And I can't see a movie that's A. Been out in America for a month, B. Been released in the UK for two weeks without illegally streaming it.
I wanted to see American Ultra tomorrow but the closest place that shows it is ten miles away, has one viewing at 1pm while I'm still at work. I get that certain films will have less demand but jeez this is ridiculous. I also wanted to see the Dope movie but I can't even find a showing for that at all.
I know the film industry isn't in the greatest shape but man how do they expect movies which aren't based on IPs to do well if they're next to no promotion and they can barely be seen.
I saw a video by Max Landis (the guy who wrote American Ultra) and he makes some good points about movies currently

I mean if producers try and sell an original idea the way they sell an Ip based film it would probably do well.
