Just like my other thread, but the opposite. Yes, I'm going somewhere with this.

5. Tim Duncan. Class personified. Had a championship team built around him, humble as ever.

4. Peyton Manning. Hilarious guy, clean cut, never let 'the life' get to him.

3. Drew Brees. He didn't get butthurt like ELi Manning not liking where he was drafted. He quietly learned his craft an brought the Lombardi Trophy to New Orleans - the city that needed it most - and stoped to build fucking houses on his way.

2. Ken Griffey Jr. Against the backdrop of cheating multi-millionaires killing the home run records, Junior battle legit injuries and still stands as one of the greatest sluggers of all time.

1. Kevin Garnett. I've liked him since day 1 in Minnesota. Uber-competitive, and not a diva. ANYTHING's POSSIBLE!

5. Chad Ocho Cinco- He's a cocky son of a bitch but I love that about him. He is always entertaining but still gets the job done on the field.

4. Donovann McNabb- The Eagles used to be my other team after the Lions and McNabb was the reason for it. He is a tremendous qb and an entertaining guy off the field as well.

3. Chauncey Billups- He helped lead the Pistons to an NBA title and his leadership has been missed since he was traded. AI is no Chauncey Billups.

2. Charles Woodson- Loved him at Michigan and have loved him during his whole stint in the NFL. Possibly the most talented corner to ever play the game and is now one of the classiest, hardest working guys in the league.

1. Ben Wallace- The real Big Ben in sports has been my favorite basketball player since he first came to Detroit. He was the heart and soul of the championship team in 2004 and the Pistons in general every season he has played here. He is the back bone of the franchise and personifies the phrase "going to work."

Shaq - Ever since he came to the NBA back in 92'-93' season I've been a fan of his. Very talented basketball player, actor not so much. He has always been liked for his funny media interviews. He's just like a big teddy bear.

Peyton Manning - Is the perfect definition of a role model, for someone kids should look up to. Just a class act when it comes to professionalism. I just don't see how someone could not like him.

Ryan Miller - The guy shot up my list when he finally proved he can stop shots from the point this year. I think he also became an American hero for his performance at this years Winter Olympics.

Chipper Jones - Much like Griffey, he is also one of the pure athletes from the steroid era. I always liked Chipper since he came into the league but ever since David Justice left the Braves Chipper has held that top spot. He's another guy that didn't let the money get to him.

Chad Johnson-Ochocinco-Hachi Go - A lot of people probably don't like him, but I always did. He is fucking hilarious with some of the shit he does for his on/off field stuff. Hit that rough patch with the Bengals and fans, but is now loved more than ever by them. He always interacts with fans too, whether on Twitter or Ustream.

1. Steve McNair - I met the guy several times and live really close to his house, and he was the QB of my team when I was younger, I gotta show my respect for the man.

2. Chad Ocho Cinco - Like Big Sexy said, he's cocky as hell and really entertaining.

3. Eddie George - Much like Steve, I've met him him and his family several times and he was the RB for my team when I was young.

4. Jeff Fisher - He's been the coach for the Titans/Oilers my whole life, so I respect his ability to keep his job for this long.

5. Peyton Manning - Yes, I know, he's the rival QB, but he went to UT and is very classy and hilarious, he also seems like he would be a really friendly person.

5. Chad Ochocinco - As it has been said before, I love his off field antics. He actually seems like a cool guy to be around.

4. Peyton Manning - He's a pretty funny guy and I can think of things not to like about him. He's a hard worker and team leader. He's a model quarterback.

3. Chipper Jones - My favorite baseball player of all time. He's the heart and soul of the Braves. He's a nice guy as I've actually met him. I wish his career can end on a better note than what it seems right now.

2. Jared Allen - I like his attitude and the way he plays. You never hear a bad thing about him and he seems like the guy who you can instantly be friends with.

1. Matt Ryan - A homer pick, I fell in love with him in the 08 season. He's a great act on and off the field. I hope that he's around to lead the Falcons for a long time.

5) Peyton Manning. I've loved this guy since his days at Tennessee. Funny guy, great QB.

4) Rex Ryan. Some say he's an asshole and talks too much shit, but I love that. He's a man's man. Politically correct? No thanks.

3) TJ Oshie. Great kid, high energy player, and the future of the Blues. Cool guy to boot.

2) Junior Dos Santos. Favorite fighter in the UFC and has a championship bout against the winner of the Lesnar-Velasquez fight. Hasn't been fighting since he was a kid, but is already a top tier heavyweight.

1) Ken Griffey Jr. My favorite baseball player of all time, clean, played hard, and was flat out exciting. One of the greatest ever.

Okay, assuming its still current likes, not all-time, same as the other thread:

1. Niklas Lidstrom. As a Red Wings fan, I never thought that after Yzerman left, that the Wings would still be able to remain a top tier NHL franchise. However, Lidstrom has proven he is a great team leader on his own merits, and not just as second in command to "The Captain". Yzerman will ALWAYS be my favorite Wing, but Lidstrom has done a fantastic job on his own.

2. Denard Robinson. He has only started 3 games at Michigan, but he has been damn fun to watch, like a freaking video game. Stop calling him Shoelace, call him Joystick. But, on top of that, he seems like a fairly humble guy, not a diva. That matters a lot to me. In the dislikes thread, TO was #1 because of the narcissistic "me first" attitude, and I HATE those kind of players, no matter how talented they are...Robinson so far, despite the gushing the media has done over him, hasn't showed any traces of it getting to his head.

3. Drew Brees. He has been one of my favorite football players since before he got shafted out of the Heisman by that no-talent hack, Chris Weinke. Then, when the Chargers got Rivers, and he hurt his shoulder, I wanted Detroit to trade for him in the worst way. I already made that trade every time I started a new franchise on Madden, so I wanted it for real.

4/5 (tie) Peyton Manning/Tom Brady. Both are simply great QBs, I am enjoying watching both of their Hall of Fame careers. I should hate Manning. In 98, it was between him and Charles Woodson for the Heisman, and his fatass coach Phil "I eat way past I'm" Fulmer voted for Nebraska in the USA Today/Coaches poll out of spite because Woodson won. But, Peyton is simply a master QB. I love Tom Brady, I love seeing any Wolverine do well in the NFL, as opposed to getting busted for a DWI at 5am...Pay attention, Braylon.

Ryan Giggs A true footballing legend. Has been at the top since 1991-92, and is still a fantastic player. He is the most successful player in the history of the English game, and despite being in the public eye since he was just a kid, he has been a model pro his entire career. A perfect role model for any up and coming sportsman

David Beckham Becks is another wonderful role model for a sportsman. He has never given less than 100% wherever he has played, he fought back from being a national hate figure after the 1998 world cup to become a national hero again. The man loves England, his career, his family and has done so much work to promote the game abroad, the olympics and charity work in general. He also seems a great bloke

Andrew Flintoff- A fantastic cricketer, who has brought excitement to the sport for years. It was very sad to see Freddie retire last week, his body just could not withstand the force of the big man powering in to bowl any more. He will always be remembered for the 2005 Ashes series, where he was such a big part, and the drunken red-eyed celebrations that went on well into the next day. Another nice bloke, I have met him and he is a top guy.

Roger Federer- Just an incredible sportsman. He has been an amazing player over the years, and will go down as one of the all time greats, no doubt about it.

Kevin Davies- The Bolton Wanderers Centre Forward. Most of you won't know him but I LOVE the man. He may not be the greatest player in the world, but he gives EVERYTHING in his body for the team in every single game he plays. He is big, strong, powerful and defenders hate playing against him. He always plays with a smile on his face, and is currently the team Captain.
Bolton got him on a free transfer after he had struggled at his previous club, but at age 33 he is still the 1st name on the team sheet, and if Emile Meskey can get 50 caps for England, Davo should have been given a run out for his country. LEGEND

Plus he has now scored more Premiership goals than Eric Cantona lol

5. Jonathan Papelbon: Now I usually hate anything associated with the Red Sox, but there is something about Papelbon that I like. He is competitive and wants to win. Its also the stare. He may play in Boston, but I respect him.

4. Jonathan Toews: Team captain at 20 years old and led his team to a championship. I think that says a lot about his leadership and personality in general.

3. Joe Mauer: I've heard a lot of stories about him and all of them say how classy, down to earth, and loyal he is. Even if you hate the Twins, you cant help but like Joe Mauer.

2. Zach Parise: The guy just plays his heart out. I cant say that I have ever seen anyone else play with more energy and hustle than him. Every current and future hockey player should look at this guy and inspired to do just like him.

1. Derek Jeter: The Captain. He's a leader and thats all it is. He plays in the biggest city for the biggest team, but doesnt let it get to his head. He understands that he is representing a team and organization and it factors into everything he does. A true consummate professional.

1. Drew Brees - He brought my all time favorite franchise, one I rooted for literally my entire life, a championship, and there's no telling how many more he'll bring during his tenure in New Orleans. Plus, he carries himself with absolute class and honor, and you can tell he genuinely appreciates the fans and their support.

2. Nick Diaz - My all time favorite MMA fighter. Some people don't like the way he carries himself, but I love how he goes into each fight with this "Fuck the World" attitude. That's how people in his sport need to be, if they expect to be winners. And the fact is, once the fight is done, Diaz shows nothing but class and respect to his opponents. Plus, his interviews are absolutely hilarious.

3. Carmello Anthony - Meh, not really a personality thing; he's just my favorite basketball player to watch these days, which I guess in turns makes me like him as a person, even though I don't know much about him.

4. Takanori Gomi - My 2nd favorite MMA fighter of all time. He's a class act outside the ring, but an absolute warrior in it. He gives it his all every single fight, and always looks to give the fans their money's worth. He's the most exciting fighter in MMA history, bar none.

5. Ricky Williams - I followed this man all throughout his career. From Texas, to New Orleans, to now Miami. Some people are off put by his hippie ways, but I think the guy is just a shy, peaceful human being, and it's nice to see someone as tough as he is on the football field be so gentle in real life. He'll always be my favorite Running Back of all time.

1. John Elway- I still remember watching him win two Super Bowls. Definitley one of my favorite players of all time, and one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. And a truly nice guy, I met him once at a training camp, he was polite as hell.

2. Terrell Davis- Same thing goes for TD.

3. Allen Iverson- Iverson has always been a favorite of mine, he was such an exciting player, and such a funny guy.

4. Michael Jordan- I love how ultra competitive he is, and the shit talk on the court is hillarious.

5. Knowhshon Moreno- My favorite player in the NFL right now, and a promsing 'back for the Broncos.

Honerable Mention: Josh Selby, PG for the Kansas Jayhawks.

1: Steve Nash: Class act. This guy is humble as ****. Not to mention hilarious, seriously. Also does much for charity
2: Kurt Warner: Same reasons, without the hilarious part.
3: Michael Jordan: He's just awesome as hell! The greatest basketball player of all time, so I've idolized him. He's got a natural competitive streak that's really great. Sure he might be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he's earned it.
4: Mariano Rivera: Like Jeter, he's a Yankee class act and veteran. This guy is so consistent, I usually know he'll save...even though he does have a few blown ones. Humble too.
5: Drew Brees: Ultimate package. He does his best to win. He always tries to cheer up NO fans too. So yeah

1. Allen Iverson-Always outspoken and no one put their body on the line like AI did. Great personality and his toughness can't be matched when it comes to the NBA.

2. Randy Moss-The guy is a bona fide diva and is known for taking plays off. But the guy is a goof ball. Who can forget his "mooning" of the Lambeau faithful and his crazy hairdos. Plus the incident with the Randy Moss masked fan a year or so ago in NE.

3. Chad Ochocinco-Probably the biggest personality the NFL has seen. From his celebrations to his tweeting the guy is a moment waiting to happen.

4. Jared Allen-A redneck, mullet wearing, mustache rocking, wild game hunting son of a gun. JA is pure awesome all the time. He is a walking quote and one of the best personalities in the game today.

5. Brian Wilson-This guy is just awesome and totally out there. A ninja who wears too much awesome on his feet. Guy is all over the place and you can see his greatness in this Jim Rome interview.

I'll try not to get too homery here. You never know though.

1. Hines Ward. Always been my favorite Steeler. Tough as nails on the field, will always make the big play. Plus, he just got named to some advisory board for Obama. Overall, great guy.

2. Troy Polamalu. Much like Hines, not only a great player, but a great guy as one. One of the nicest human beings on the planet, even though he'll freakin' kill you when it's game time.

3. Kevin Durant. The future of the NBA. Class act, tremendous player, leagues leading scorer, and only 21 years old. Simply incredible.

4. Mario Lemieux. He doesn't play anymore, but he's still top class as an owner. Never takes any of the spotlight, even though he probably deserves it. He's terrific.

5. Bill Simmons. He's a sports personality, right? Enjoy all of his columns, podcasts, books, etc. Love his whole outlook and point of view and agree with him when it comes to almost anything.

Honorable Mentions - Sid the Kid, Ricky Williams, LeBron (simply because of watching him play), Brandon Knight, LeVance Fields, Josh Hamilton, the list can go on and on.

5. Chad Ochocinco - the man is damn fun to watch. Great Athlete and Entertainer

4. Kobe Bryant - The man has a zone no one in the NBA today can go into....and he wins titles simple...he alot more mature now days as well

3. Devin Hester - If the Bears let him he could be the most electrifying man in football...and he can be a descent receiver (i hope for my bears sake)

2. Drew Brees - well helps he beat the colts (i live in Indiana all i hear bout are those damn colts) and he not only helped re build the saints into contenders but Helped the city of New Orleans!

1.Denard Robinson - Just look at my signature....he accounted for 94% of the teams offense against Notre Lame (again being only 10 min away from Notre Lame i love it when they lose!) and he hasnt had under 300 in a game yet...and is top 15 in about every category for a QB in the nation....and he plays for the Maize and Blue and the Most Winning Program in College Football history
