Halo 4 drops on Tuesday, November 6th. Two weeks from today, actually. The game has had a total multiplayer overhaul, with more focus on story-driven online play. Oddball got some great improvements, there's a new point-based capture game called Dominion (ironically exactly like an FPS version of League of Legend's Dominion), the weird gravity hammer game got its own map, and Forge mode has vast improvements.

The story of Halo 4 is still very much unknown (well...technically the whole story has leaked online, but I refuse to look), but it will involve a lot of Forerunner tech and culture.

Wikipedia said:
Having been lost in space since the finale of Halo 3, Master Chief and Cortana, adrift aboard the wreckage of the UNSC frigate Forward Unto Dawn, find themselves near a mysterious Forerunner planet.[6][16] A key plot point will involve changes to Cortana and how her exposure to Halo and her operation beyond her natural lifespan may have contributed to her becoming "rampant", a mental state of aged AIs akin to insanity, and which normally results in the 'death' of the AI.[17] The campaign will mainly take place on the artificial forerunner planet of Requiem.

Microsoft also spent $10M on a live-action film, broken into 5 parts. The story takes place on a planet used to train army recruits against the threat an unnamed insurrection. At the beginning of each clip, the deterioration of Cortana's mental state is shown, along with Chief still frozen in stasis. You can tell this is either way in the future, or not really human at all, because characters like Chief, the Arbitor, or Spartans in general aren't recognized by the young rookies. I'm really interested to see how this ties into the actual game.

Here are the first three parts, with 4 and 5 dropping in the next two weeks.

So who's buying Halo 4?

So who's buying Halo 4?

This guy right here. Have the limited edition pre-ordered actually.

I'm so stoked for this game, then again I am for every Halo release but this time is different. This game finally features the return of the Master Chief in a more personal driven story that dives deep down into Chiefs own humanity. Which sounds awesome because over the first 3 Halo titles,we never got to see very much of that. Unless,of course you have read the books.

The gameplay looks familiar while at the same time adds enough to make it feel fresh, but familiar. What I think I'm most excited about is the fact that after multiple games in the series,we finally get to fight a new enemy, called the Prometheans,of Forerunner relation. Not to say that the Covenant weren't fun to fight but after 5 or so games,it will be refreshing to fight a new type of enemy, and from what I've seen, they look pretty bad ass.

Did I mention the weaponry? A bunch of your old favorites make a return along with the same old classics you know and love with a new category of weaponry being introduced as well. Oh a bit of this and a bit of that you could say, take a look.

Good to see the Battle rifle making a return, personally I'm more of a DMR guy but I'm not picky. The SAW looks like a beast while all the Promethean weaponry just looks F'in sick! People dissolve for fuck shakes! Dissolve! If that isn't cool then I don't know what is.

Aside from the campaign, which is always the main reason I've bought the Halo titles I have, there is multiplayer. At first I wasn't completely sold on the idea of Ordnance drops but now I feel they are a great move perhaps. I hate people camping near spawn points of power weapons, like damn guys,go help your buddies instead of waiting for a weapon for some leverage. The whole idea is that it's suppose to prevent camping near these hot spots and force players to jump into the fight. Hopefully it makes for some better, faster paced gameplay. Infection is now flood. Instead of being zombies, when infected you actually become a flood. Other than that I think the mode remains largely the same. The new maps look great, there are even some maps that have been remade. Everybody remembers Halo 3's Valhalla? Well now for Halo 4 it's being brought back as Ragnarok. Which includes a special new Vehicle is you take a look see ;).

Guess people will no longer be fighting for the Scorpion...The Mantis seems a bit overpowered judging from all the videos I've seen so hopefully 343 balanced it out a bit. Cool nonetheless.

Spartan Ops,the objective based mode looks really cool. I'm going to miss firefight but Spartan ops looks like an acceptable replacement that I very much look forward to waste multiple hours on.

From what I've seen, and I've seen a lot. This game looks mighty impressive and I think 343 has outdone themselves. So very much looking forward to this one. 2 more weeks to go!

2 hours until it hits the shelves. It's one of the five major blockbusters that I've been waiting for in this last quarter of the calender year. And yes, I count WWE 13 as a blockbuster title. I'm interested in the campaign, for the first time in a long time. Halo's Campaigns is one of the few shooter games that make me want to play their Campaigns before going on to multiplayer.

Needless to say, in two hours, I'll be picking up my copy of this game and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
