It depends on if you are counting the non-consecutive terms of Grover Cleveland as one or two presidents. Barack Obama is currently in the 44th presidential term but is only the 43rd different man to be president.

Of course, you could be even more tricky (and controversial) and add in the Presidents of the Continental Congress (of which there were 14 different men with two men serving twice) before the USA was recognised as an independent nation by the Treaty of Paris in 1783 and before the ratification of the United States Constitution in 1788

Did I know this prior to the thread? Yes. I knew Obama is the 44th, but one guy served twice (didn't remember which). Of course I think everyone from here on out in this thread will get it right, being that it has been well-established that the correct answer is 43.
