Family Matters

the WWE is a family busness, no i dont mean in terms of Vince buying it from his dad, and it was run by his whole family at one point, i mean performer wise, from like The Hearts, to newer ones such as the Uso's.

so which angle involving family (and i mean REAL families.. not Undertaker/Kane)
did you enjoy most?

The one that always made me laugh was the relationship with Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher. everyone knew that Brian was his son, but King would say on a weekly basis "Thats Not My Son!" yet you would see him all the time helping Brian out in matches and sucking up to him more than Cole sucks up to Miz today. Hearing the jokes JR, or whoever else was the play-by-play man made about the whole thing, Even Vince himself when at the desk made a lot of them. dont ask why, but for me, that one was the most enjoyable to watch.

I have to go with the Corporate Ministry. It turned McMahon face for awhile and made it a father-son battle, just to turn right back around and say, "Gottcha Bitch"!

"It's Me Austin!....You all Fell for it!" -McMahon

Matt vs. Jeff Hardy. Though I don't buy Matt as a heel, it's always fun to see brothers beat the tar out of each other! I thought they had some great matches.

"It's Me Austin!....You all Fell for it!" -McMahon

Why I remember this quote is because Jim Ross said straight after...

'Son of a bitch!!'... Classis JR though aint it...

I have to say Bret and Owen, I mean these 2 had a great feud and another thing was, they had similar in-ring work and their matches were close to 5 star ratings...And also EVERYONE in the family even brother in law Davey got involved!

i have to say Bret and Owen these were always great matches two of the best to ever step in the ring. i loved to watch them in the ring there was no end to there talent they could steal the show every time.

There are a couple I liked.

I for one was a huge fan of Hardy vs Hardy. They put on great matches and I loved some of the promos.

And of course we have Owen vs Bret. Amazing matches:) Great fued. I loved it.

But none of us can forget.... well ANY of the Mcmahon fueds. Wheather it was Shane vs Vince, Vince vs Steph, or the whole Mcmahon-Helmsly angle. I found them all entertaining.

This is just IMO.

I would go with the Bret / Owen fued. They did it old school and kept keyfab during the whole process , acting like they were fueding in public as well as in the ring. Not only were the matches great but the whole approach to the angle was done well.
I also enjoyed the many McMahon angles over the years. They are always entertaining , my favorite of those was when Shane snaked WCW out from under Vince.

I want to say Bret vs. Owen, but the various McMahon feuds were better. Bret vs. Owen had the classic little brother vs. big brother story. The McMahons were a fucking soap opera, and could still come out and have a credible family feud if they wanted. (Obviously, this is more difficult now than it was a few years ago. ;) )

Hardy vs. Hardy always felt stinted to me. Yes, it was the logical booking decision. The best tag teams often make the best adversaries. (People often would ask when Kendrick would throw London through the barbershop window, for instance. Too bad the WWE never pushed that feud, but Kendrick was too busy pissing off management at the time.) Bret vs. Owen appeared to have real, sincere venom. The Hardys seemed to be going by the script. (And how predictable was Jeff Swanton'ing the tied-up Matt Hardy? I would have been more surprised if he got off the ladder and hugged him. Damnit, WWE, you don't have to end every confrontation with the heel being defeated in every sense of the word.)
