Having a pretty good sandwich at the minute.

Danger Burger

Thread Killer
Hey guys,

Cooked up a pretty good sandwich just now. Really enjoying it. If this was after sleep I'd toss this up in the breakfast thread (Soda, 2012.) but its supper.

Bread, lightly toasted, buttered, filled with fried mushrooms and baby sweetcorn, seasoned with a little cayenne pepper and garlic, stocked with a sliced up Linda McCartney brand vegetarian sausage, and tickled with a roasted pepper pesto.

Finishing up now, damn. Pretty good. Glass of milk and I'm hitting the hay.

Have a good night guys,

Danger.

I am not sure how you wrote an entire word as a typo but you either typed the word good before sandwich or vegetarian before sausage. You should try to get a moderator to change that for you.

No doubt the sandwich would suit more common tastes with the use of a rasher or genuine pork sausage (and why not both?), but it was what it was. I only hope to remain truthful to the sandwich. And it was good.

The Linda McCartney brand is a whole different beast to the Quorn play-doh nonsense that has somehow become popular. You won't care, but somebody out there might be eating that insult to foodkind and falling into depression. Linda McCartney is where its at.

If I could get a mod to make me a sandwich that'd be great; and if a mod was a guest in my house I would gladly offer them one.

Even though I'm no vegetarian, that sounds damn good. I'm jealous.

Past month my snackage has been mostly a tuna melt, so this was a real nice break from the monotony.

There are some fundamental approaches to building a sandwich that almost never fail. Fried veg, sausage and some pesto works regardless of your choices in each category.

Live the dream, Lowdown. Make the sandwich!
