Pre-Show Stalwart
I think NXT has been going strong so far this new season, though I've been impressed more with the production and the main events than the entire card. However, I would say Tyson Kidd vs. Michael McGillicutty was the best televised match this month.
SmackDown has been iffy. I think these past weeks have been a lot stronger. Sheamus-Ziggler and Christian-Del Rio were both treats a couple weeks ago, whereas the triple threat tonight was solid. However, there are still too many segments that feel extremely routine, like Ryback's never ending squash matches.
RAW's meh. I think the first three weeks of RAW this month were mediocre to just plain shitty. This week's was decent though. Like I ranted about in the thread about NXT's first episode of the season, I think RAW lacks the kind of gratifying structure where you can always look forward to a good segment each week. There's too much senseless variety and sometimes certain angles (like Show/Cena/Laurinaitis) get an unbalanced amount of time. Really, RAW needs more Ambrose.
I haven't watched Superstars at all this month and I haven't kept up with ROH since it left HDNet. So I can't weigh in at all there.
Personally, I think Impact has been doing a cracker jack job with the first matches in the Bound for Glory series and the X-Division Tournament qualifiers this week were a ton of fun. Gut Check and Open Fight Night are two more great features that normally keep me entertaining. I haven't been a big fan of the Styles-Carter-random drug addict-Daniels-Kazarian angle, but whatever, that's what fast forwarding was invented for. I've also enjoyed the Joseph Park character, though I'm kind of looking forward to the angle ending.
Overall, I give my vote to Impact. I think this month it's had the most consistent, quality wrestling and though I haven't been a fan of all the storylines, at least they're pretty time efficient in telling them. Also, there hasn't been to much Hulk Hogan. That's just great.
