Hell In a Cell: Triple Threat US Title Match In Hell in a Cell

Dark Match Winner
Hey everyone i've come hear that there will be a triple threat US Title Match in a hell in a cell at the ppv hell in a cell. The people in the match are the miz vs kofi vs swagger. im not sure if this is true or not but id like for you guys to give your thoughts on it and let me know if it is true thanks everyone!

This will probably be closed or moved to the PPV section but yes, there will be Triple Threat match between Kofi, Miz and Swagger at the PPV for the US title. On wwe.com it confirms it but it doesn't look like it will be a cell match at the moment according to the website only the DX/Legacy and Orton/Cena match's will be in a cell so far.

i hope i turn out to be wrong but since miz and swagger are taking turns stealing kofi's belt, my money is going to be on kofi retaining the US belt (also he seems to be unstoppable when it comes to defending his belt against more than 1 competitor at a time so thats another reason)

with that being said, i think kofi will lose the belt at or by Bragging Rights to the Miz or Swagger in a 1 on 1 match

I don't know which way this will go. Will they continue building Kofi or will the Miz finally get the nod. Or is the Miz simply a foil to a blindside victory by Swagger.

I am a betting man but even I am not crazy enough to call this one.

I REALLY like the unpredictability surrouding this match. As Gribbler said, you just don't know who is going to walk out with the title. All we know is that it should be a pretty damn good match. 3 stars on the rise, all gunning to be the next Main Event player. I really expect all 3 to step it up a few notches and deliver in a BIG way for this triple threat match. By far, this is the most excited I've been about the US title in... well... ever.

It's hard to cal who should win this, Kofi has held on to the title for a good while, but he has yet to be featured as champion really, no mic time even though he has pretty good mic skills. Out of Miz and Swagger, i'd say Miz needs it more, just because he needs something to solidify himself as a serious wrestler. He has great mic skills and heat, but he needs something to give him a bigger push. Swagger has his wrestling skills to rest on, but he could easily make a good champion, as long as he either got a mouthpiece or developed his mic skills. I'd still say have Miz win, just because he needs it.

Kofi will retain for sure now that Swagger and Miz are stealing the title from him. Kofi also has a very nice track record with defending the United States Championship in impossible situations. Miz would be a nice champion in due time as with Swagger, but Kofi isn't dropping the belt just yet. Should be a nice match though.

Kofi will win this match. He has a good track record defending the United States Championship in impossible situations. I don't see him losing it to The Miz or Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Match, but at Bragging rights to one of them in a one on one match. Miz and Swagger though would make a good United States Champion, just not yet.

If this match is truly in a HITC, and not just on the PPV HITC, we are witnessing the destruction of one of the best gimmick matches in the history of wrestling. Miz is awful and Swagger is almost just as awful. Kofi, on the other hand, has been a nice surprise. Here's to hoping WWE gives him someone to wrestle in the future. Btw, what is with guys stealing the US title. What sense does that make? We know who the champ is, so, WTF?

Holy cow the US and Ic title being defended on the same show wow what is wwe thinking.. mabey they are thinking both matches will steal the show morrison and ziggler should put on o great match and this one will be tremendous.. i am really wanting a swagger title run so he can have his run drop it and go after the main event scene but i dont know if he will win this one im goin to agree with everyone else and say kingston will retain

Looks to be a good match and will be sure to entertain, but I'm not so interested in the story or the characters right now. Other than the Miz getting 10-15 seconds here or there, there are no promos around the title. At least on SD! the midcard title gets ring and mic time. I want to say Kofi wins, but I don't know here. Too tough to call.

It really doesn't matter who wins though as they are all on the same level. A win or loss doesn't hurt or elevate any of them because they aren't working with more established talent. Now if a guy like Big Show or Mark Henry or even MVP had the title, a win here would be much bigger. However it will be a blip on the radar until they can create an intense rivalry over the US title like they have over the IC title the past couple of months.

im really liking this ppv already.....except on the part of the overuse and devaluation of the HIAC........ apart from that we got good matches..... but thats for another thread....
this match looks solid..... we have the technical aspect.... the spped with kofi and the entertainment with miz..... i also believe that kofi will walk away with the belt but i expect a hell of a match with a lot of close pinfall attempts.

It's not going to be in a cell, if you would look on wwe.com. It has the ones that will be contested in a cell marked with (Hell in a Cell match). So everyone calm right on down. /facepalm

Well. Kofi is going to win this one only to lose it at Bragging Rights or Survivor Series..can't think of which. Survivor Series. to Miz. Swagger will be too busy kicking ass on Orton's captained Survivor Series team.

Should be one hell of a match, though. Kofi, Swagger, and Miz aren't slouches in the ring. It'll be rockin'.

Call me crazy, but I'm still not convinced that Swagger is ready to carry the U.S. title for a long period of time. Don't get me wrong, I like him, I just don't think he's quite ready yet. It wouldn't surprise me to see a quick roll-up type victory from Kofi on Swagger, to keep the feud going, at least between Kofi and Miz. I definitely don't have a problem keeping Swagger in there though. Hell in a Cell's mid card is shaping up pretty nicely.

This should be at least average if not better. These three are all talented up and comers, and if given enough time they could quite possibly steal the show. But this is the WWE we're talking about, so the match will likely be about eight minutes long. Just short enough for us to forget about it in 15 minutes.

Should be a good match either way. I expect Kofi will likely drop the belt here, probably to The Miz.

Well, on the PPV website, it says it's a normal Triple Threat Match. So, that's what I'm going with. Regardless, the PPV looks like it's going to be a damn good one with the two main event HIAC matches (with a third one possibly coming from Friday Night Smackdown) and two awesome looking undercard matches.

I like the way this has been building between Kofi and Miz in the last couple weeks on TV. The swerve of Jack Swagger staking his claim to the title throws a monkey wrench into what I thought would be a one on one match. If I'm a betting man, I would say that Swagger was thrown in just to be the fall guy. But then again, I could be wrong. I've been impressed with the work Miz has done since coming to Raw as I honestly thought he'd sink without Morrison. Shows how much I know. Kofi's Kofi. He hits more often than he misses, but when he misses, you notice. And to be honest, I think Swagger is a decent enough wrestler to have the U.S. Championship on Raw. In the end, I'm predicting a (Howard Finkel announcement) NEEEEEEW United States Champion: THE MIZ.

The way the PPV looks right now, I'm definitely giving it a buy and not waiting for the DVD. Congrats, Vince. You got me to buy 2 $40 PPVs in 17 months.

This is definitely my favorite match of the card, so far. However, just like every other Kofi Kingston ppv title defense... I have no idea how this match will end. Last week, The Miz stole the United States Championship. This week Kofi Kingston was able to gain the title back just to get it stolen again... this time by Jack Swagger. Who knows what will happen next week.

In Kofi Kingston's 4-month title reign, this will be his 9th title defense. Very impressive in this day and age of the WWE. I feel that Kofi Kingston can still do great as the champion even after 4 months. The Miz can still go after the title after losing his title match. I think the more you chase the title, the better. As the more you go after the title and lose, the more you want the title. I'm glad that Jack Swagger is being added to the title scene as it gives him something significant to do.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this match ended in some controversial way. So controversial that it would cause the United States Championship to become vacant. You see all the people that have been in the U.S. Title scene since Kofi's title win, so a tournament would work. I'm not saying this is the best case scenario, but it is thinking outside the box.

Prediction: The Miz wins the United States Championship.

Kofi is shit. Fake Jamaican who can't work, can't cut a promo, and lacks charisma. Swagger is future champion material, and maybe Miz too. Either one of these guys has to win, although frankly they could push Swagger now without him ever having had a midcard title and I think it would work: the guy is so obviously a physical beast, a tremendous athlete, and just oozes DOUCHEBAG charisma. Rather like Miz, another guy with an uncanny ability to attract heel heat. Miz probably needs the belt to legitimize him in a way Swagger doesn't, so lets hope he gets the nod.

this match is one to watch out for... i think that Miz needs the title... keyword: needs Swagger has had a world title ( ECW ) but Miz hasnt held world title... he had tag title... with the current IC champ. So i really think kofi needs to drop... not that i dont like him or anything but he has held it TOO long. Miz needs a push to a title on RAW, Swagger doesnt... he should get involved with something different... i would actully watch a Miz/Kofi fued... but Swagger/Kofi :disappointed: so, Miz vs. Kofi vs. Swagger will be a 2.9 out of 5.00 match. IN MY OPINION

This match is strange.

Firstly, why they Hell are they running with the "I'm stealing your belt" angle in the first place? Very strange and it must have some ending to it. Right now though, I have no idea what that could be but I am intrigued to see what it is. Secondly, I am glad that they have 3 of the better people on the roster in the same match. I think that with Swagger and the Miz, you know what you are going to get and that will be some good wrestling and entertainment. With Kofi, you know you are going to be entertained by his style inside the Hell in a Cell and I think that this is going to be probably the best match on the card.

I also think that the three people involved genuinely have a good chance of walking out with the title, which can only be good for both the event and the superstars involved. Swagger needs a tile run with a prestigious title to see how well he does and The Miz is in the same boat really. Miz needs to win something and soon to be remembered and not go the way of Evan Bourne. Which brings me to my next point, why is Bourne no in this match? He fucking well should be. That would make this match so much more impressive. Anyway, Kofi has made a habit of overcoming the odds and he could do it again. I am very much looking forward to this match it should tick all the boxes.

The "stealing your belt" angle is being as poorly utilized as the Cyber Sunday stipulation of last year where Mysterio would lose his mask if he lost. It's lazy scripting, has been a waste of time, and is basically an after thought.

The match should be good, as almost all the matches in Kofi's reign have been at least watchable. It won't be given much thought by the creative team, but I hope Kofi, Swagger, and Miz can get together and build upon past match-ups.

It's a bit of a weird match up for me, like they just picked three random names out of a hat, but I like it. I'm going with Kofi losing the belt but I can't decide if he will lose it to Miz or Swagger. I'd like to see it on Miz but a bit of me points to Swagger winning. The all American American with the US title. Heh.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Kofi impresses me every week now and I've been a fan of his title run. The Miz is getting better and better, who would have thought he would be this far up the card after "getting buried" against Cena. As for Swagger, he is someone who has always impressed me. He is on the verge of big things and matches like this will help him.

If all three men are told to go out with a reasonable amount of time, it could steal the show. People argue that there isn't enough of a feud going on with this title, but I am enjoying it. Miz and Swagger constantly talk of how they will be the US champion, whilst Kofi is playing the "Jeff Hardy" role, keeping quiet and letting his wrestling do the talking.

I want Kofi to retain again, to add to the terrific run he's been having. Miz and Swagger's time is coming though. Both will get runs with the title eventually, though only when there is another midcard face who is built up enough other than Kofi to be deemed worthy of feuding for the title.

I read on the main site that WWE creative was thinking of throwing this into a ladder match. I think they're going with the classic "HBK/Razor Ramon who IS the real champion?" from '94. Personally, I think it's a bad idea, as stated on the site. They just had a ladder match a couple months ago on PPV, and December is going to be an all TLC match PPV [which I also think is stupid.]

I expect Kofi to retain the title here in his last successful title defense. They have done a good job of building this up to be a real challenge for Kingston but his string of luck is running out. Unfortuantely for Miz and Swagger that won't be till after HIAC. Kofi retains.
