How Do You Know An Era's Ended?

Getting Noticed By Management
Where to begin? I've been wondering about the different eras in professional wrestling, particularly the WWE since their eras seem to define the entire business somehow and I've been wondering what means that one ends and another begins? I mean when I think back to the transition from the Hulkamania era to the New Generaton in the then WWF, there was really now difference except for the fact that Hogan, Macho, and Warrior weren't there and Bret Hart, Taker, and the Klick were the top guys. Same thing with the end of the Attitude Era and Post-Attitude Era. The only difference I could see was that Brock and Kurt Angle were the guys after Stone Cold and The Rock left, they were still doing the risque angles and everything. So my question is, what signifies the end of an era?

What signifies the end of an era, is the obvious onset on a new era. New set design can by one sign, but a new era usually coincides with the tremendous push associated with the popularity of a particular wrestler(s). WWE hasn't had anything like that recently with guy like Cena carrying the belt all the time. With that being said, the current era is lame!

Well, the Era is defined by the company itself and the direction it has at the moment.

While The attitude Era is asociated more with Stone Cold rise to glory, The attitude Era started a year earlier at Wrestlemania 13, where the WWF went againts their usual hype. If you notice it, that Year there was no really a heavy promotion of the event as usual, the biggest start outside of wrestling was Ken Shamrock o represent a tougher way of seing things and not a big celebration, even the Promo at the beginning of the even was really dark compared to previous years and the Logo was a badass number 13 on fire.

The post-attitude era at lest for me started when the "F" was taken out of the ecuation. Even if the angles where edgy the thing of now call it "Enterteinment" now seemed to take its toll on everything.

Now the PG era is kind of lame, at least on Raw it seems like lighter. On Smackdown it does not influence as much since it is more about wrestling but still.

I am not sure when that era started because it seemd to start at a different time for each brand. While everything seemed ligther on Raw Smackdown hat the Batista-Taker feud going on and while it was a short feud in its early stage (due Taker's injury) it was really brutal and tons of blood were shed.

Is like the Hell in a Cell nowadays, I know most people won't agree with me but I cannot conceive "The Devil's playground" without blood being involved, Same with the Elimination Chamber last year, if it is so brutal how come none even bled a little?
