David French changed my life
This is my first thread so my apologises if this has been done recently and I missed it, I checked back and have not seen it posted recently. When a superstar makes a debut or return they are often some of the most exciting moments of WWE TV, even if you have already heard the rumours of a debut/return, they can still be edge of the seat moments that are remembered for a lifetime.

So I was wondering what are the peoples favourite return/debut? My personal favourite was the debut of Tazz at MSG, the viganettes had played for weeks, the rumours all over the boards, everyone seemed to know, and especially his home town crowd in New York, Kurt Angle cut a great promo, his music hit, and it must of been one of the biggest pops iv heard from a WWE crowd, it was a trully electric moment IMO, and one ill never forget

Funnily enough, when I read the thread title the very first thing I thought of was Taz(z) and his immense debut at the Garden. I popped like crazy and so did the hardcore fans in NYC that night. The match with Kurt rocked and got the PPV off to anamazing start. The Tazplexes were just an amazing sight to see in a WWF/E ring. Pity they didnt capitalize on the debut and lumbered the Human Suplex machine with a Bossman feud....

I loved the night when Tommy Dreamer and RVD showed up and ran riot with their old ECW brothers, how crazy was that episode.

How about the time Hugh Morrus debuted with the WCW Logo flashing on the tron and the siren blaring? Same for Lance Storm. Crazy pops for mid-carders that you wouldn't hear today for Main Eventers!!!

My favorite Invasion memory has to be O'Haire and Palumbo's run-in on Smackdown. They obliterated The Hardy's with ultra strong offense and Sean O'Haire even hit his awesome version of the Swanton Bomb. The WWF boys had the last laugh though as the locker room emptied and destroyed the Invaders. Man I miss these days....

Favorite debut would have to go to Jerichos WWE debut. It was just insane. Rock was my second favorite, and to see Jericho keep up with him was amazing. I had never really saw Jericho compete in WCW, because when I was watching WCW he didnt have anything to do. He was doing those segments where he was going to DC talking about conspiracys. His return was awesome too. I would also say I loved Lesnars debut. I was like WTF, who his this guy. He did like a triple bomb on Spike Dudley and F-5 the hell outta Maven. I instantly saw a star. And then you have Triple H's return after the quad tear which was classic. I also loved Kanes return when he came back with the new mask and he had leaned up

My Debut would have to be the Invasion storyline I was only like 10 years old when I saw it I thought it was great all these WCW and ECW wrestler's coming in from the crowds and attacking the WWF guy's.

My Return would have to be HHH from 2002 & The Rock return from 2011 & The Undertaker's return from 2000 ( American Bass Gimmick)

Yes. To me, Jericho's was, and still is, the one that I will always remember as the best. It was just perfect in every way. I still love Kane's as well. Everyone was like, "ZOMG!1 It's Undertaker's brother!", and out walks this masked giant from hell! I'll never forget it.

Mine is the NWO's debut at No Way Out (same letters in case no one noticed). It was magic, imagine seeing Hogan, Hall and Nash return to the WWE for the first time since they left for WCW in the 90's. Another one was Nash's return at Royal Rumble 2011 as Diesel. Did you see the pop he got when he went out? In case you missed it here is the link:

^ you reminded me of the return of Hulkamania in the early 2000's! How could I have forgotten that one!? I absolutely LOVED when the Hulkster came back in the red and yellow. Such a great time.

I have to agree with the majority of the posts so far regarding the Jericho debut, the build up, the drama everything in the run up to his debut was so spot on a stunning and unforgetable WWE moment

The Jericho debut is my alltime fave.

Since everybody and their moother has already said that I'm going to go extremely recent and say KHARMA... I loved it. The vignettes were frigging awesome and just pumped me up to see the debut. Now she debuts and demolishes Michelle McCool to pieces forcing her to leave WWE. And now in several weeks she has obliterated Mayse, Alicia Fox and EVe Torres... Don't get me wrong Jerichos will always be the best but I'm loving this debut

Tazz' WWE debut reminds me alot of Scott Steiner's.

Both made their WWE debut at MSG and went suplex happy on their opponent. Good stuff.

I totally agree with all the returns/debuts that everyone mentioned. There are 3 debuts not mentioned that I liked as well (more so due to the vignettes these 2 had, not so much what they did in the WWE, and the 3rd for his promos after his debut)

1. Boogeyman, simply because of the whole clock smashing and use of "I'm the Boogeyman, and I'm coming to get ya!" line...not to mention the eating of the worms.

2. Kizarny, had the whole Carnival look to him which I thought was interesting.

and lastly

3. Muhammad Hussan/Davari-loved their promos after coming to the WWE. I don't remember the vignettes for him though.

Mine are:

-Can you break the code??? Jericho's return was incredible.

-I also have to mention the return of DX when no one expected them to reunite.

-The debut of Goldberg on Raw

-The Rock's return as a heel from Hollywood, his promos for Goldberg were classic

-Radicalz invade Raw– Dean Melenko, Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, and Eddie Guerrero

-not to mention the debut of NWO on WCW, the whole invasion angle.

DEBUT:

1) RAW IS JERICHOOOOO! The final Millenium Countdown still gives me goosebumps.

2)THE RADICALZ. Seeing Benoit, Guerrero, Malenko, Saturn jump the guardrail was just awesome. That was the deathnail in WCW's coffin.

RETURNS:

1)THE UNDERTAKER in the Spring of 2000. His first appearance as the "American Badass" version of the Undertaker. I remember those spooky little girls saying "He's Here". Then he rode down to the ring, music blaring, and cleared DX from the ring. That was pretty awesome.

2)THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR at Wrestlemania 8

Chris Jericho and Big Show had the best WWE debuts in my book. I remember watching PPVs back before digital when you could see the scrambled video and sometimes it came in pretty clear, that's how I saw Big Show's debut when he threw Austin through the wall of the cage. Jericho was definitely the all time best, it'll probably never be topped.

I don't know if this is supposed to be WWE only, but I'm going to jump over to TNA and mention Kurt Angle's debut - for me, it's the strongest of the recent big ones because it was kept as quiet as it was - I LOVED the Jericho debut (and return) and the WWE Goldberg debut, but all three of those spots were spoiled because word got out on the internet. Watch the youtube of Jericho's debut - there are people holding up "Millenium Man - Jericho" signs. The crowd started chanting "Goldberg" at one point during the Rock's promo that Goldberg interrupted. Then watch Angle's debut - those people had ZERO idea that was coming. The pop is ridiculous.

When it comes to debuts Jericho is my favorite hands down. Back in 1999 the internet was around but wasn't as popular. Even though most fans knew it was him behind the millennium countdown. There was still some doubt as who it was. The whole vignettes leading up to it and his actual debut was awesome. With the wrestling sites and spoilers today it just wouldn't have been as much of an impact now as it was then.

If this isn't WWE only, i can't believe i forgot this one. Rick Rude redebut in WCW by joinning the NWO. That was huge, really huge. If you don't know why let me explain it to you. At the time you didn't have the 90 days no-compete clause that forbid anybody from any company (WWE,WCW,ECW) from jumping ship when they were fed up. Rick Rude was working on a per appearance deal with WWE and was part of the original DX. Also at the time Raw was taped a week earlier so when Rude appeared on Nitro it was at the same time that he was supposed to be at Raw. Here is the link if you don't know what i'm talking about.
