Game of Thrones

It's become my favorite show and it sucks that there are only 2 more episodes this season. It's gonna be tough for me to not read the books, but if I do, it'll ruin the show for me. Hopefully it's second season debuts sooner then later(HBO is known for having long periods in between seasons.)

Anyone else watching this show?

I don't get HBO, but from what I've seen and read online it looks fucking good.

Anyone have any clue how long until they release the first season on Box set?

Probably not for a while. The season usually take a while to come out on DVD, I'd think the first season would probably come out on DVD when the second season was ending on TV. The earliest could come out is the beginning of season 2, but to my knowledge the box sets usually take a while, though lately, all DVDs seem to be hitting the shelves a lot faster.

This is by far my favorite show on T.V. right now. It has everything; violence, drama, political intrigue, comedy, sex, and all in a fantasy/medieval setting. Everything about the show is so well crafted and well written. Each character is interesting and has their own unique personality and history. The show is pretty much perfect to me. I have no idea how I'm going to be able to hold off from reading the books when this season ends.

At one point, I enjoyed tonight's episode immensely. But right now, I'm just sad.

I don't know if it's up there with HBO's holy trinity of The Sopranos, The Wire, and Deadwood, but their current lineup of Boardwalk Empire, Treme, and Game Of Thrones is definitely hitting all the right notes for me. Couple that with the last season of In Treatment last fall and I've gotten my money and then some out of HBO in the last couple years. They've definitely reasserted themselves as the premium cable channel with the best scripted drama.
