Great show, was repeated last summer so I gave it a good watch. Seriously worth it and I heard a mini series is being remade and due out in Novemberish, I dunno if thats true or not.

That giant white orb of death was worthy enough of being parodied by the Simpsons when they were at the height of their powers.

I think it was the cult episode when Marge is told that she is free to leave the cult at any time. After she makes it through what basically looks like the battlefield of the Somme with some crocodiles thrown in, the orb comes for her and although she escapes, it gets Hans Moleman
