G.I. Joe 2 with the Rock

Apparantly as of a few minutes ago the Rock has agreed to be a part of The sequel to G.I. Joe. Now as far as I have found out I am pretty certain only Chaning Tatum is the only original character from the original that has agreed to come back. I also found out that the Rock was negotiating the deal to play Roadblock. I think this could be interesting however I dont like th fact that no one want to come back for the second. That in fact makes me have my doubts on this one. Im guessing I am one of the few that actually enjoyed the first.

Anyway your thoughts on this, and do you think with the Rock in the second will it do better than the first and maybe save the franchise(if you can call it that)

Of course no one wants to come back, the first one was a massive failure, people constantly rant about how awful the Transformer flicks were, but both those movies were far far better than GI Joe, if they want to make another movie, I would hope this time around they just reboot it, new cast, new writers, new director, pretty much new everything, this franchise needs all the help it can get

Considering the fact that the first one sucked other than the storyline behind Snakeyes and Stormshadow leading up to their fight.... It is no surprise that the cast did not want to be in a sequel. I will watch this sequel but only because of The Rock as I watch films that he is in. It might suck even more without the cast of the other film but the addition of The Rock would make it worth at least giving a chance in my opinion. New characters would help too.
