I have committed genocide.

Well kind of. Let me tell you the story.

In my classroom, I have a two way radio, so that if we ever have bad weather or an intruder, I'm one of the person who has to go through making sure all other teachers are following proper procedure and their kids are safe. So, if a gunmen were to come into the school, it's not looking good for me.

Anyways, I noticed a couple of ants scurrying around the window sill where I keep the two way radio. I pick up the two way radio and there are thousands of ants. THOUSANDS of tiny ants under this thing that is probably 6 inches by 3 inches. So, I take some "Off" and spray all the ants, killing most of them. Then I spray any that try to get away.

That's how I committed genocide. Well, kind of.

ants outnumber us about a 1000 to 1, so a few thousand dead isn't going to hurt anything. Don't worry Sly, I don't think to messed up the ecosystem or anything ;)

Yeah, but I exterminated the entire colony. I committed an ant genocide on an entire group of ants.

I'd feel bad, but there's a reason I'm at the top of the food chain, and they're not.

erm... I think there more than a 1000 ants in a colony, like a lot more. More than likely you just killed a family of ants

Ants are a living group of creatures, man...(which may or may not add to the possibility you committed genocide). They are just as important as you! God is like, going to put the like, curse of karma on you, man...[/Hippie Voice]

Damn you Sly! You sprayed them to death! Damn you! Damn you to hell! Why not have just peacefully let them go!?

Sly, just be grateful you don't live in Africa or South America, there are killer ant colonies that live there

I trapped a wolf spider in a plastic container once. I put a piece of metal in the jar to control the action with an outside magnet. The spider had no idea what was coming, he thought he was going to escape, the way he was forming webbing to help him climb to the top. I lured ants into the jar, they took him apart piece by piece, part by part. He had no idea what was coming, he thought he was winning the battle of escaping. Little did he know.

That is some fucked up shit. And I HATE spiders.

Is it weird that the only thing I'm afraid of is spiders, but my favorite superhero is Spiderman?

Also, a long time ago, I found out something real fun. At this one summer camp I went to, there were a lot of flying ants. Ants with wings, what a sight!. Anyways, they had HUGE anthills in the ground, with holes like an inch wide. So what we'd do, is take lighter fluid, and just fill up the hole, then leave a short line of fluid leading into it, light it... FWOOSH!! We had exterminated over half the population by the end of the summer. And don't judge me, we had to get rid of those things. They got into the cabins, the mess hall, everywhere. It got to the point where we'd prefer mosquitoes.

If you download Firefox there you probably could. :D

Not that I do that in school...

Flames Out
Dragon
I use Firefox there.

The block is done on the Internet server, not on the computer. So, as long as I'm logged in to the schools server client software and using their, I'm limited to their restrictions.

Hey ech, A driver ant isnt the only ant in africa theres also the bulette ant and the bulldog ant. I'm not sure but they might be one in the same. From what ive seen there actually quite helpfull to the africans. In the spring the go into the buildings and stuff and clean out the dead insects. Also it takes someware from 12 to 15 stings to kill you. And there fucking huge

Wow, it almost sounds like one of those horror movies about ants where the heroes end up doing something drastic to destroy the ants at the end. Cool, wish I could have been involved in all this.

Driver ants are really the only type of ant that moves in huge swarms and has been known to attack and kill humans

That's insane. Your my hero, I'm exactly the same way. I can handle holding any insect or reptile you can think of yet spiders I just can't even stomach or even look at for more than a few seconds. And I looooove spider man, he is my favorite of all marvel super heroes. He's way better than that :xmen:.
