But we have never seen anything on this scale. While slowed down, the authenticity of different move sets provide much more realism than they do by regular recording. A simple clothesline can give the illusion of a much, much more powerful move. Pandering to the crowd by climbing a top rope and raising your arms in the air will look even more appealing.
But as all things that have pros, there can be cons. If WWE incorporate slo-mo in their weekly programs, there might not be much room for error anymore. A particular move that was botched will appear even more so if it is captured by this new concept. Fans may criticize the "300" look and not be as interested in the product as before. Sometimes the slow motion will be very unattractive- I personally don't care to see a flab of flesh recoil after a body punch.
To sum up my opinion, I think it is a great break from wrestling norms, and wouldn't mind seeing more Slo-Mo used on the shows. I believe it will deliver a more entertaining program, and that's what it is all about.
