Henry respects Neville

The Samoan Heritage

Getting Noticed By Management
After Survivor Series I wanted to see how wwe would handle Reigns/Sheamus first before giving up on them completely so I decided to watch Raw.
On Raw wwe had Mark Henry vs Neville in which before their match Michael Cole talked about how much Henry has been praising Neville. Even during the match Henry dominated Neville but seemed reluctant to really use his full strength against him. In the end, Neville would go on to beat Henry after a kick to the head and The Red Arrow

but my question is, rather or not this will lead to anything? (The last time Henry praised a young guy was Reigns and we see how hard wwe has been pushing him)
And how will Miz be involved in any of this if at all(as he was shown watching backstage)?

Awww, he respects him.

Oh, wait, non-spam.

Yeah, this is one of those moments that may have just been filler and may never go anywhere. However, there is always a shot at this building a small Miz/Neville feud, maybe even with Henry in the middle. Miz can be pissed that he's been there longer than Neville, accomplished so much more, and yet, doesn't get the respect that Neville does in such a short period of time. It's pretty basic, but gives both (or all three) of them something to do for a while. It could work even better if Henry wasn't so damn big and Miz could savagely attack him for the disrespect, but that's a stretch.

Give it a week. If nothing, then nothing.

Possible. Honestly, after watching the Neville-Henry match, my first thought was that the focus was Mark Henry more than Neville; that Mark will be retiring soon and they want to send him out as a good guy rather than a heel. It's fairly pointless, but so is Mark Henry's career at this point.

As to building toward a Miz-Neville mini-feud, I was thinking that Neville has already advanced beyond Miz.......with Neville having been in the tournament for the world title while Miz wasn't considered for it.

Still, if Neville has nothing else perking for now.....

I actually don't mind what they're doing with Neville. While I think he should be doing a little more, WWE has done well by him, all things considered. Yeah he's in the under-card but at least he's actually involved in angles and wins the majority of his matches. He had that mini-feud with Stardust which led to him teaming with Stephen Amell at SummerSlam, he's beaten Barrett a few times, taken Cena to the limit, etc. He's somebody who, with a little more focus, can easily be taken as a legitimate threat to Owens or Del Rio in my opinion.

His match with Henry was just another building block for Neville. Sure it was only Mark Henry, but the bigger picture is, Neville went over a 400 pound man and he did it (relatively) clean. This will help his legitimacy a ton when WWE decides to do more with him. If he can beat Henry, why couldn't he beat Kevin Owens, Del Rio, even Sheamus? Of course this is all hypothetically speaking, but the fact that WWE let Neville go over Henry shows that he is on their radar, no matter how slight.

As for where this goes? I was going to say maybe a Neville/Henry tag team until I noticed that Miz was mentioned. Must have missed him when I was watching. I guess if Miz and Henry had ever been friends they could have gone the "jealous friend" route with Miz/Neville/Henry but that makes no sense given current circumstances obviously. I really have no clue, but if keeps Neville featured, that's a plus for me.

Henry's career has so many ups and downs. His fake retirement promo was brilliant. His World Title win over Orton was solid as well. But, otherwise, he's really wandered around aimlessly quite a bit. Right now, he's in another one of those lost periods.

Neville is kinda in a similar place. Yes, he did have the tournament match, but nobody would have picked him to win the thing. And, actually, Miz was in the tournament. He lost to Dolph Ziggler in round 1. So, they're on the same tier in terms of booking, only, Miz has a character and Neville hasn't established much of one yet. This could be a launching point to do so.

Any combination of these three doing some ring work and mic time could eat up some 5-10 minute chunks of TV each week, and that's something the WWE needs desperately right now.

The World's Strongest Jobber gets squashed by a guy three times smaller than him. No offense to all involved but, frig that. That's no way to end a career Mark Henry. At least show you can hang a little longer than five minutes with somebody, show that you are actually trying a little bit. The holding back was stupid and make him look vulnerable.

The time Mark Henry & Neville was too less to take their match seriously..... and i am totally on for Neville-Miz feud if its really gonna happen as i like Neville....

One of the few good moments of RAW (simply because of the hilarity of it) was when Michael Cole said after Neville pinned him: "What an upset for Neville"...

like... what??? Did I miss where Mark Henry was some force in WWE and difficult for his opponent to beat?

Other than Bo Dallas has Henry beaten anyone on TV in the last year?

I mean, really, how stupid does WWE think we are?
