Mr. TM

Throwing a tantrum
Years 1-100, there have been over 1000 Montreal Canadiens to lace up their skates for the Habs, but the simple question must be asked. Who is the greatest?

I think it is pretty simple, but there is one man I have to put well ahead of everyone else. The man that caused an entire city to riot with his suspension. The man who scored 50 in a season, a number that is still daunting to this day. The man who won 8 Stanley Cups. The man who has an award named after him that is now one of the most prized singular awards in Hockey.

He is Maurice "The Rocket" Richard. And he is the best hockey player ever to represent the best team ever. Who argues that? Who is your choice?

I went with Jaqcues Plante, only for my massive love of goaltenders. He is an all-time great, and innovated the position more than any almost any player has affected theirs. He may not have been the first to wear a mask, but he was the one who made it the standard, and he wasn't half bad between the pipes.

Close 2nd, for me, was Guy LaFleur, only because I love corny beer commercials.
