First Person View Wrestling game.

Do you guys think this would work?
Yep, a first person view wrestling game. WWE preferred. This would make the game a little harder as you would have to keep an eye on your back a lot more then you would in past games. It would bring a lot more realism to the game. Do you guys think this would work? Would people pay for it, would you be willing to pay for something like this?

Me personally , I think this would be really fun as it would be something totally different and it would be worth trying it out.

I think they should add that in to SmackDown vs Raw 2011, maybe 2012. In options it should have two options- first person and normal. That'd be fun to attempt. I would enjoy it. But I wouldn't want the whole game to be like that

Evan Bourne's shooting star press as viewed by Bourne? drooling!

Actually, I think it could theoretically be a good idea, but I do have concerns as to whether or not we have a good enough gaming system to pull off something like that. I am not sure that it could be done in a realistic enough way yet still be playable.

This would probably be the least fun thing ever. Now if you had a mode where you could watch the match you just had in first person, I'd get behind that. If you tried to wrestle the match it would take away the ability to see what the fuck is going on and all your opponent has to do is run behind you and keep attacking. You'd get your ass whipped every match or you'd be forced to squash your opponent real quick.

This is a really good idea, just not for right now. Video games are still evolving, and there's still a lot that our consoles can't do. Motion technology, like the Wii, is a step in the right direction, but I believe that in the future, the Wiimote will be seen as something akin to the Power Glove. Yes, you move to move your character, but either the action is very, very simple or it becomes awkward or hard to accomplish.

I don't think that a first person wrestling game should be made soon, because the types of controls we have would be too difficult to make it fun. In future consoles, however, I think we'll see fully immersive virtual reality, full-body motion control, and all kinds of brilliant things like that. That is when a first-person wrestling game will be awesome. Imagine legitimately punching to throw a punch, kicking in different ways to perform different kicks, taunting however you'd like, or maybe even innovating new moves. Of course, some issues, such as certain aerial maneuvers and slams will need to be addressed. By then, though, I think that video games will have evolved past what we think of when we think of video games today.

Undesirable today, but perhaps a brilliant idea for the future.

It certainly would be interesting to say the least. However, like someone said, it should just be an option on a game like SvR12. The reason being it would be way too hard to have a game in first person. Let alone a wrestling game. You would have to watch your back, and you would only be able to see through your character's own two eyes. Which would provide limited vision as opposed to every other SvR game. While it is a good idea, I think it is better off just being an option in a game as opposed to a necessity.

Well remember in WWE Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth when you could walk around the arena before a match? This first person mode would be like that. Personally, the video game technology has not been crafted in such an advanced state where the first person experience in the wrestling game would be a realistic experience. Right now the game should stick to a broadcast view and in the future they will use the idea of first person. Not to mention you have this Kinnect thing and the PS Move coming that could make the experience even greater, but the technology would still have to get better you know.

I think there should be an option to try it. It would take a long time to make. But as long as I don't have it on every time I play the game. But Multiplayer would suck it would be on Split screens.

Yeah it would be interesting to see how this would work. I wouldn't mind it, in fact I want it to happen. Like the equivelent of be a pro on fifa except 10x better :D.

This is interesting...it might could work in very later years, when Kinect and the new Playstation Motion Technology is established, but I personally wouldn't like it.

The third person view is way better in my opinion, as I think only shooters are made to be first person, but I would definitely give it a try.

I think it could work for Kinect, but it would probably be a bit nauseating. Personally, I think that it would be awesome, but the technology just isn't there yet. Viewing a classic match remade for the game move by move from either wrestlers perspective, such as Ramon vs. HBK in the Ladder Match, any of the Hardyz vs. Dudleys vs. E & C TLC matches, and the 2 HBK vs. Undertaker matches would be epic, and could be used as unlockable content. But as for the actual question, it would be fun, but it would be too hard to actually work.
