I Feel Bad About Triplemania

I love the AAA promotion. But I can't be biased. The PPV was a major mess. A mess with problems that can easily isolate casual fans. AAA acknowledge it. I didn't think it was that bad, but that's because I knew all of the context going in and I switched to the Spanish commentary which was free of issue.

I just hope people don't think their shows are always like this. This was a complete freak thing as far as audio which according to Court Bauer was an audio box blowing and the technician, who are always outsourced by the PPV provider, happened to be inept.

Personally, I am both hopeful and looking forward to the potential next PPV "Immortal Heroes". Headlined by Myzteziz vs Rey Mysterio Jr. in a Mask vs Mask match and the Antonio Peña Cup match (12 man Aztec Warfare).

If you guys have anything to say about the show if you watched it, go ahead. I won't defend it.

No way, did a wrestling fan just criticize something he loves?.. You won't see that every day.

I tried watching it, my first AAA show and you're right. Total mess.

Alvarez had a ton of praise for the 2 main events. Cage was awesome with his shirt and the Myzteziz vs Rey had amazing psychology from start to finish.

I tweeted both Konnan and Bauer about it. Didn't hear back from the latter, but Konnan agreed it was the drizzling shits.

Blame has apparently gone on Bauer for trying to go for the cheapest option instead of using the entire budget he was given to set-up the technical side of the PPV. The issue now is this wasn't a mess on an iPPV, where many agree that the technology still hasn't been perfected - unless you've an unlimited budget like WWE - but a massive mess on a standard PPV, which means they'll have to refund to anyone who asks which will most probably be everyone so they're going to ultimately lose money on this one and for the next one they'll have to sway people into buying it with the knowledge that the last one already failed. They're now really swimming against the tide and truthfully, if the next one fails, AAA's PPV's are done in the States. Finito.

I watched parts of the show I could stomach, enjoyed the opener, liked the Hall of Fame ceremony and thought Cage/Patron and Mysterio/Mystezis were good, nothing spectacular, but good. Sadly they cut out before the actual end but knowing what happened im excited for Mysterio/Mysteziz in a mask vs. mask match.

AAA has been Americanized.

CMLL still feels like authentic and different but they still use the tired best out of three falls matches.
