I have created this thread to pay proper respect to one of the best sketch comedy shows ever. In a world where SNL is king, far too many people forget that this show launched careers like Jamie Foxx, Jim Carey, Damon Wayans, David Allen Greer, Shawn Wayans, and Jennifer Lopez.

This is a great thread to discuss the impact of the show, as well as favorite sketches. And here are some of mine.

In my opinion, In Living Color is the greatest American sketch comedy show ever created. Like IrishCanadian25, I am saddened to not see this show get the love it deserves. However, I still see a sense of poetic justice with Jim Carrey, Jaime Foxx, and the Wayans Brothers all going on to have extremely successful careers in Hollywood. Also, Tommy Davidson and David Allan Grier will forever remain two of the most underrated American comedians of all time. It really is a travesty that these two haven't gotten more recognition.

For those of you who find Andy Samberg's digital shorts funny, take some time out to watch this show; In Living Color did low-brow humor like no other.

I couldn't agree with you anymore i also agree that in living color is the greatest american sketch comedy show ever. That show had the best and most original characters and sketches ever. I mean Homey the Clown, Handicap man, fire marshall bill there are just to many to name off. This show also started some really great careers like Jim Carey, The Wayans Brothers, and an Oscar Winner Jamie Foxx. If you young pups out there don't know this show then go out and get the seasons on DVD and you will be thanking me later i have some of the seasons on DVD and i enjoy the hell out of them this is an amazing show.
