So, as you guys probably know by now, the Mayhem Championship is back in WZCW! Woohoo!
The Mayhem Championship used to be the Championship that closely resembled the WWF Hardcore Championship from back in the day, right down to design. And whilst we want to keep some of the core of that, we have to be smart in terms of booking decisions.
We on Creative recently made a pledge that Championship shots would be easier to come by for everyone. You may have noticed in that time, that every second round of the PPV cycle has sported a Championship defence of the Elite Openweight or the EurAsian Championship? With addition of th Mayhem Championship, we will fill the holes on either side of that and have a Championship defence AT LEAST once per round. This is how it will look:
Round 1 Mayhem Championship defence
Round 2 Elite Openweight / EurAsian Championship defence (Rotation)
Round 3 Mayhem Championship defence
PPV Round All Championships (probably)
Each Mayhem Championship match will be contested under No-DQ rules and anything goes really. It ought to make Championships a lot more accessible to people and, crucially, add a little more fun and unpredictability to the Fed once more.
