Gail Kim & Madison Rayne are the *NEW* Knockout Tag Team Champions

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
With major help from the Knockouts VP Karen Jarrett, of course, but new champs nonetheless.

Kim is already scheduled to compete at the upcoming Turning Point Pay-Per-View for the Knockouts Championship against current champion Velvet Sky, so obviously the fallout here isn't likely to lead to a re-match there, but one way or another you can bet your ass that TNT (Tara & Tessmacher, a name I love by the way) will now become a factor in this highly volatile Knockouts Division.

I'm not sure the best move was to put the title on Kim right away simply because of the fact she's gunning for the Knockouts Championship, but being able to walk away from Turning Point with two belts would certainly help to vault her as the top heel in the company and help to push even more heat for Karen.

Thoughts?

Might have been a bit quick. But it could develop into a feud with TNT eventually regaining the titles. BTW.. I like how TNT has packaged themselves... TNT.. Tara N Tessmacher?

Gail Kim is looking phenomenal so far.. probably will develop into the best female wrestler on Television if she continues a steady work rate at Impact Wrestling.

This Karen Jarrett thing is kind of weird... but I think I might like it.

I'm sad that my girl Brooke Tessmacher isn't a tag champion anymore that's for sure. But at the same time it feels like TNT haven't really been doing too much with those titles and I think that it is a nice change of pace having Gail and Madison take them off em. Obviously Gail returning is a big deal and I kind of expected her and Rayne to win the titles, I just really hope that they have a legitimate feud because if they just win them and hold them while Gail goes after Velvet then I'll be even more dissappointed in what they're doing with the Knockout Tag Championships. Best possible situation would be Gail winning the Knockouts title as well and then defending both regularly, as long as she defends both often I would be totally cool with her holding two belts because I am a big fan of her and I think that she's going to do great things now that she's pack in TNA.

isn't this the same bitch that said wwe shouldn't have given her the women's title so soon?(gail has become sad and i ani't even watch her on my tv.)

If your reply didn't sound like a 3rd grader wrote it maybe it would have some merit. Gail Kim was unhappy in the WWE because she wasn't being properly booked but who is really being booked correctly over there? Now back to the topic

Moving the belt over towards Gail right now is good. Gives her an "immediate" impact and can allow her rise to be great. She can feud as a tag team with Rayne while trying to fend off the challenge from TnT and then go after the championship. TnT can get involved with her program with Velvet eventually and could lead to a lot of interesting events. TNA is doing something right. I don't usually enjoy ladies wrestling as it has severely declined over the years but TNA seems to have a good formula for the KO division.

i should be happy and could be happy, but i dont care. it's the Knockouts tag team titles and it's not like there are much tag teams in the knockouts division. another thing is that it still makes no sense as to why Karen Jarrett is still in charge of the knockouts, i mean, Sting is the man in charge, why doesnt he, you know, take her title of knockouts vp away. anyways, the knockouts tag team titles arent really a big deal, though i feel like it's too soon to give Gail gold, hopefully she does NOT win the Knockouts title as i feel that Velvet should get a long run and besides, i really want her to feud with Winter so we can end the Love and Winter storyline.

Well it didn't take long for Gail to get a championship. Based on what happened on Impact, I really don't see her beating Velvet for the KO title. It can still happen, don't get me wrong. This seems like it could lead up to a match maybe at Victory Road where Karen's position is on the line. So far there's a mini-stable with Karen at the helm, Madison and Gail as the tag team champs, and Traci Brooks as the reluctant lackey. Truthfully though, the KO tag belts weren't really defended on a regular basis, so maybe we'll see it happen on a more consistent basis. But big ups to Gail on making a huge impact (no pun intended) by getting some gold in such a short time.

there are better ways to handle your frustration than to act on it on live TV. Very unprofessional and it discredits her greatly. If I were her, I would have asked for my release. If you're not happy, you shouldn't have to stick with a job that you hate, but there are better ways to go about it. people piss me off at my job everyday.(maybe i should start being unprofessional)

nobody seems to care about her judging from the amount of replys on this topic.

You do know she was told to eliminate herself as fast as she could right? So she did it the easiest way possible. How does it discredit HER? She did what she had to do. WWE could have strung her along on her contract and forced her to stay. By eliminating herself quickly (as she was told to do) and by doing it the way she did she got out of her contract and returned where she would be properly utilized. Whats the problem.

It makes sense to have the Karen Jarrett alliance being on top with Kim and Madison Rayne winning the knockout tag titles. I could still care less about them, but it is nice to see tessmacher's asstastic move in the ring if nothing else. I wouldn't be surprised to see Gail win the knockouts title too leading a dominant knockout division.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. While I'm glad it gets Madison Rayne something else to brag about now that she has won this title a second time, she should really be contending for the Knockouts Championship instead of holding the tag team belts with Gail Kim of all people. At least the belts changed hands, it could be worse. They could have kept them on Tara and Tessmacher longer and they had it for too long.

Anyone who either is contending or can potentially contend for the Knockouts Championship should not waste their time on these belts. Madison should move back to the Knockouts title scene. Gail Kim can find a new partner for this division. Granted Gail is also challenging for the Knockout title, but I only see that as a way to use her as someone new now that she has just recently returned. Save these belts for the ladies who are not going after the main female title, that would make more sense because they have enough names to create 4 teams to contend for these belts and make them matter, although that will never happen. I see this being a longer somewhat pointless reign until they drop them to some random other team after enough time has gone by that fans need a reminder that these belts still exist.

well as the titles are never defended on impact unless there changing hands i thought angelina love and winter were getting them back but TNT retained but as soon as i saw madison and gail were going for them i knew a change was happening as madison rayne just resigned with TNA the day after Bound For Glory and gail kim is the new toy for whoever runs the knockouts divison truley and it does make gails match with velvet a little more interesting as it looks like karens sidekicks are trying to have all the titles but hopefully velvet retains and another heel joins karens hot little stable to fued with her and have velvet join forces with TNT and it could be a 3 against 3 fued which personally i would find really entertaining espically if winter joined up with karens group and fueded with velvet as it could lead to a face turn by angelina with velvet sky "saving her" from winter if they wanted to do tht but thts just what i would do

now that they proceeded to make her a tag team champion, they should not stop right there. instead, they should feature the title in every impact! for the next few weeks; that would set her up as a formidable competitor, also it would bring value/worth to the red titles.

Obviously I am disappointed in Tara losing the KO tag team titles, but it makes sense to have Madison and Gail take the belts, it helps to make them into even bigger heels.

WHY OH WHY did WWE do so little with Gail Kim? She really is a brilliant talent, and she was totally wasted in McMahon-land. She was awesome in her initial TNA run, and is already showing why she is one of the best women wrestlers in the world in TNA, capable of playing either a face or heel really well. I fully expect her to win the KO title at the next PPV and leave with 2 belts.

TNT (love the name btw) will probably remain as a duo, and get a rematch pretty soon, but I would like to see Tara going for singles gold again soon. A Gail Kim v Tara match would be good to see, I'm not interested in another Tara v Madison feud. That was done to death.

Perfect scenario for me. Gail Kim wins the KO title, and feuds with Tara afterwards.
