Yes... I have decided not to perform a Time Warner/AOL by pulling the plug. The FECS device will always deny failure as the FECS system only reviews the biggest and/or the best fueds man has ever seen within the walls of professional wrestling. And before we start, the 1st FECS reviews thread in the series looked at the Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James fued. After tallying those votes [ by those who decided it wasnt a big deal to click two buttons] & the FECS device crunching the numbers, the conclusion comes to that the fued rated:

6 Stars

Congradulations to Trish & Mickie for putting on one of the greatest women's wrestling fueds of all time. Now, for todays look:

The Invasion Storyline

This is the part where I devulge into my hybrid analystic discussion mode [also known as the FalKon's HAD mode], but there are websites taking up space with information on this. For basic knowledge on the subject, use this Wikipedia address:

A very controversial storyline considering the fans point of view. Some like it, others dont. Now it is time to relive these moments once again & rate the fued. Personally, it earns a 3.5. The idea on captilising WWE vs. WCW/ECW dream matches was absolutely awesome, the start point was solid & the end match was solid. Everything in between besides those who defected for storyline purposes was very forgetable. If it werent for VKM's grapefruits to get across the message that WWE is better than its competition, this might have instantly made it 6 stars.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: If this thread needs to be moved, please do so. I apoligise if its not in the right area but I assumed it would be here since it is "recent" & occured within WWE programming.

In theory this was what we wanted to see for years. WCW and ECW invading WWE. It started off strong, Shane buying WCW from Vince on that Raw plus the image of Vince McMahon starting off Nitro made for amazing moments. Then the subtle hints like WCW cheering on Shane during the Shane/Vince WM Match. Plus you had what I feel is the real superkick heard around the world of Lance Storm invading Raw. But to many, and rightfully so, the real start of the invasion came on that Raw broadcast that I feel is the greatest Raw in history, ECW invading Raw then the revelation that WCW and ECW were now a union. Brilliant. For a few weeks it was brilliant, however that soon changed. Once the novelty of WCW and ECW invading WWE wore off, people began to realize that the key players were not involved. It would not be for another year before we would get Flair, DDP, Outsiders, and Hogan. The closest thing the Alliance had to a top tier athlete was Booker T and as TNA as recently showed us, Booker is far from main event worthy. McMahon even tried to give the Alliance a powerhouse in Austin to make it work but to no avail. Bischoff himself has commented that the WCW that invaded was far too watered down to be successful.

People have also commented that McMahon himself was a problem with the invasion in that he would not allow the Alliance to gain any momentum because it would risk hurting his boys and there was no way Vince's ego was going to allow his old competitors to make his own look weak. Personally I can't blame Vince for this, like I said, there were no people in the Alliance that should have been able to take down a HHH, Rock, or Pre-Alliance Austin.

We all know what COULD have been with that story line. Simply put they failed to have a couple high profile WAY over guys come in and be the head of the invasion. Those guys (Outsiders, Hogan, etc) could have even been temporary to get the lesser stars over (Storm.....etc). They were all burried and were not built up to be any real threat to the WWE. Dumb. Simply fckn dumb.

Now what about now? Could you do an invasion now? I was thinking with the "new talent initiative" it might (kinda a stretch) work with FCW. Thinkk about it like this. The new fresh young bucks are tired of being kept down, used as jobbers...they revolt n try to take over RAW/SD!ECW.
You could even set it up where a few of the guys just debuted quit for those same reaasons. What's his name with the towel comes to mind.....

One of the big problems is that they made it all about the McMahons. Having Shane buy WCW was a good move, but having Stephanie buy ECW was were they dropped the ball. By having them join forces, that was smart, but putting Shane and Stephanie at the forefront was wrong. If they were smart they would have brought in Bischoff much sooner to front the WCW side and put Heyman as the head of the ECW contingent. Having those two join up to go after the man who put them out of business would have been classic. It's a shame that Vince let his ego get ahead of him, as he should have let the Invasion guys get an upperhand at some point. That, he should have been willing to dish out the big bucks. If he really looked at things, he should have bought up the contracts of Goldberg, Flair, Hogan, and many of the other big stars. Sure, it would have cost a little bit, but just think about the revenue that would be made over the course of a couple of ppvs. We would have seen the dream matches we wanted at the right time and not during some botched one-offs. Austin and Angle should NEVER have been apart of The Alliance. It should have been main-event WCWers. As some have said New Japan (I believe it was) did an invasion the right way and actually let the invaders get over. From this it's proof positive that Vince will always do things his way and never listen to what the fans want. :crossbones:

From a fans point of view yes vince shoulda went all out. Look at it from his, 1 it would cost a lot of money. 2 he didn't risk making the WWE/F guys look like the WcW guys were the dominant 1's. If vince woulda done it right n put the outsiders, goldberg,Hogan n Bishoff. Then it coulda worked.
