I am actually glad Vickie is back. However, her routine gets pretty old as General Manager, which is why WWE made the right decision not to go there this time around. I'm actually surprised they are actually referring to her as a "manager", though. The last official "manager" ( referred to as a "manager" ) we've had in WWE was actually Daivari. Vince seems to hate managers and actually using the term "manager". Like Ross says, I guess managers equate to "rasslin" in Vince's eyes. Another misguided concept of his.

I think that she does her job extraordinarily well. She gets up the noses of the people who watch the shows and you really begin to hate her. Let's not forget though that that is what she is supposed to do. That is why she is back and that is why she was there in the first place. I think this is just another way for WWE and namely Vickie Guerrero up our noses. What she does best. I also think that it must be good judging by your reaction.

I'm not a fan of Vickie, but I don't mind her putting over someone younger, instead of Edge. I was surprised to see Escobar made it, but why not? Who else would realistically be in the match? Matt Hardy is pure talent enhancement. There's a thread on this, check it out.

Sure, he would have gotten a pop, but where would he really fit in? This is mostly about the showdown we'll see between Show and Jericho, and to let guys like Escobar, Ziggler, and McIntyre work with people they may never meet one-on-one, like HBK and HHH, and for guys like Cody to face off with Jericho and Kane.

Calm down man. Don't let it ruin your week. I really don't see how this is a problem. I haven't seen Escobar yet, but I'm looking forward to watching him. I think it's good he spent four years in developmental. You think maybe the guys who get fired after three months would have benefited from more experience? This is a good way to get Escobar over right away. He is in a high profile match, but does not have to carry the load. He gets face time with a lot of big stars without having a lot of pressure on him. So many people complain that new stars aren't being pushed. Here we have one and there's still complaining. Someone debuting in a big match is hardly a new concept. It's happened many times over the years. I bet if they had him wrestle Jimmy Wang Yang and Funaki for the next few weeks you would complain he was being held back. Let's give this guy a chance and see what he can do. I have to admit that I thought Vickie was a good heel GM, I mean she was a great heat magnet and was arguably the most booed person on Smackdown during her time there and then during her brief stint on RAW.

I know some people will say that all Vickie drew was the so called 'X-Pac heat' or cheap heat because she was actually hated rather than being booed for her talent as a wrestling heel personality. Regardless of where you stand on that, the fact is she got the live audiences booing and her catch phrase 'Excuse Me!' was really effective in my opinion (hey, at least she had a catch phrase...that's something that a lot of WWE wrestlers can't even claim to have).

However, I think what I liked about her was that I saw her transformation from a clueless, hapless individual into a suprisingly competent on screen character and I respected her for making that progress.

Overall, NO, I don't want Vickie fired asap...hopefully she will help Escobar draw heat (who better for a new heel to be paired with, really?) and I for one am glad to see her being used in a traditional managerial role...if only this was the beginning of WWE using managers again.

I kind of like the fact that Vickie is back. She gets great heat and just really annoys people. That's what her character is supposed to be like and she pulls it off beautifully. I like the idea of her being an annoying heel manager and I hope she stays in that role.

As for Escobar, I haven't seen the guy so I don't know. However, to be honest, I think I'd much rather see him than Matt Hardy in this match. Escobar is a bit of a wild card that we don't really know much about and Vickie could really generate some great heat for him. I know he hasn't done anything in the WWE but, with the way they've lined up the Smackdown team for the tag match at Bragging Rights, it kind of makes sense. With the exception of Jericho and Kane, there's not really anyone on the team that's accomplished much. Most haven't been in the WWE long enough to accomplish much. On the surface, they look as though they'll get demolished and I think that's what the WWE is ultimately counting on.

Vickie has a track record of doing her job well, which is to generate monster heat from the WWE audience. She elicited major heat from the crowd just by her presence), but they have a guy in Escobar that they want to build up. What better way to do that than to strap one of the biggest heat gainers in recent history to him?

And by the way, Raw is going to win because they have DX on the team. It wouldn't matter if the Smackdown team had Punk, Batista, Taker, and Mysterio on it.

Vickie Guerrero generates a bigger reaction than literally everyone in the WWE, even Cena. It doesn't matter if its "X-Pac" heat, whatever that really means. Think about it, if people really didn't want to see her, they'd just leave the arena to get snacks or whatever when she appears, not stay and boo. Vickie isn't exactly talented as such, but her reaction is certainly worthy of her presence in the company. It is probably right to haveher as a single appearance talent, and I guarantee that her presence has probably given Escobar a 2 or 3 month shortcut in heat generation.

Eric Escobar on the other hand... am I the only one not impressed by him? He's as bland as they get as far as both look and ringwork go. He'll probably be let go in six months and Vickie will be stuck with someone who deserves the rub from associating with her.

That said, I can't be the only one who wants Vickie to start wrestling. She's more over than any other Diva in the WWE by miles. It's hard for me to argue against the idea that this is EXACTLY the type of purpose Matt would be best as serving from here on out.
