In honor of Labor Day: Wrestling's Worst Workers

The Butcher

📶
Let's give a Labor Day shout out to those wrestlers who, in some fashion or another, just couldn't quite get it right in the ring. Thought out answers are appreciated, but it's the spam zone so have at it.

I'll start with a softball: The Ultimate Warrior. I loved him for what he was, but c'mon... Andre reportedly dreaded working with him, Rick Rude probably shortened his career making the guy look like a million bucks, and Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan had to script, storyboard, and rehearse their 'Mania matches with him to make sure there was some steak after the considerable sizzle of build up. Yeah, Warrior was never asked to be nor ever had to be a technician, but even during the age of squashes and strongmen, Warrior was pretty shitty if he had to go over a minute or two.

even though i love Scott Steiner, he wasn't always the best worker. he had to be dragged countless times and botched a lot of his suplexes.

Kevin Nash was pretty bad in WCW, he could never get it right in the ring once he went there.

Scott hall in WCW was a terrible worker as well, but he had issues.

Sin cara before he was fired was a terrible worker. wouldn't work with anyone and always botched.

Low Ki in wwe had the same problems as sin cara, not wanting to work with anyone.

Great Khali for just being terrible.

Nathan Jones - Green as gooseshit. Last year, I watched a 2003 episode of Smackdown where the cameras were still rolling during commercial breaks and after the show, and they had to re-shoot a spot where Nathan Jones ran in to save The Undertaker from A-Train and Big Show about 2 times because he couldn't do a Spin Kick right. And I'm sure the fact that he was green in the ring, was the reason he was left out of the match at Wrestlemania 19.

New Jack - Has he ever done a move in his wrestling career besides the 187?

The Sandman - Love the character but in the ring he was sloppy, had no flow or psychology.

The Boogeyman - Didn't care for the character and he was terrible in the ring, which must be why most of his matches consisted of squashes. Booker T didn't wanna work with him at Wrestlemania 22 and ended up training him in his school.

Jackie Gayda - Trish & Bradshaw vs. Jackie & Chris Nowinski. Nuff said.

Mabel - I think mostly of his 1995 run when it comes to him, when he injured Taker and Nash (you can hear Nash screaming at Mabel during their Summerslam match after he squashes his lower back). I've never heard of him injuring anyone after he was let go by the WWF, but he still wasn't any better in the ring. I enjoyed his Ministry Viscera, Worlds Largest Love Machine characters and his time in Men On A Mission though.

Khali, Gonzalez, Hogan (clothesline, big boot, leg drop, done), Warrior (though I liked him), Blue Meanie was pretty awful as well

How had Sid Vicious/Psyco Sid not made this thread yet? Bret Hart's greatest career achievement may have been getting a half-decent match out of him.

Any wrestler who had the word "Giant" in their name, if not preceded by "Andre the".

Or just "The," but yeah, solid point.

Paul Wight has always been one of the most agile big men ever. For a man his size, his athleticism is amazing. He used to do moonsaults in training. As he's aged, he's gotten slower and bigger, but putting him on this list is dumb.

David Flair.

Go fuck yourself.

What Nate said.

Let's hear him out, if only to see how far a man can reach up his own ass in the hopes of pulling something out.

even though i love Scott Steiner, he wasn't always the best worker. he had to be dragged countless times and botched a lot of his suplexes.

I thought he was fine pre-Poppa Pump. Once he bulked up his mobility vanished. He was a botcher, though.
