After a 4-7 start, the Houston Rockets have fired Kevin McHale as the teams head coach.
It really drives home that old saying that players win and coaches lose because this, IMO, is bullshit. Since McHale was hired as head coach, the Rockets have improved each and every season. Theyve been a playoff team and one of the elite teams in the West. Last season they had a 56-26 record and made it to the Western Conference Finals. They may have started off slow this season, but they do have some new pieces that need to become acclimated. Most notable of which is a new point guard thats running the team on the court. I just think that its too early into the season to determine that McHale is not capable of coaching this team or that McHale is to blame for their poor record.
What do you guys think? Should they have fired McHale? Is it his fault that they have a 4-7 record? Let me know your opinions.
